Can’t believe I just found this channel, just watched all three Sulla videos. The UA-cam algorithm should be put on a proscription list for this crime against amazing content.
Honestly the way the Senate tried to took the command from Sulla not once but twice should not have left any one surprised how he treated them once he came back from the east.
You should have thousands of subscribers. What a talented storyteller you are. I'm hooked!
Sulla , nooooo doubt a talking point for a lot of historical debates. Love or hate him .he made his mark in roman history..a paradox good and bad .personally I liked him ..
Just finished this, part 3...it is brilliant. There are few writings and resources about Sulla to be found. Such an astonishing, ruthless, and complicated figure.I dreamed in technicolour after listening to this last evening, Thank you.
I recently found this channel!! What an intellectual gift! I will be reading my Plutarch again!
❤ Magnus Felix sounds like a great name.
Every episode is like time travel ♥️
Sould be called Epic narration breaths life into the historical Sulla.
Amazing! I can t hardly wait to start Henophon. 7 parts or so deep dive. Double fricking rainbow! ❤
O wow I get to be the first comment! I appreciate this man. I crave more history content! Especially a deep dive into Mediterranean heroes and how to apply it to my life today. Keep it up! I’m proud to be an early subscriber.

It sounds like you might be interested in this video series about how the Roman Republic inspired America's founders and shaped the government they created.
I found your channel about a month ago now and honestly the quality of the narration and the storytelling, it’s all been so good. I’ve been going through the trilogies and they’ve all been a pleasure to listen to. I’ve been pretty obsessed with them!
Awesome stuff.. on par with Dan Carlin' hc history. Keep it up.
Great stuff!
Love the history of late antiquity and you have done a wonderful job. Small question: a lot of people recounting that era mention the Gracchi brothers and their liberal legislation and also the topic of proscription on both sides. Did you leave these things out in the interest of time or some other reason?
Thanks! I talk about the Gracchi at length in the Marius biography. I will do a series on them properly some time soon, though. They are the subject of Plutarch biographies.
What a gem of a channel! Subscribed and notifications turned on!
just listen to the sulla vids very good 10/10
Pan. The Greek god of the wild and nature. the Satyr. He could put out a yell that caused people to flee. It's called panic. Greek/Hellenic Mythology.
Love the channel!
Please, please, please, consider doing marcus Agrippa
It is difficult to have a positive view about a character like Sulla, great general without a doubt but he tarnished his reputation after the civil war...not only that he gave the bad exemple that will finally destroy the constitution he wanted to uphold
Don't do that which your enemies can then use against you. First rule of politics.
I know Sulla knew how to use dreams (fake or not) as tools to move masses, but the last one makes me doubt all of his dreams were inveted. Maybe he could acces more of his unconscious or had more resources here than most people. What do you guys think? Not that much info about him on the internet, not to mention this particular search. :)
❤
Is it known if Scipio fell in the prosciptions, or was he perhaps permitted a natural death?
Not sure which Scipio you're referring to here

Campania is pronounced cam-pan-ya
When have anglophones ever worried about that.😅
Excellent. Thanks
I hope Trump learns.
That he should do his own proscriptions when he wins the election?

Excellent as per usual! Thank you for your dedication you have an amazing story telling ability that is very thought provoking. Keep up the great work. I'll keep listening.
