In today’s how to crochet tutorial video I'm going to be showing you how to brush your amigurumi fur using a pet slicker brush. Brushing your pieces gives them a completely different look and can be such a fun addition to your amigurumi pieces.
I’ve used a pet slicker brush on many projects, like on my mini gnome's beard hair and my squirrel's furry tail. Brushing the yarn on these pieces makes it so they looked a bit more realistic. It gives it a fuzziness that wouldn't be achievable otherwise.

Would you recommend acrylic yarn for this then? I’m guessing cotton will not work as well?

I've only ever used acrylic yarn for this. I haven't tried cotton but I'm not sure how well it would work since it's not as "fuzzy" as acrylic. 💖
