    Worked perfect! If you plug in the actuator and turn on the key (before installing) it will put the post in the proper position👍🏼used this on my 07 F250

    Before you replace that item, check the 10A fuse number 25 on the drivers fuse panel. If the fuse is good then buy the actuator from these guys, they're the best. Thanks for sharing 1A. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

    For the heck of it, when the truck is cold blast the heat inside the cab and let the truck warm up with the radiator cap off. See if the level of the anti-freeze drops, if it does there was an air pocket in the system. Top off with some new anti-freeze and you should be okay. Also feel the two heater hoses going into the heater core to see if they're warm and that the thermostat is working correctly. Hope this helps you out.

    @hp11208 It helps to blend the hot/cold AC setting, when you select the range that you would like on the control panel. The temperature door mixes the hot and cold air coming through the vents.

    Is the clunking noise coming from the A/C vents or could it be a noise coming from possibly the engine bay? If you are getting a clunk noise coming from the vents, you could be an actuator trying to move into the correct position.

    1AAuto, Thanks for your videos, they have been a life saver and money saver. I have a 2004 F350 6.0. When I turn on the AC and the truck is not moving, it blows cold air. As soon as I start moving it turns warm and then real warm. When I come to a stop, like at a light, the cold air returns. The freon was checked and was reported to be ok. Thanks in advance.

    To line up the shaft on the new part you can plug it in and turn the key to run, then adjust the temp knob to match the old shaft position.

    • @rolandthethompsongunner64
      @rolandthethompsongunner64 2 роки тому

      That makes sense. Because just shoving the new one in and forcing the blend door to whatever position it will end up in doesn’t seem like it would end up matching your existing regulator position. Thanks!

    You may want to check to see if anything is disconnected under the dash allowing some of the air to escape. If not it may be a door actuator issue.

    You may want to see if there's a vaccum line that has become cracked disconnected in the engind bay or under the hood that could be causing this.

  • @1AAuto

    We currently do not have a video that shows it's location. If you go to the dealer with your VIN # they can tell you where it's located. A lot of times they are located in or behind the glove box or in the cowl area. If you have a service manual or owners manual it should show the location. There may be a loose, broken or disconnected vacuum line somewhere. If there were any vacuum connections when you changed the heater core you may want to check them. Also check the engine bay for a vacuum line that may have fallen off, or needs repair. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48 states.

    @1AAuto  12 років тому

    You may want to check under the dash and under the hood of the truck for a loose, or cracked vacuum line. If they all seem to be fine, it may also be a fuse or possibly a bad door actuator in the heating system. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

    It could be the actuator causing the noise but the only way to find it out is to dive into the HVAC system and see what is the culprit.

    Great video! I need to know where the red vacuum line goes from the switch. You almost showed it behind the glove box but it was blurry. It looks like I may be missing something for the vent ducts too, there is a white duct to no where I can see behind the radio area. I have cold air coming to floor and defrost now,,,I bought an 06 f250 5.4 xl and someone had cut all the vacuum lines out under the glove box and at the selector switch. I found a home for all but the red line. I could not find the black vacuum source takeoff yet so I routed a temporary via the antenna hole to the vacuum box by the battery. I mean they diked off everything. I don't have a evap system/canister either but that is another day. It was a farm truck for all of its life. They even put a bigger fuel tank under it. So that is a simple fun project for when I go to pick a part...

    I was able to do this but…..the stem of the new one’s shaft had to be chamfered with a file for it to go in. After trying way too many times, I figured this out. I even removed the old unit’s shaft to turn the blend door to full closed so I knew where it was for the new unit. So simple! Not. But it’s done! I used a Dorman brand replacement.

    you may want to check for a loose plug or if the system runs on vaccum, check to see if there's a broken vacuum line perhaps under the hood along the firewall or under the dash. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

    I have a 99 F250- I took it to get a A/C recharge the other day and they said it didn't need it. But on a hot TX day, it sounds like the air is blowing full force, but it's just not coming out that way. Could it be the actuator? I hope so, because it looks really easy to install! Thanks

    I have been told the clicking noise is due to the blend door being made of plastic and the groves or fins on the blend door shaft are worn. The clicking is when the blend door has reached the end of the spectrum (hot or cold) but keeps trying to move. Again this is just what I have been told but I have the same noise and I can only get extreme hot or extreme cold. I need a video on how to replace the actual blend door! Thanks.

    You may want to take the blower motor and cage out of the housing to see if there's any debris in that that could be preventing the air from blowing through the ducts. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

    I have a 1998 f150, A/C blow's cold air but heater does not work, The one big problem is for some reason the air does not come out of the vents like it use to.The blower is running but not much air comes out. I've been told it's the "Blend door" and "cabin filter". I can not find a cabin filter. So I guess the next thing is the "Blend door switch". Can you tell me where to find this switch and if I'm on the right track. Thank you very much for your time. Tommy Mobile Alabama

    Hey what do you think the problem is when I’m going up hills or accelerating my AC gets warm.
    Also when I put on the four-wheel-drive the AC switches to defrost and gets warm. Other times the AC is very cold and normal when it starts to get warm going up hills I turn it off wait for a little bit and it gets cold again.

    • @jimmyaber5920
      @jimmyaber5920 3 роки тому

      a VERY common issue on a/c systems with orifice and accumulator and using cycling clutch pressure switch is clutch wear. The gap between belt pulley and the compressor shaft plate gets too big and the magnetic winding gets weaker once it is hot. Compressor runs and the vehicle cools down and then the cycling switch will switch off clutch power for 10-30 seconds and when switch resumes powering the clutch the now hot winding is too weak to pull in the clutch plate due to big gap. Fords and others are easy as the single 8 mm bolt in center of clutch comes out easy and the plate slides off with no puller needed. The front clutch plate uses to shims, one roughly .025" and the other is .010-.015". Usually removing the thicker is enough to bring clutch gap to .015-.020" and it ill work as it should again for tens of thousands of miles.
