Digging a MASSIVE Hole Metal Detecting and FOUND ...

- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- We had to know what was at the bottom! Mark & I returned to the Hammered Silver Farm to finally discover what was at the bottom of one of the Iron patch. The last few times we dug down a few feet and found relics we would have never heard with our metal detectors. This day we dug out the Pit. We found Coins, Relics, Bones, Glass from the 1600's and 1700's. We ended the day Metal Detecting a few new areas on the farm and found more OLD Coins including an early Silver Coin.

I started metal detecting recently, found several trash pits in my backyard, found an enamel license plate from 1920, probably from the car of the first owners of my house. Found 8 coins dating from 1751 to 1981 :) So exciting
that's awesome, wanting to buy a metal detector and dig my yard
@@David_Quinn_Photography love those old dumps!
Lunch and Hoover boys! It’s gonna be a good episode I feel it keep up the good work!
Well, that hole definitely mattered. You could see the layers of history in that trash pit.`
And then Mark finds his silver. Just amazing.
Thanks for sharing your adventure. Glad you didn't dig up any old poopy diapers. 🤣
Thanks Kurt & Muck... nice day digging in the mud, love the boar tusk (rinse it off and coat it a couple times with Mop and Glow to preserve it)
Fun spending time digging out the pit and doing something different ... and then rounding out the day with some old coins at the end 👍⚒😎🎧
Two poles casted out, trout jumping everywhere. About to burn and watch the hoover boys do their dirt magic while I wait for a bite. Best day off ever.
I love seeing what comes out of old garbage dumps. I’m hoping to find one somewhere on my 1850s permission when I finally get to hunt it. Awesome video as usual.
Found you guys weeks ago, have been binging for days. What a blast. Love the really old Homesites and a brothel?! Now totally attached to Bill, Bob, Brad's dimples and Kurt's knowledge! Thank you so much for diversion.
Taught Kurt everything I know. 💕
@@threefortytwo23 Really? I'll check you out.
Congrats Mark on the Reales, that is awesome. Lot of interesting stuff came out of the pit, thanks for taking the time to share it all with us.
WOW! That's amazing, metal detecting and find a wild bored tusk. Asian believe, finding a wild bored tusk is extreme good luck. Great video!
I wonder if Pumba wants his tusk back lol. Very cool Spanish coin congrats. There was some cool stuff in that pit thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Kurt & Muck, for the lesson on another method of metal detecting!
Good job Kurt. Glad to see you’re still having fun. Still love watching you work. You’ve given me an idea. Stay safe. Keith from Kansas
Thanks Keith
That bottle cap flip is the most satisfying intro on this platform
Much appreciated
Hahaha ...while standing in a hand-dug WWI trench network... "My shoulder hurts for some reason."
Very nice finds in that pit, fellas!
Very nice to be with you treasure-hunting! Thanks!
My favorite group! Keep up the good work. Now I’ll watch the rest LOL
Awesome to watch y’all digging up artifacts, relics and coins.
one of the best detecting videos on you tube, not boring gets to the point without a lot of chatter,i only watch 3 different videos, the hoover boys, toddies digs in scotland and Terra Germania from germany,i loved your detecting in england video, HH
“My shoulder’s killing me…”. Hmm… I can’t figure out why🤔. I mean, I really DIG your video😁.
Haha! Thanks
Please screenshot you at the end with your eyes jacked up and post it randomly when you find wheats or memorial cents! Lol
I cracked up when you made that face!😂
Those were some back breaking finds. Lots of bones and pipe they went through some pipes back then. Must of smoked like a train too. Happy hunting and eat your lunch
WTG Muck and Kurt on that hunt and the Various Finds, you Guys made!! Especially, the 1801 SPANISH REALE, and 1873 INDIAN HEAD CENT (Small Date Type)!! Two FANTASTIC Coins in my opinion!! CONGRATS!! NamVetLesTreasureSeeker.
Good choice today to dig a pit to find relics.Great!
Thanks!
I love the Hoover boys saying " take your trash cuz All holes matter!
Thanks Shawn!
The weather has been great here in southwest Virginia...I've already dug a bunch of holes! My goal is a spanish coin of some variety this year...very few pop up for me here. Thanks for keeping the drive alive! ✌️
Another great video. Congratulations on the silver and buttons. All the best from Canada- Paul the Nickel Guy.
Thanks Paul! ATB
Glad to see you made it out and were able to dig that pit! Great finds even if most of it was not coins but some of the relics are way cool too!
Would have loved to see a figural complete pipe bowl come out of there are even the rest of that bottle you found in the other video. Actually that one piece I would have loved to see it cleaned up as it may have been part of that same bottle which looks like it would be a cylinder of some type! Congrats on the coin finds especially the coppers and the reale Muck pulled out at the end! Great video as always Kurt!
Some nice old relics ,buttons & coin out of the "chasm" take some ibuprofen for that shoulder ! wow Muck !
My retirement has been approved. I’d love to start the new hobby digging like you fellas looks like a blast. I have a few acres in Pa.
Welcome aboard!
I said same thing, but after second day 12 hours total it's not a hobby it's a job! Lol
Very cool bunch of buttons and pipes. Lots of great finds. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
the Reale at the end was the cherry on top . ol Muck haha 💥👍🏴☠️🤠
Between the hoover boys and the Grimm bleeper, I consider you guys a mentor to me I have been metal detecting for only 6 months thank you and the guys for helping me into a hobby that I will love to hate so far 2 queen victoria coins 1898 and 1900
Amazing dig once again. Funny how we find treasure in what they thought of as trash. Makes you wonder what we see as trash that in a 100 years will be treasure. I'm sure they will still be "Eating their lunch!"
I can see why detecting is so exciting; you never know what you will get. Just like in a box of chocolates. Congrats Mark! Nice wheat face Kurt. Lol👏
Imagine 200+ years ago they’d never have guessed you’d be digging their trash!
Hahaha! Crazy to think about
One man's trash is another man's treasure
14:58 Oh the Muck is back with a colonial pull tab! LOL That is what I thought is was at first! Awesome Video!
This week on the Hoover boys is the best intro ever
Thanks!
Great finds. Coins could be worth a good bit. Awesome Articles.
Love this channel. I look for it every Wednesday.
Thank you!
Nice pieces of pottery and sweet pewter button! Nice rundown on the ash-line too. I just posted a video on a Victorian era trash pit after a quick scan with a sniper coil. Gotta get back out there and dig it up - Keith
Gotta love digging the pits .
Cracking video guy's 🤜🏻🤛🏻enjoyed watching & some awesome finds 👍🏻😉TC SS GL&HH.
Good job guy's! Congrats on the finds! Lots of nice relics. Sweet reale! Stay safe and all the best!
Love watching you guys. Great job on all the videos. Thanks for the entertainment.
The relics you found were awesome. I hope I find a how that I would restore it and use it to plant pumpkins. God Bless, love your videos.
Nice Finds! I like that yall dug a little bit in the field. That reale was a surprise! Kool Hunt!
That was a great hunt!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching!
This was something new! I think this was refreshing and great! Good job :)
When you pulled out the boar tusk I first thought Raptor claw from Jurassic park 😂
Ditto
Cool boars tusk! I've never seen one of those before!!
Love this channel man! Coolest detectorists on UA-cam! Good luck and Getcha Pull!
Hey maybe the coins Brad planted will be blooming this Spring 😂😂
Hope so ❤️
@@threefortytwo23 hey Brad how are you doing brother man? I'm so glad digging season is on again but I can dig year round here the ground never freezes here. Do you think you and Bobby will be doing more hunting this year? I know you have to work a lot i just enjoy it when you are busting Kurt's chops. Maybe you will be able to take another hundo from him again this season lol. Well bud be safe and don't let any squirrels bite you this year you could catch the rabbies lol.
Hello guys nice finds gig master from Virginia has been in a similar field for over a month digging the same items old bottle tops and bottoms pig tusks good luck
It is good to see something a bit different from time to time. Nice dig! ATB and HH, Sebastian
How you gonna dig a colonial pit without me?? Westerwall, delft ware and redware! That is a awesome pit! I would guess it would be servant related.
Haha! I know there's more pits there
That large antler looks like an Elk antler. As you said, probably an early pit. I'm not an expert on your side or my side of the country, but what I do know is Elk antlers.
Wow, great dig! Thought I was watching Gigmaster for a minute. He doesn't get coins, though. Nice stuff, but I couldn't dig all that dirf! Thanks!
Hi started watching few days ago there some great shows. Can do show what you look for in good metal detector and what found handy take with you on dig. Also if see this you came to UK on holiday detecting do have same sort thing in states. Be handy to know after covid finished.
Big Iron… Should have called the episode Marty Robins.
“We’ll give this coin some tender loving care” as he scratches the hell out of it with the grit from his glove. OMG
Hahaha true!!!
Superb episode kurt, love the wild bore tusk,, great pipe pieces, congrats to boots on the Spanish,
Luck of Muck. I enjoyed that big hole. Good luck guys! Rk.
Hey brother Kurt great video bro I hope you all are getting the beautiful weather that we are here in southern Illinois. Appreciate you and I hope you have a record season man. So you better get to plating your finds lmbo at 10 inches deep this year. To all the people who really think that they plant their finds will you just grow up already. Kurt is one of the most honest people I've ever known. I am back at it now Kurt so keep a eye out for my new episodes.
"A key, a key to a treasure chest"... as they would say on Oak island.
Joke Island **
Could this key be a treasure chest carried by the knights Templar? Or could it be a key to the arc of the covenant guarded by the knights Templar. Or could it be the first clue to discovering the door to the money pit.....
...& then the edited shots would show each person smiling & nodding their heads.
@@EvilSurroundsUs i actually laughed out loud at this. because they all look stupid doing that. they never say anything except "yeah'..:"ok"..."yup"...while nodding their heads. im so invested in this show i cant stop now
That whole tv show has become a joke.
Super video! I applauded for $2.00 👏
Wow! Thank you!!
It was a pretty decent Hunt some cool buttons relics all those parts of the pipes you might be able to put a couple together LOL awesome job on the silver The rest of the coins you guys got to
Hello
Thank you for all the good metal detecting videos.
I would like to get into metal detecting.
What is the Make and model of a good metal detector to buy??
Fella's little more an ya can install a inground pool! Good Luck with future digs✌
What do you guys clean your finds with or in? Ie_ do you use an ultrasonic bath or just toothpicks and water? Also what do you do with everything? Keeping it or selling it?
Great videos
All depends on the find. Toothpick or Bush most things. Water for silver and gold. I've never sold anything. Just collect. Thank you for the support!
Hello Kurt I oews look foward to your metal detecting video's on UA-cam every Wednesday. I am also a metal detector. I do this amazing hobby to help me with my PTSD. And keep doing what you are doing and that's saving history. And my name is Kevin capestro.
That old broken plates design actually looks like 17th century.
Nice day of finds! That lead on end that Muck dug, was that a bullet? Mini ball?
It was post CW
... fixing a hole. A lot of work. But like the "elusive" Wapiti whose antler you found, the accessible turf has been "hunted out". Button, button, who's got the button. LOL You might plan a road trip up North. Maybe Western New York State. We've only recently entered the 20th Century here (LOL); barely scratched the surface. Much history remains to be exposed to the light of day (again). Some of the Oldest Early (is that a conundrum?) Colonial "stuff" to be found. Worth a look see. Anyway, keep on trucking, digging the dig and swinging away at it.

💍 Yuh never know...
New to the channel. Wanting to learn tricks of detecting.
Hi everyone xx
Kurt you are amazing and love what you guys do. I love all the buttons you guys find
Nice little silver find very cool, all the best Cheers from Ontario Canada!
Thanks, you too!
😊enjoyed the video some great finds
would be quite happy to dig a Wheat Cent....! Great video...!
Looks like there was a lot of fun involved there
Absolutely! Thanks
Yay for your found coins. History saved!
Yay for the ride along! 🥰
Tell Bob if he can't find a flying eagle in the USA tell him to to come to Canada. My buddy Arnie got one yesterday. Always enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
loving you guys. My daughter has been bugging me to get her a metal detector for a while. Do you have a recommendation for a good starter detector? She mainly wants to detect the beach in Florida if that makes a difference. Thank you for the awesome videos!
Don't know if you want to hear this from a random person but... Depending on budget, in my opinion the vanquish series is a great start for the beach. It's around $199 for the vanquish 340. Made by the same people that make the equinox, I mean if you've got around $6-700 dollars to spend the equinox is an awesome choice and is also waterproof.
@@TreasureOutdoors appreciate the info. 👍
6:19 that plate you found Is 1690s Kurt!! Great job!
Love you guys we are from England
Love watching your videos Sir. May I ask what state your located at?
Congrats Muck. Nice score! Interesting dig.
Thanks!
I was really hoping that you guys would have the Gig's luck on that one. You have to be wondering where the rest of that bottle is. Nice finds none the less. Will there be a part 2???
We need to try again. Haven't yet
Pit digging is rough rewarding work. Solid video
Thanks Ricky
@@thehooverboys I have a relic I found on a beach in Southern Maryland you might be able to help me identify. Let me know how to reach out and send ypu pictures if you would be willing to help?
Wow that coins so pretty!!!
What an awesome find! Would you smooch on trash-pit Lady Liberty?
Absolutely! No shame in my game
🤘
You may know that aluminium was discovered in 1825 but was not economically produced until 1889. So that helps to date the layer where you are finding aluminum droplets. My guess would be they came from a fire pit not too long ago.
I really dig the mystery that is the muck.
Awesome stuff! How does the plate look on the bottom? It almost looks like dutch Majolica, 17th century. And i think i saw a piece of 'westerwald' pottery. P.s. i found spanish gold a few weeks ago :)
It was smooth. Congrats on the Gold! Spanish G is Marks dream coin
@@thehooverboys ah majolica has a big standing ring. Still cool finds though! Thanks! I was mindblown, its my first gold find in over 15 years of detecting
Awesome finds guys!👍👍👍👍
Looks like that big key could fit in the escutcheon you found....from a treasure chest!! 🤔
Actually looks like the key is too big....anybody have a recommendation for a “starter detector” to buy? Lol I can’t invest too much but I’ve always wanted one....🤔
@@kip_knomore Used AT Pro off ebay.
@@sixditch Awesome! Thanks!
I just bought a Garrett at pro.Can you tell me what you have your settings set at when your treasure hunting?
The small tusk like peace found, it was slowly pulled out , kind of forcefully pulled, like maybe pulled off of something ? I hope that all of ya'll get credit for finding some kind unknown creature. Mainly I hope you duge it up.
