It blows my mind the things you find left from the Civil War and the condition some of the pieces are in. Can you imagine what you would find if you could clear and dig all up that land. Thank you for sharing your finds with us. I wish you luck that one day you find something real rear and great .
Ah this is my first time coming back to watch you in a while very happy to see you still metal detecting I used to watch you a lot as a kid and it got me heavily into rocks minerals mining and detecting myself, and I’m still currently into it as a side hobby
Awesome site!!! Awesome Confederate buttons and Large cent!!! That sandy soil has been very nice to those relics. Thanks for sharing and have a Blessed Day!!!
It's always nice seeing you finding things The Indiana head Penny was my favorite I have a few old coins I have a silver dollar 1892 the year my grandma was born Great 👍 finds Catch you on the next one Fireman 🔥🔥🔥
The big button may be a repurposed Dandy button. If the shank broke off the easiest way to keep using it would be to put 2 holes in it. All the whizzers I have ever found have serrated edges but it could be a local variety. Always enjoy your videos. Keep working on the cartwheel gymnastics.
I found over a 100 large cents in my lifetime and I could count on my one hand the ones that come out of the ground in that nice of condition...............................congratulations on the good finds
What a BLESSED hunt! Those buttons are in such great shape! Love the Largie and the IHP too! Hope to see a few more vids from this spot. Stay warm and God bless!
Great finds , love the buttons, they are my favorites, about 10years ago I went to my brother's farm in Richmond VA and his fields is part of the battle sights there in the outskirts and there are old RR tracks there and one day I was detecting about 15 yards from those tracks, an old engineers shed used to be on that spot so I detected there and found a confederate engineers button by a tree covered by vines and blocked by roots, I know what you mean lol
Fellow digger in East TN. I swing a ml540, most addictive hobby ever, lol. Very much enjoy your channel & easy going personality I think your matron is 1838. Awesome find!!
Congrats again nugget. Another amazing day of awesome finds. Man you have found an awesome site to hunt for those amazing old coins an civil war relics an then some. Great video. Can't wait to see what is still out there to be found if you choose to go back again. Have a great week my friend. An we shall catch you on your next adventure . 😁👍👍
A lot of sites holding coins and buttons were likely, back in the day - when first hitting the soil - unforested and were often plowed or muddy fields with new-growth timber. And as those artifacts are heavier than the surface soil, heavy rains likely pushed them to begin their journey to deeper levels. And subsequent plowing could cover them even deeper. And the steeper the surrounding terrain, the greater depth those items could get covered. When you realize the Civil War ended nearly 159 years ago, and the colonial era ended 100 years before that, several generations of large, mature trees could have come and gone, since the oldest of American artifacts were originally lost in mother earth.
Cool finds . nice large cent. Hope you find your pinpointed. I found a 1899 Barbara dime awhile ago metal detecting. Cool video. Lucky you finding cool civil war buttons
Well done Michael your videos are inspiring as I get closer to calling it a day working retire I know what I am going to do get an AT pro and have at it

My grandpa found one of those large cents in the cornfield across from my parents house when we were looking for arrow heads. He passed away a few years ago so I have it now.
Nice hunt Michael. That brass ring looks like something off of an old military rifle barrel or an old napkin ring? Sweet largie too. I’ve only found one largie, an 1854 Braided Hair large cent. Where I’m from, they are elusive as well as IHC’s. Are you going to be at the Garrett Memorial Hunt in April? If so, bring Daisy with you. My buddy and I will be there. It will be our first time to attend it. I bet it’ll be a blast. Happy Hunts. _/ 👍

Greetings from Northwest Missouri!
The largie is gorgeous, Michael, but those buttons are amazing!!! Love the Infantry and Artillery buttons!❤️

Awesome finds. So living my metal detecting aspirations though you my friend. Here's hoping for gold and silver for you and for us to see.
Some of the artistic historians are taking the old Axe Heads they find and recutting them into works of art resembling ornate ancient Axe Heads .
Awsome hunt & finds thanks for sharing!!!!

could the bracelet shaped item be a barrel band from a muzzle loading rifle?
Cool finds . nice large cent. Hope you find your pinpointed. I found a 1899 Barbara dime awhile ago metal detecting. Cool video. Lucky you finding cool civil war buttons

Musket Band
That unidentified piece looks like a barrel band from a musket!
It’s nice to see someone so interested in the history of the relics rather than the price of them to sell I’ve been watching for over 8 years now

I really like your videos , AND MY GOD BLESS !!!
Thank you very much!
AMAZING GREAT JOB!
Thank you!
The round piece you were asking us what it is could be a decorative piece off a wagon wheel the middle part. I'm just guessing.
Could the round item you found possibly be a musket barrel band?
Dang
I like the way you edit your videos.
I appreciate that!
What's up bro good to see u saving more history keep it up brotha hh stay safe and have fun out there
Love those confederate buttons. Been finding some nice civil war buttons and bullets here in Tennessee last couple weeks.
♥
Great video bro keep digging
Thank you!
What a productive sight. What was the actual time spent there? Was it a camp or skirmish site? Great finds. Thanks for sharing.
New Zealand 🇳🇿
Sweet!
What metal detector do you recommend for beginners? I’m anxious to get started but don’t know what machine to get.
SURE MISS THE SCRIPTURES AND THE GOD BLESS AT THE END. 😊😊😊😊😊
I think your candle holder was a candle snuffer. It would have had a long skinny handle.
The Brass ring could be part of an old rifle. Maybe the ring that holds the barrel to the stock. That's my uneducated guess.
Just thinking, a civil war soldier could have been carrying that large cent!! Really cool.
