Back then, an older woman with a younger man wasn't very excepted. That's a pretty recent thing. The title didn't help either. People must have thought he was 16 years old, instead of 16 years younger.
Oh is this the last. ,we didn't see her have her baby , didn't thay mack eney more ,yes it was such grat show , love the story line to it how she has confident s in her life , doesn't let poele bother her , what she does in her love life ,she happy 😊❤
After her big hit, "To The Manor Born," they came up with this. Both were shown on PBS in the States. This just didn't work but another Penelope Keith show was successful. Can't remember the title but it had a difficult start. They replaced the leading man with the leading man from Manor and it was so much better.
@@maxinejacobson4006 I do believe that SHE remarried and became the Lady of the Manor. So well did she take to country life it were as though Penelope was ' To The Manor Born'.
Yes, sadly it was cancelled after six episodes - the UK press couldn't cope with the notion that "proper" Penelope would portray a woman in love with a much younger man, using headlines like 'Margo to Have Illegitimate Baby'
@@k8nairne Typical close-minded media/networks. Watching this and a few other of Penelope's other series (law and disorder) proved the 'upper crust' Margo and Audrey were just characters she played, but she was just as good at physical comedy (her German aupair in Every Home Should Have One was best part)
I'm so sorry there aren't any more. This is one of funniest and cleverest series I've watched in a long time.
penelope is truly stunning ..... screw felicity ..... through tom good's knitted jumper
In it's time I don't think it was well received. Know I never watched it! Even though I love Penelope Keith.
I’m sad there weren’t more series
Loved this, funny, witty, cheers for this.
Thank you for uploading. Wish there were more.
Omg a verrrrrry young Richard E Grant. Not surprised no 2nd series but fun to revisit this style of comedy. Thanks for the upload.
So sweet and ❤️ warming
I had the biggest crush on Christopher Villiers watching this, I was 14. I'm so glad you've put this series on, thank you so much
Brilliant quick fire British comedy at its best. ❤
Young Richard E. Grant
Ah, I wonder why there wasn't a second series. I really enjoyed the first.
yes it was a good series!
Unfortunately it was pulled due to it being a bit too pioneering for the BBC at the time and the low viewership
@@michaelboulton7733 they were scared because of the age gap, thinking the public weren't ready!
@@delboy198 I know but I was looking for a similar way to word it

Executive stress?
Penelope Keith: in some respects sort of an Eve Arden of the British acting scene....

No, sadly not
Thank you for letting me know. I wonder if it was a boy or a girl!
