TV doesn’t do her justice, I met her several times when I worked as an extra and she was stunningly beautiful; her skin was like porcelain, she was tall and poised and was extremely sexy. She was also so polite and down to Earth,
I could listen to her articulation all day. A beautiful woman on each and every level.
An ugly woman and a complete fake with a manufactured upper middle class background.
She and Mollie Sugden are my favorite actresses which I guess is something coming from an American from Los Angeles. I love listening to Ms Keith and watching her specials on traveling the small villages of Great Britain. I believe she is a woman of true class, as was Mollie Sugden. So much classier, polite, and more refined and “real” than the low rent, amoral gaggle of Hollywood actresses.
May I say, a few glasses of red on a Sunday evening, Penelope doing that interview, and I’m rather in ore of her. Such a fabulous actress in her time, so elegant and sophisticated and such a delight to listen to. Very charmed by her.... Thank you for the privilege of this being posted here.
You're in ore because Penelope is showing her mettle.

Penelope Keith is a national treasure 🇬🇧
Good for her she’s well grounded… love her
What a great interview. Thank you for posting
Delightful lady, with such character, charm and a very nice sense of humour. One of my all time favourite actresses.
Are you kidding
@@DerhamPaul-vo8fr Do you mean, 'are you kidding'?
what a voice
She was one beautiful lady ❤
To my mind she was the very best female guest star on Morecambe and Wise. She gelled so seamlessly into their comedy. One of the funniest things ever broadcast is her hobbling to the front of the stage, turban falling down over her face and Eric sporting her missing shoe jammed by the stiletto heel into his top hat.
love her forthright straight intelligent personality.
Love Penelope Keith ❤
I miss these accents
Oh, we would get along rather well!
They're still around in places.
@@novo6462 do you like tennis?
@@jenniferschmitzer299 Tennis is absolutely splendid, I say!
Great actress. two characters Margo and Audrey of The Good Life and To the Manor Born, both snobby but totally different characters. Impressive.
She was beautiful 😍 very tall lady
The Voice of the British Empire!
Great interview. An upper middle class presenter interviewing an upper middle class actress and convincing each other that they are down to earth and people of the people who are grounded and still not affected.......I don't ever remember in my youth anyone from Slough in those times creating Bargello quilts or strips in between their factory shifts! of course I am being facetious which is so middle class.....or is that upper middle class?????!!!!!
Oh dear, oh dear. There is nothing upper middle class in Keith's background. She is such a complete and utter fake.
It's funny you say that because Sandra Harris is from Australia and doing her best to hide her accent.
F*ck you
Bargello quilt? It’s clearly an embroidery. There certainly are Bargello quilts, but this is not one. Equally, there isn’t much down time in factory work while there is lots of it in film, television and stage. And I have seen nurses on shift doing a little knitting so, it has absolutely nothing to with any class system. It’s exactly what she said, it’s kept her from mindless eating or excess smoking.
Reverse snobbery
Big crush on Penelope
An erudite and delightful lady!
Penelope was born the year I agented infants school 1940 and school leaving age was increased from 14 to 15 years of age.
Joseph Landrut wow!
Astonishingly she's even more posh in real life!
A bit of alright in her day
Interviews then were so much more substantial and well mannered. I wish we had more of that now.
it's too bad that Doctor Who never did a Romana 2 regeneration. Watching her go through severalf different "people" was humorous. I think it would be interesting if when Ncuti goes through his he also goes through several choices, one being Penelope, before settling for another player.
She's a feast for soul. Could watch her all day. Never boring❤🤡
PENELOPE KEITH IS LIKE A NATIONAL TREASURE OF BRITAIN AND THE WORLD. TOTALLY ADORE HER AND I'M SOUTH AFRICAN! 😍
Oh Margo! Or Audrey Forbes Hamilton.
Shame that Dame Penelope started losing work shortly after being invested as she’s a hugely talented actor particularly a wonderful stage performer.
Penelope keith
Dame maggie Smith 😍🥰
Is there any old episode s of Kate which she spoke of.
I cant imagine Penelope playing a "cockney bitch" I think her accent got less upper class as she aged though if you watch more recent interviews she sounds alot less posh but maybe here she was so used to playing Margot it became second nature for her to talk like that in everyday life I spose.
Sandra Harris has got lovely legs….very good interviewer.
🎶Reg! Breakfast!🎶 😂 🫖 ☕️🍞🥞🍽️
This bit could make a decent comedy skit all by itself. Just stick Hyacinth Bucket in another chair and let them out-smarm each other. They'd continue bragging about themselves until Hyacinth inadvertently admits she blew the Major in the greenhouse. Thus upping Penelope's story about getting shagged in Harrod's while Being Served by yet another Major.
The phrase national treasure is overused but in her case it’s true.
How is Penelope Keith the opposite of an upper middle class lady?!?
I love the class comments. Middle class makes me laugh. The definition of middle class is Working class with an inferiority complex. There is no middle class. Penelope was great.
Oh dear, what nonsense, you couldn't be more wrong. Btw, that chip on your shoulder is screaming.🤦
Can't stand Ms Keith but I do love Sandra. :)
