Thanks so much for posting this series. I saw it on PBS during the early 1980's and absolutely loved it, but it was never available on video and ever since I first saw it I've been waiting for the day when I could see it again. Thanks to you, that day has finally arrived!!!! Much much MUCH appreciated!!!!!
Nice! Penelope Keith has been a favorite Actor, along with Richard Briers, Paul Eddington, Felicity Kendall an about a dozen others. First time I've seen this. Didn't come downunda!
Greg, thank you. Penelope is someone I see on my lunch break almost daily. She appreciates greatly when I tell her of a new generation appreciating her tits and wit. Some days I think it keeps her going along with the sherry. Thank you again.
Keith, as usual, is a delight! And the actor playing Peter is not only handsome and charming, but damned good in the role which could be unsympathetic and cliched if he weren't as good as he is.
...and the actress playing Helen is not only beautiful and charming, but damned good in the role which could be unsympathetic and cliched if she weren't as good as she is -:)
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I've been looking for this series for decades. I saw the final episode on PBS back in the 1980s and recorded it, and that's all I'd ever seen of it. I was never able to find it before this. I am so very grateful.
WOW! Another Penelope Keith series that I've not seen before.
Love Penelope Keith and everything she's in.
Loved seeing this again after so many decades. When it aired in Australia in 84 I had a massive crush on Christopher Villiers !
I’ve never seen this before, so just started to watch it - great - love it 🥰

I remember watching this 1st time round on Sunday evenings on BBC1 - Ronnie Hazlehurst's arrangement of Sometimes When We Touch is absolutely lush.

Enjoyed this no budget retro British series ;D

This was very advanced for the time. Penelope Keith is one of the very few that could pull it off.
Great series! Too bad it ended when it did.
That jaguar is lovely
Imo so much nicer looking than the saloon model, very rare car.
I remember this from the 80s. I thought Christopher Villiers was gorgeous.
I remember the man playing "Tony" from an episode of "Fawlty Towers" or as it was called here "Halløj på badehotellet".
I like to see her she is so funny,,Susie denmark
Barry from Last of the Summer Wine.
the car he drives is a ford escort XR which they stopped making after this model.
I loved this but he looked so old to me at the time. He looks like a baby rosebud to me now.
Its unbelievable how perceptions change
I recognize the young man as the actor from the film Top Secret.
@theobreitenbach91 Welcome!
I've never heard of this.
Never seen this sures , , it not bad ,
Those glasses 😂
OMG...what prices!!!
Hello Barry
Don’t know about the reading glasses.
Gosh! The actors speak awfully upper class, don't they, old chap?
