Always fun to see what's available in other parts of the country. I know what you mean when you're not "hunting," but find good stuff and can't resist!
Those redwood empire cask strengths are all really good as well
Should’ve snagged that peerless double oaked rye!!
I recently tried the Blade and Bow and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Has fruity citrus notes and an easy finish. All around just a relaxing experience.
Coppercraft is a Michigan Based distillery
Good pickups. I picked up a Henry McKenna 10 Year BIB for $59.99 tonight at Binny’s in Rockford, IL. I got the last one. I found an 8 year Wilderness Trail Bourbon this week in KY. Love the hunting videos. I have been resisting Doc Swinson, but picked up a Single Barrel store pick and it is fantastic. 🥃
Doc Swinson's is a hitter brand!
Thanks for the tips on new stores to check out. Great video as always 👍
Thanks for watching!
Copper craft is part of New Holland brewing, distilling
Completely blew the budget today for the next 3 months at least... JD bonded rye, Ardbeg Bizzarbq, shenks, bombergers, russells 13, and hardins creek frankfort. and now im broke... 😅
That's a solid haul!
Wow, Bookers on the shelf in all three stores! I’ll be visiting family in the Twin Cities Labor Day weekend and will have to try and stop at ones of these stores when I am there. Great video! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Definitely stop at Marshall liquors for sure. I hear 1010 Washington in Mpls is great too. I haven't been there yet.
That second store was great. I’ve yet to find an ECBP private barrel in these parts. I hear some are better than the regular releases. Nice haul. Just cracked my Conviction tonight and I’m pretty happy with it for a $50 bottle. Cheers Ben and Greg!
Cheers!
Nice that Cooper craft is very good for 30 dollars. I have back ups of it. I wish I could get a knob Creek 120 they just aren't around my area. Enjoy!!
I’m confused because I live in Indiana and outside of the Indy 500, I can’t think of a reason for this state to be a vacation destination. 😂
Nice haul. I was stunned to see 1910 at our Sam’s Club yesterday for $47. That was good enough reason for me to grab a backup.
Ha! They were dropping their oldest daughter off at college. They'll be making a lot of trips down there, so I'll have a constant source of Early Times and Coopers craft!
Thanks, will check out Marshall lick when I get down there!
It's a great store!
Between Bookers vs the Knob Creek store pick...I'd get the Knob Creek. I'd been looking at the Kentucky Spirit for a while, ended up doing a Turkey/Russell's flight while in Grand Rapids. I was impressed with it and think it is worth picking up. I ended up scoring a Russell's private barrel so I still haven't gotten one yet. Just too many bottles I want and it's only going to get worse heading into September.
Yeah, it's time to start padding the bourbon budget for fall releases!
A month ago, I stopped at a hole in the wall liquor store in a working class part of St Paul and found a bunch of Evan Williams single barrel 2010! Probably have been sitting since then. I bought one and enjoyed it a lot. Great bourbon experience for $30. Blaize Liquor 137 Maryland Ave W Saint Paul, MN
I'll check that out! I'm a fan of Evan Williams sb.
Was going to hunt today, and the first store I visited had Blanton's SiB Original for $65. With a backup Larceny BP at $59 also my hunt budget was done before I barely got started. Good day, though.
I'd grab both at those prices!
Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
What distilleries/stores have you found that ship to MN? EVERYTIME I try they say not available in your state. Thanks for the good content and some more stores to try!
seelbachs.com/ delivers to MN. Storytime distillery does as well.
Thank you so much!@@TheBourbonNote Let us know when a meetup is happening!
Widow Jane for $65 is a good price. Anywhere from 70-80 in GA
That's actually a good price for us too. It's usually 70 minimum around here. Cheers!
Coppercraft is MGP. Love this style of video
Thanks!
Going to Minneapolis at the end of September any suggestions on places to hunt ?
Marshall liquor in St. Paul for sure! It's close to Minneapolis. I hear 1010 Washington in Minneapolis is great as well.
Dude........ Grab the very next Old Elk Cigar Cut you see. It's amazing.
I'll try to talk Greg into buying it 🤣
I avoid Haskells. Terrible customer service experience there the last time I went. I’ll make the drive to a total wine before I go to Haskells otherwise cash wise is my go to. Their selection is good and they always seem to have good sales whenever I go. Otherwise I like checking out local places. I’ll pay a little more for a good atmosphere.
Bummer you had a bad experience at Haskells! I've always had good luck with them. Cash wise is always a solid choice. The one in St Michael is my regular store. Their sales are great! If you ever get a chance, check out Spiritz Liquor in Melrose. We did a video on that store. It's by far my favorite. Cheers!
What was the price on that double rye peerless. Heard great things
I believe a bit over 100.
Old elk cigar is solid if you like malt
The reason I haven't picked one up is specifically because I've heard it's malty. I don't mind malt, but I'm not into it enough to spend that much. Glad to hear your feedback! Makes me think I'm making the right decision. Cheers!
I've only spotted that Larceny BP for $69 plus tax. Just can't do it.
If you see it for 60 or under, it's a solid buy.
The word has gotten out that the latest Booker's 2023-02 Apprentice Batch is not very good. That's why you are seeing so much of it around. Same thing here in the NorthEast. It's a bad batch and not as many are buying.
Glad I passed on it!
Bookers is a no go for me I always reach for Bakers 7👍🏻🥃
Yep me too
That's probably the way to go!
@@TheBourbonNote never been disappointed by Bakers 7 other than the first open of my bottles usually drink hot 🥃but then let it open up for couple weeks it's so freaking good
@@jeremydibiase8030 🥃👍🏻so freaking good do you usually have the first pour from Bakers be a tad hot ?? I have but then let it sit for a couple weeks and it's so good 🥃
@@Jared40 no mine is pretty mild even the first pour. But I like 100 to 140 proof bourbon normally
