I am so pleased with these pencils. I was watching the people reviewing the pencils on UA-cam even after I bought them. Then I was wondering if they were any good, but now that I'm using them, like them very much. The coloring books are printed on the most wonderful paper also. I drew my own pictures and also colored in a couple books. I got Castle Art's flowers coloring book (from Amazon) and started it last night. I couldn't stop coloring.The paper is luscious! The colors are beautiful. Using the premier set. (not gold) I like the organized way pencils came in a large pencil case also.
I’m really tempted by the pastel set but there’s so many round and some are made in the same factory so are basically the same. Prices cruise but I really can’t decide 😂 I like how soft my prismacolor are so want pastels that are on the softer side without spending a fortune! I do have some polychromos too though and they’re lovely too.
You can't compare the pencils by how many reviews! The Castle Arts Soft Touch have been available for years! The 72 count since April 2017! The Castle Art Gold are much Newer, both the 72 and 120 released at same time June 2021! 4 Years After the Castle Art Soft Touch, so yes more people have the original Castle Art Pencils.

Are the pencils the same colors or does the gold have different. colors?
