Personally, I like that there are subtle differences between the two sets; that just means I have that many more colors instead of 2 sets of the same colors.
I don’t mind differences between sets because I agree 100% it’s nice to have differences but I think if they name and number them the same, they should be the same. But I’m not upset over it. Just a preference. 💕
@@jazzydoodledesigns I got the Derwent Limited Edition “sampler box” and while they did pretty good at making it a variety of colors, I have 4 Chocolate pencils that all look slightly different, so I suspect it’s due to the difference in types of filler from pencil to pencil. My complaint with Castle Arts is how hit or miss the barrel swatch is with matching the cores. Some of them are spot on while others are so way off it’s annoying. 😂
Your reviews are the most helpful I’ve found. This helps me put more thought into products before I hit the get in my cart button. And some day I’m going to produce an oil masterpiece in four steps with colored pencils😂😂
Thank you. It’s hard because I don’t want to talk badly about any pencil and what I like compared to someone else could be different. Lol. Hey it could happen!

Yes I hate that too! I swatch everything for this reason.
@jazzydoodledesigns i wonder if they are using the same pigment recipe but the difference is from the binder/medium (wax vs oil)
The colors are different because the Gold are oil based and the Soft are wax based so the cores are going to be a little bit different.
