When I was young, I was able to look at the University of Illinois's insect collection. The collection was so big and expansive. Hard to believe that they all could fit on one planet. Not sure how it ranked compared to other collections, but if you ever get a chance to see it, I wouldn't turn it down.

Nice. I’ll have to check it out some day. I’ve been to the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera Research in theme University of Florida. It’s wild how big it is

First! What type of paper do you use for the labels? I use typical paper weighing 80 g but its too soft and it bends towards the needle.

I like to label the describer of the species. For instance the Monarch (Linnaeus, 1758)

I will have to get one of those labeling blocks, my labels are always not symmetrical. Also for some reason I want all my labels to be straight.

Label everything immediately. You will NOT remember what you collected and where. You might have a new record but if you don’t label your specimens you will not know.
