I stopped coloring my hair when COVID hit. I’m now 60 and my hair is silver/gray. I get compliments on the daily. This decision was liberating and kind to my bank account.
There is nothing bad about being a granny either! Will we ever realize that older and wiser is often better?
I just wanted to say that If you have suicidal thoughts, mental trauma, PTSD or anything Just know. You have a purpose you are beautiful, kind, just be yourself and go after what you want to do. You are amazing, you got this, and things will get better in your life, you will do great things, and so many people like your family and I are proud of you and love you dearly. Your future is bigger than your past and your past does not define you are awesome and a warrior. Don’t hate yourself simply because of your past, forgive yourself, love yourself no matter what because you deserve the world and the great things in it. Things we’ll get better in your life. You are the light of the world. Stay safe. 💪🏽❤️. Have a beautiful day
I'm 58 and have about 20 % white/grey hair. The white hair is mostly in the front, as hair color doesn't seem to want to cover those white hairs very well. That said though, those white streaks in the front of my blonde hair give me a 'rock star' badass look!
If I ever let my hair go gray, I am not going to ask any one's opinion. My sister who is 3 years younger than me said if someone "asks" her opinion, she always tells them to expect to look 10 years older. I told her I would not be asking her opinion...LOL.
Gray hair is LIBERATING .....
It's being graceful ....it proves you've lived well, grown and become wiser
Women that have naturally dark and thicker hair seem to 'gray' in a different way than women with lighter and thinner hair. I think thats why having a hairdresser with experience can be so helpful. A great cut is always a benefit, and sometimes 'low lights' in finer hair is helpful in keeping dimension and some volume to your hair (in my opinion).
Aging is a phenomenal thing! it reminds us about life well lived and wisdom ! ❤
when i saw some grays on my head , I was so happy ❤😂❤😂
I had my hair colored my usual red for the last time in Dec 2019 and 5 minutes later, decided to grow out my natural color, whatever it was. After I grew out my hair for about 1 month, My stylist did a half day process to remove all the red and blend my overall hair color with the roots. She did a phenomenal job. She toned it 2 more times as it grew. Today my hair is natural, long, and in beautiful condition, and I love the natural brown and silver blend. I didn’t have very much gray and honestly, I was a little disappointed, but I’ve embraced it. I get lots of complements. Do it!
Canadian news anchor Lisa LaFlamme stopped dyeing her hair and let it go silver over the pandemic, which triggered her sudden firing and the subsequent public backlash. She is stunning with her silver hair, though.
I'm 51 and my dark hair is gradually going pepper-and-salt.
Went full on gray about 8 years ago. You need to be aware that you need to step up the makeup or you can look washed out. Also will need to change what colors you are wearing, especially on top.
😊😊
There is no such thing as looking your age with Gray hair.I starter having grey hair at the age of eleven years old
They have purple hair
Am I the only one that had a hard time following the accent in this piece? And is this even news worthy?
I found it easy to understand the professional hairstylist/colorist, but I was raised with diverse cultures and accents. As to your second question, this is a human interest piece. Of course, the color of one's hair is not major news, but going grey is a common transition later in life that affects almost everyone. Some people are comfortable going grey, some are not, and some have mixed feelings. This clip is about how women can create a more attractive grey style.
"NOT" everybody looks good in GRAY!🤔
MThey show ' Models' ! Not the working
My 68 year old sister lives in L.A. and still colors her hair and keeps it longer…..and looks GREAT!! She went to her high school reunion in Illinois and saw women her age who had chopped off their hair, gained weight, and had silver hair, and looked old, Old, OLD!!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Eddie, this may be difficult for you to hear but this topic is about and for women, therefore your opinion is not required. Thank you.
@@tingting35agreed❤❤❤❤
@@tingting35 ……It was SHE who told me about HER high school reunion, and how SHE likes to take care of HERSELF, and let herself go like the women in Illinois. (It’s ALWAYS best to stay in L.A. 🤷🏼♂️😎).
We are reading second hand knowledge from someone who it sounds is anti gray, which only matters to her and not anyone else.
@@tammiep9628 ……L.A. is DEFINITELY not representative of the U.S.’s Flyover states (where most people seem to accept getting “old”), I’m talking about L.A., New York, and perhaps Miami.😎👌
