At least you tried. In the real world (not the Wasteland), folks would usually have stuff to hand (sprue, etc.) and things ready to go (drill bit fitted, etc.) and they wouldn't put themselves under a timer. What you did show was that kitbashing a vehicle doesn't take as long as many people think it does and that trial and error is all part of the process (and fun) of a build. Well done on having the nads to attempt it, not cheat and show the true video.
Thank you man :-) When I work on a build without a timer, I can spend as long as I like, days or weeks even, between making changes and additions to a project. I might drill out the rivets one morning, and then wait until a certain part or set of wheels is available before I continue. What I wanted to do, more than anything, was say that 15 minutes can do Something, even if it's not literally an entire finished and painted build ready to go on a table top ;-)
This is a great video for just de-bunking that a car has to take a long time to build. Thanks for the time and effort you put into them. I get different ideas from each one.
I currently live in a place where every year there is a few off-road racing events for 250, 500 & 1000Miles, I actually went on some of the events as a Paramedic/EMT on support vehicles, so maybe I'll build like a Wasteland Ambulance type of vehicle that would be kind of cool to add to my team, and I'm pretty sure the small gaming community around here is going to absolutely love this game, greetings from BAJA Mexico! great exercise for working under pressure, it can be applied to so many things. GJ!
Wow. Speed building. I couldn't ever think of doing a build in that short of time. I've been working on a Corvette, same model as you and the project has been ongoing for 5+ months.
I sincerely hope you finish this build, the base, bits and stance you got for it are great. Anyway, a speed build could simply be something were you don't put as much time in compared to others. Unless speed building combat cars becomes a thing, you can give ourself a bit more time, ahah! Another great vid, James.
8:17 "decide which side of the car the driver will go on the 'correct' side or the 'wrong' side, 8:27...... finds pre-molded seat on the ACTUAL 'correct' side of car... Places driver on the "Non-UK CORRECT side of the car. 8:35.... viewers still laughing. GREAT Build once again!
JH Miniatures Have you ever thought of just doing a semi simple build and just timing it start to finish to try to get some people into it. Say something like take a standard matchbox or hot wheels and then use the old dollar store / pound shop army men kit to modify the car.... Say in 45 minutes with minimal tools. A beginners guide if you will?
I really enjoy your videos. I’m just getting into miniatures and doing my first custom cars. Just wondering if you could recommend where to get the basics for car materials like mesh, armour, and the little add ons for the car builds. I have been using stuff that usually goes in the recycling bin, but I was hoping you could give some insight into materials. Thanks.
Wait a minute, kind sir, the Germans made the first automobiles and if memory serves, they drive on the right side of the road, thus left hand drive cars are the correct placement of the driver!
Bruh, i understand, Russian language are difficult, but 5:07 is not zveDza, its zveZda, russian miniatures company, if I'm wrong, please correct me, because i can be wrong about pronounsiation, and i bloody cant write the произносить in english
You can build so cool things -but this is sooo stupid, why destroy a model because it has to go to fast ?? Its fun to build something -. so why ruin the plesure with som stupid speed building and ending up with some shitty model ??

@@jhminiatures7867 I think that 15 minutes with the pre-drilled rivets would have put you in a good position.

This is literally my favorite youtube channel.
I like how he "yells" in the intro, while not really yelling at all.

I've got to try it again at some point 😂 Just to show it can be done 😁
Wait a minute, kind sir, the Germans made the first automobiles and if memory serves, they drive on the right side of the road, thus left hand drive cars are the correct placement of the driver!
Thank you for the info! I'll be sure when I make an all German gaslands team to place all the drivers on the Right hand side ;-)

No worries my friend 😂
Funny how the seat was molded on the correct side, which you called the wrong side. You crazy islanders, lol.
;-p
☺️☺️☺️
444 was my father in laws "hatchet team" number in vietnam, 5th special forces group.
" the correct side, or the wrong side-" And formula 1 cars are just like " you're both wrong"
5:07
Never heard anyone butcher "Zvezda" like that before🌚
Can't say it's a common word in English 😛
I believe, without the timer you would have build this in about 5 minutes :)
Thanks man 😂
i know the space marine ^^ friend of mine from belgium
Nice try. Prob done it without playing with the camera. Love the vids
But cat shedding cat fur adds texture for dry brushing.... At least that's what The Dread Cat Bonkers tries to tell me.
I'm sure you could have done it in 20 minutes!
Haha maybe ;-) But I should remember to prep first when I do :D
terrible, El Toro Poo Pooo, they are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
correct side... *cough*

Using pre-made weapons is cheating, but sure...
Ignoring the fact I failed the speed build 😛
