I was going to buy my first Switch for the last one, but it didn't have that classic mp at all... I'm glad to see it's a thing, AGAIN!
BOMBERMAN 2 NES was my favorite one! My friend and I used to load up emulators in high school and play it the entire class! I would handle the IP setup of all of the computers for mp. Then other times, I load Doom onto 30 computers and have a huge class battle! Good times

Super Bomberman 2 for the SNES was always in our family rotation. It's such a great game.
I love the creation of the bomberman 1 and 2. After that look really bad.

Why specifically 2 on the SNES?
My favourite Bomberman game is called Bomberman 64 (Bonbāman Rokujūyon) Released in 2001 it was the final game released for the Nintendo 64 in Japan.
It is often confused with the 1997 game Bomberman 64, which was released in Japan as Baku Bomberman.
It is based more on the SNES Bomberman titles, and is fully 2D without any 3D graphics.
If you haven't played it then i highly recommend it 🙂
Just reading through the comments I don't think anyone mentioned it or know about it so I highly recommended to try it ♥️ Unlike the Bomberman 64 game for the N64 which is in 3D this one is in 2D, so if you're like me & you like your Bomberman games in 2D it's a must try.

My favorite bomberman is Bomberman64 for the N64, the music and the adventure mode was so fun, so many secrets to discover, and the most multiplayer fun was the SuperBomberman 3-6 in the SNES, was total madness playing with friends.
Bomberman Blast on the Wii holds a special place in my heart. Up until that point I never had anyone to play multiplayer Bomberman with, and as my first online entry in the series I got absolutely hooked. So much fun, and the graphics and music were so whimsical that I'll never forget them.
Goated, you can actually move the cart faster & throw further, also more maps & modes. Did this game receive that? Crazy how the 10 year old wii was better than the 1st for the switch
Super Bombermen R is currently my favorite because it introduced me to these series and I've had a blast playing with my family. I'm hoping NSO will add some of the older titles so I can play those, too! Or at least for a Bomberman collection to release.
I got Saturn Bomberman a few years back, and recently i got some multi tap adapters and enough controllers to set up 10 player mode on it.
Got some people on a local meet up to play it on a big screen, it was one of the most fun experiences i've ever had playing local multiplayer.
My favorite Bomberman is Super Bomberman 2, for the SNES. My friend had it. I would go over his house to play. Lost to him most times, but fun times, none the less.
Nothing nostalgic than bomberman for NES, always bringing back memories.
Super Bomber Man 3 on SNES is the bomb. There's something about the colours and the music and the difficulty and the addition of the Louies makes for an excellent time. I always have a massive grin on my face playing this one.

Pretty big Bomberman fan here with a pretty sizable physical collection at this point. Saturn Bomberman is very much the gold standard in my eyes, although I have a soft spot for Super Bomberman 3 and Bomberman Live 🙌

My favourite Bomberman was Super Bomberman 2 on the SNES. We had a multi-tap and this was always an amazing four player favourite. Battle mode is so simple but so addictive and the power ups and revenge mode added to the chaos and fun. Also had Bomberman 64, Generation and Blast. Every game was a Blast 😉💣 💥
there is absolutely no doubt that Saturn Bomberman is by far the best Bomberman ever made. 10-P Mode, League Mode, a fantastic single-player campaign mode, rogue-like endless mode etc. I am only missing some of the Levels from the SNES/Mega Drive game/s but it still comes in far ahead of any other Bomberman game ever made.

Strange that I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but Bomberman Generation (GCN) was essentially my introduction to the series. Many hours of multiplayer mayhem!

Bomberman tournament for GBA was awesome. I enjoy it a ton. The combination with rpg elements was really well done.

Super Bomberman 2, had sooo much fun with the 4v4 multiplayer battles I had with friends during grade school. Story mode with the Dastardly Bombers was awesome. Definitely getting my physical copy of Super Bomberman R2 soon.
I loved bomberman64. I have very fond memories renting it multiple times as a kid. Was a great party game, and a ton of fun!
Bomberman Generations is my favorite. I don't think I ever actually played the story mode in that game as my older sister and I were too focused on blowing each other up back in the day to give it a try. I might have to track down our old Gamecube out to change that.
I loved playing 2 player atomic bomberman on pc as a teenager. It was the bomb! Once bomberland on Wii arrived I’ve never found another bomberman game I’ve loved more. As a teacher I always bring in the Wii in the last few weeks of school for some 8 player fun
Never played one of these games, but it seems like good fun to play with others. I'm sure that my son would rage quit after I've beaten him.
Bomberman Party edition on the PS1 was amazing with friends. Different characters had their own special abilities and you could ride these cute animals to move faster and jump.
BOMBERMAN 64 is a EASY best choice. Bloody brilliant way to bring it into the 3rd dimension with the focus of depth and height with both the bombs and the environment. From bomb bouncing and 360 AoE explosions to its multi level environments. Also the multiplayer was endlessly enjoyable and I hope it comes to NSO.
Grew up playing Bomberman with my older brother and his friends and it's still one of my favorite memories of that time.

Bomberman Tournament is my favorite one from GBA era. The power ups fishing thing and starting the next game with a kick power up is the best thing ever. Tho a bit unfair for others but it's fun.
I barely played Bomberman series, but I have a soft spot for Bomberman Land 2. I actually had fun playing with my mom way back then until she's basically not interested in playing anymore nowadays, but that moment was a bliss.
For me it was Bomber-man on my then gf’s Amiga. Two player using one keyboard- on a 12” colour CRT TV - utter chaos but hundreds of hours of fun!
Nostalgia may just tempt me to try this. (I was scarred for life by Bomberman Zero on 360.)

I never played a 'real' Bomberman game, but a flash game inspired by it (?) called Playing with Fire 2. Loved to play it with my best friend when we were children. Great to hear this one is good, now I definitely have to get this to play with her!:D
I remember playing this loads on the Wii Virtual Console. Bomberman 94 I believe. Loads of fun.

My favorite is actually Wario Blast on Gameboy, there was a cool looking robot man in it. Turns out it was Bomberman and ive been a fan of the franchise ever since!
Mega Bomberman for me... firing up the multiplayer with the 4 controller tap and using all the different Louies, or grinding through the single player. My brother wrote me a guide for which levels had the remote bombs, power bombs, Louies so you could strategise best... and the music was insane!!

My fav Bomberman was Bomberman gameboy. Got it with the ice blue gameboy pocket. Got it as a bribe to join the baseball team in school lol. Loved the game and that game boy.
Oh my god. This just triggered a core memory for me.
When I was a kid, we were poor as fuck so I dont have any classic consoles. What we have is those arcade machines where you put in a coin that will give you one playthrough until you die or continue with another coin. I used to saved up all my coins and play on an arcade machine with Bomberman. I don't recall the version but it was that one with a giant mechanical spider boss. If you stop the game it gives you a code for that level so that continue later on by inputting that. That was 20 years ago.
Super Bomberman for the SNES was my favorite. I had the four player adapter for the SNES just to be able to play this with friends.
Super Bomberman 2 for the SNES. I remember being on a foreign exchange back in Secondary school. No one could communicate effectively but we bonded over Bomberman. Everyone could play and laugh together without worrying about the language barrier.
Bomberman '93 on Turbografx 16 and Mega Bomberman on the Sega Genesis. Great multiplayer memories with those.

The Bomberman game that leaps to my mind as my favorite is probably the Japan-exclusive Bomberman Jetters GBA game, which was basically a Bomberman Zelda-like.
the level editor being gated to castle mode is a real mood killer
I'm torn between two Bomberman games as my favorite. Despite it being old, but the very first Bomberman game for Gameboy is one of my favorites. I remember playing that for hours a day, trying to beat the game. It was so much fun. My second favorite (or tied for first) is Bomberman 64, because of the open world gameplay and unique costume pieces you can find and unlock. Miss them both.
Mega Bomber man was my favourite. Spent ages in single player always returning to world two to grab the remote bomb power up only to loose it on a boss fight
Saturn Bomberman will always have a special place in my heart. One of the greatest couch multiplayer games of all time. Would love to see a remaster of that one.

The first bomberman that came out on XBox 360 arcade (that I remember anyway). That 8 player online was too fun and playing locally with family and friends while unlocking styles made for great times.

I can play this for hours with my daughter and we are never bored. Also the online version was savage, she was only 8 years old and slayed everybody online, just like her mom 😂🙏

Super Bomberman will forever be my favorite in the series - my Mom would play this one with my sisters and I and she had a blast with it. Some of my best/funniest memories of her come from playing that game! 😂

I've only played a handful of Bomberman games, but from what I have played, I'd say Bomberman 64 was my favorite. Enjoyed the story it had + hunting down the outfit pieces.
Bomberman WiiWare had the best mode ever and they've never put it in another game
Countdown was phenomenal and so strategic as it's the only game mode where bombing yourself could he a valid tactic

Bomberman 64 is, hands down, my favorite Bomberman title. I know it wasn't received well by those who prefer the classic 2d style, but as the first foray into 3d, it did a phenomenal job. The campaign, with its six levels packed full of secrets, really tested skills beyond just placing bombs. The multiplayer, though non-traditional, was always a blast with mates, especially with the ghosts.
Oo fancy castle mode. Looks a bit Rampart-ish? Bomberman 93/4. Though an active gamer when TG 16 was out here in the states. Didnt get to play until the TG16 mini a few years back. Glad the series came back on switch

Bomber man 94 I think it was called, on the turbo graphics 16. Multi player was great with the 4 player adapter.
Super Bomberman 3 and Mega BomberMan always will be my favorite games on the series.
Bomberman DS helped me pass hours & hours on the train for years going to and coming back from college. The use of the two screens on the DS was actually one the better implementations of the two screen tech at the time.

Bomberman Fantasy Race! It was the closest thing to Chocobo Racing from FF7. Really odd game, but so much fun!
