I never get tired of watching reaction videos for the songs of Dimash. Very good reaction.... someone else might have told you this already, but that is his father in the audience that it shows a few times in the audience. Dimash didn't know he was there. He was surprised by him coming to the competition in China. If you continue to watch this video, you'll see his father meet him off stage and hug him. Dimash asks him "Did I sing well?" Also, he apologizes to his father for being so "cheeky" in his performance. How adorable is that?

Thanks for your reaction, it was really fun to watch. You might want to check out SOS (also on The Singer) next. This was his 2nd performance for the 13 episode contest. For the 1st, SOS, he was an unknown. They had him go first, and asked the crowd to give him a warm welcome, which they did. He was only 22, the youngest performer ever on the show, and much younger than his competition. He blew them away and took 1st place for that performance. There were millions of views overnight, and he literally woke up the next morning a pop star in China. This was the second week..... during the 3rd week he released his first album in China, and it hit platinum in 37 seconds. His thing is breaking boundaries between genres, and he does it all. Massive training, studying voice from age 5, born into a performing family (mom sings opera, dad sings pop) and was first onstage at 10 months. His skill at managing dynamics, and at creating tension in the audience is legendary... not only is he a fabulous singer, but a performer to the bone. Welcome - it's a wild ride! You've only heard a fraction of his skill. Other recommendations include Sinful Passion, Adagio, Love is Like a Dream, Olympico. But there isn't a bad one out there, so just have fun.

Although I have worked with a number of musical therapists, this is the first time I've heard a voice professional on-line so clearly articulate the connection between sound and bio/physiological / neurological responses. Heavy metal artists deliberately go for this physiological shock. Dimash also goes for shock value with his sudden leaps into the highest registers but he balances this exquisitely with dynamic shifts, easing his listeners back down to soft and even tender passages. His audiences quickly learn that he is in total control of this roller coaster ride. They know that he usually starts slow and builds to several crescendo's before heading for a spectacular climax and then taking them softly back down to a safe landing. They brace themselves for the exhilarating 'ride' knowing they are in safe hands. As a trauma consultant I conduct a lot of psycho-educational sessions and teach my clients about autonomic responses in the 'Triple F' Zone [ Fight Flight & Freeze ]. I explain how trauma can throw up a neurochemical 'firewall' between the emotional processing and cognitive processing part of the brain and how to manage the impacts of these. This is a competition - of course he’s showing off. All the other competitors are Chinese well established professional singers. Dimash is Kazakh and was in China alone in a strange country with a different language. Dimash was immediately accepted as he is humble, respectful even with his unique talent.

He seems very confident on stage, but in reality he is a very humble guy. After the performance he asked his father many times if he did okay. This was just vocal exercise for him. He was asked to perform this song to demonstrate his range in a contest. Please react to SOS from the same contest (the Singer) and you will see a completely different side of him.That performance of SOS is the one that made him internationally famous over night.
This is just a tiny example of what he can do. You must react to more. This was in 2017 when he was 23 and he’s even better now. I suggest SOS next time from the same Singer competition in China. It was his first performance and turned him into an overnight star there. You have so much catching up to do but it’s worth the wait! ♥️😍🇬🇧
❤❤❤❤ This waste first performance of Dimash`s that I saw 4 years ago. I thought he was really cocky and a show off but his voice captivated me so I watched more of him. Thank heavens I did! I came to learn that he was playing a part in this performance, his interpretation of how it should be portrayed. Dimash is the farthest thing from cocky that there is. yes isnt it very strange you never heard of him even hes been on utube 4 years? he really is the best singer/performer on the planet and the most humble guy you will ever find in the music business. you just started your Dimash journey just wait hell stunn you every time you hear him. he can sing in 12 different languages and play 4 instruments and hes highest note isnt even on your instrument (D8)
Dimash is fearless, yet humble. Confident but not cocky and egotistical. When he sings he unleashes his spirit within the music and lets it soar unafraid. He would not be on that stage if he did not believe he had achieved a high level of worthiness to be on it. He keeps working to improve. He knows his limitations and his gifts. This is what he has to offer the world and he will not waste it. He is grateful. He doesn’t care about octaves ....he cares about the music quality and possibilities of his vocals and where it can go. He’s got his ship and now he’s set sail in exploration. And we get to come along for the ride. There are jealous haters and people who don’t have a clue about life. But for the most part.....most people are amazed as they come to realize they’ve been captivated like never before.

The true power of Dimash's voice will only give you real sense when you hear three performances from him. I advise you to start with the one where he gives the highest note he is capable of ... a note that is not on the piano, a D8. The song is Unforgettable Day, at the Gakku show. After that you can choose which of the other two to listen to first ... Sinful Passion or Love is Like a Drem. Both are killers.

If you are doing some more, I would go SOS, on Singer or Slavic bazaar, Sinful Passion at Sochi, Love Is Like A Dream, and Olympico/Ogni Pietra. Just my personal likes though. Here are a couple of others too: If by some wild chance you haven't seen Marcelito Pomoy's cover of, The Prayer, on Wish. I would recommend that. Disturbed's now classic cover of, The Sound of Silence. Video or Live on Conan O'Brien. A wonderful unexpected performance. 800 million views and counting. This is just a tiny example of what he can do. You must react to more. This was in 2017 when he was 23 and he’s even better now. I suggest SOS next time from the same Singer competition in China. ❤❤❤❤ This waste first performance of Dimash`s that I saw 4 years ago. I thought he was really cocky and a show off but his voice captivated me so I watched more of him. Thank heavens I did! I came to learn that he was playing a part in this performance, his interpretation of how it should be portrayed. Dimash is the farthest thing from cocky that there is. He is the most humble vocalist I have come across as well as the most hard working.

yes isnt it very strange you never heard of him even hes been on utube 4 years? he really is the best singer/performer on the planet and the most humble guy you will ever find in the music business. you just started your Dimash journey just wait hell stunn you every time you hear him. he can sing in 12 different languages and play 4 instruments and hes highest note isnt even on your instrument (D8)
Dimash is fearless, yet humble. Confident but not cocky and egotistical. When he sings he unleashes his spirit within the music and lets it soar unafraid.
He would not be on that stage if he did not believe he had achieved a high level of worthiness to be on it. He keeps working to improve. He knows his limitations and his gifts. This is what he has to offer the world and he will not waste it. He is grateful. He doesn’t care about octaves ....he cares about the music quality and possibilities of his vocals and where it can go. He’s got his ship and now he’s set sail in exploration. And we get to come along for the ride.
There are jealous haters and people who don’t have a clue about life. But for the most part.....most people are
amazed as they come to realize they’ve been captivated like never before.

I advise you to start with the one where he gives the highest note he is capable of ... a note that is not on the piano, a D8. The song is Unforgettable Day, at the Gakku show. After that you can choose which of the other two to listen to first ... Sinful Passion or Love is Like a Drem. Both are killers.

Great reaction to Dimash. There are typically two normal reactions to him, WTF and More. If you are doing some more, I would go SOS, on Singer or Slavic bazaar, Sinful Passion at Sochi, Love Is Like A Dream, and Olympico/Ogni Pietra. Just my personal likes though.
