Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen (Kazakh: Дінмұхаммед Қанатұлы Құдайберген, Dinmuhammed Qanatuly Qudaıbergen; born 24 May 1994), known professionally as Dimash Kudaibergen, is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is university trained in classical as well as contemporary music, and is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range.[1][2][3][4][5] He has performed songs in twelve different languages.[6]
Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music.[7]
He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus.[8] He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017 (Chinese: 歌手2017)[9] finishing second overall.

At the premier of the film in Italy, Director, Writer, Composer, Piergiuseppe Zaia shut the audience in the theatre, and stood at the front to tell them that they must sit and listen to the incredible boy Dimash singing this at the end credits. Piergiuseppe is so enamoured of Dimash that he has promised to make a concert for him in Italy after the pandemic settles and its safe, he wants to work with Dimash again. But we will see, Dimash has his solo world Concert Tour to continue and has promised a concert in South America too. He will also be going to the US to live for a while to promote his music there. He will dominate the world with his voice soon enough. Can't wait for it to happen for him. 💖💖💖

I always enjoy your reactions to Dimash so much, Cedric. Your insight is very interesting and the way you describe what he's doing makes one go back and look and listen again. I've come to the conclusion that Dimash takes mere words and turns it into something sublime. I totally get what you mean about his face. He's constantly animated. Even when he's being still, his eyes are not. A mere eyebrow twitch, a tilt of the head...all these things rivet one's eyes, constantly waiting for the next thing he's going to delight us with.

В этот раз стрим продолжался 3, 5 часа и конечный результат объявили тогда, когда большинство Диарс ушли сразу после 3х часов голосования и количество реквестов упало критически. Я боялась, что и второе место потеряем. Дорогие Диарсы, если трудно голосовать 3 часа подряд на MTV US Friday livestream , то хотя бы по часу можно голосовать, чтобы продвинуть нашего любимца поближе к его мечте - Грэмми. Сколько людей со всего мира голосует на MTV US? От 3 до пяти тысяч в обычные дни, 10 тысяч в Новый год. Сколько Диарс среди них? Всего лишь 1-2 тысячи ? А представьте себе, что 1,3 миллиона подписчиков с канала Димаша проголосуют хотя бы один раз! Especially if you're interested in studying his embouchure on this piece, you can observe it in extreme close-up throughout. (As is characteristic of Dimash, he prefers recording vocal tracks in a dark studio.) In this case, the decision to make an actual music video happened after the film's theatrical release and the release of the soundtrack, so the filmmaker used this video of the studio recording during the closing credits. The video at this link was recorded on the cell phone of an audience member at the film's debut in Italy, who later edited in some visual effects. This is the song and video that propelled Dimash to #1 in requests on the MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream for six weeks in a row. Sadly Dimash fell to #2 last Friday due to not quite enough number of Dears showing up to vote for him. Any Dimash fan who would like to see him return to the top where he belongs should tune into the MTV Friday Livestream EVERY Friday from 5-8 pm New York time and type REQUEST DIMASH as many times as possible in the chat during the three hours of the program. Or a Popera if you like. Hs intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art that captures the Yin and Yang of humanity. Without the vibrational balance, we are lost, which I believe Dimash totally understands through his own great humanity. I suggest "Screaming ", the official music video by Dimash. He plays piano, drums and sings multiple layers of backup vocals to himself. It is awesome and I know you are going to love it. In my opinion it is much better than this one, and I really like this one too.

The powers that be in the making of that movie, sent out a couple of scouts to find the most beautiful voice in the world to sing this.
They immediately went to their computers and typed in "most beautiful singing voice in the world" and up popped Dimash' name.
They sent him the score to see if he was interested. He recorded in his studio and emailed it back to them and as far as I know, not one other person was even considered.
I had hoped you might recognize the French actor Gérard Depardieu. You may be a bit young to know much about him, but I remember him from such movies as Green Card Staring Andi MacDowell.

The song 'Battle of Memories' was released 2017 for an another film that was a thriller/ a scifi murder mystery. Named Eternal Memory? I haven't seen it, but people have commented it's really good. Dimash sang OST 'Be happy' as an ending theme for Jackie Chan's movie 'Vanguard' 2020. That seems like an action movie in steroids:)

Hi Cedric, That was a brilliant reaction. This was put together during lockdown (there is a greenscreen video on YT of this being made) using clips from the film and a little CGI, it still turned out great though. For cinematics you need to see his MV's For "Qairan Elim", "love of tired swans", "Golden", "Screaming" all great cinematography. When this score was presented to Dimash by the composer/producer of the movie, there were 300 musicians/elements involved and they had three singers to cover the range and they didnt manage it !! 👍👍👌👌😊😊

I think this was recorded with Dimash standing in front of a green screen, possibly at his home studio (?), as he wasn’t able to travel anywhere at the time, due to Covid restrictions - so the film-makers at Sony had to work around him.
He first wore the beautiful jacket at his sell-out New York concert at the Barclays Centre, in December 2019 - it’s too good not to have been recycled for further use, isn’t it!
Wasn’t it recorded before? Since the film was set to release in beginning of 2020?

I can’t find anything to confirm one way or the other now, but I seem to remember that Dimash was found at the very end, when the film and orchestral soundtrack had already been recorded (it did well in at least one film festival before Dimash was approached, I think). There was also an interview with the designer - Leka? - who was tasked with providing the costumes for the New York concert ....

I would love it if Dimash did a live audition on the American Voice series. Not to actually compete as he is no amateur just to see Dimash blow the judges away.. Well, maybe not since his appearance on The World's Best some judges wouldn't and couldn't recognize his greatness due to their own over inflated ego. Maybe The Voice is more professional. I just visualize him doing this on an American TV show. I would just love to see their faces as no one ever on any American TV talent show can come close to Dimash not one.
