    0:27 hello I have a question 😁
    When you’re on him, are your hands/fingers locked?
    And if they are isn’t that illegal when y’all are both on the mat

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  5 місяців тому

      Yes, hands are locked around the chest. It's not illegal because we are neutral. In folkstyle, locking hands around the torso is only illegal in referee's position for the top man in control when the bottom man has at least one knee on the ground. In freestyle and Greco, the top man is allowed to lock hands around the torso in all situations.

    it seems like this move only works if the bottom man knee slides out...what if your facing a less experienced opponent who doesn't know to knee slide?

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  7 років тому +2

      If the opponent doesn't take the bait then you can switch to a front headlock and work him from there with a knee tap, shuck, short drag or a front headlock roll.

    • @forrestdenney8492
      @forrestdenney8492 7 років тому

      Cary Kolat i started freestyle not too long ago so in this position couldnt you trap and arm and the head and gator roll to get back exposure if i'm thinking correctly

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  7 років тому

      Yes that would be a front headlock roll in freestyle. You can also throw him to his back with the full body lock by extending his arms and then hip him over.

    Hi brother, Thank you so much for your videos, I've got a question for you.
    I want to learn Wrestling for self-defense, is it possible to learn it well from home, I bought a Dummy called BUBBA and I want to redo your videos, will I improve this way? Please help me because it is impossible for me to join a school since I have a bad injury in my arm I can only train with a dummy :(

    • @isaiahzepf5842
      @isaiahzepf5842 9 років тому

      To be honest, I, as someone who wrestles, wouldn't recommend it for self defense. That's really not what it's for. I'd say learn something with self defense as one of it's primary purposes, or something like BJJ.

    • @mnanaukkdz
      @mnanaukkdz 9 років тому

      Haha, good. All the sliding around on the ground in wrestling doesn't work so well on, say, asphalt. BJJ's good stuff, good luck.
