One of the very few superstars to emerge from the fluffy garbage pop music scene of today. Eric Clapton said " he doesn't know how good he really is ". His prowess on guitar and vocals could be described as " oh soooo tasty ".
Tactical x Recon he’s admitted at Stevie Ray Vaughan’s HOF induction that he’s never taken any drug or drink he’s been offered, and he owes it like many to Stevie. It’s simply pure passion for music and guitar
if that was a negative comment, like "lol he is bad" or something like that. Think about how many solos he has and will preform in his life.... Hard to come up with thousends of diffirent...
Tsaav Ntsaim ive never seen it. I been going to Mayer shows every year since 2002 and never seem him bust one out. He doesnt exclusively play strats, but Ive never seen him whip out a Les Paul
He’d used a Gibson Es-335 a lot during the John Mayer Trio days, and a few PRS humbucker guitars like his Super Eagle, but I don’t think he’s ever been known to play Les Pauls, could be wrong though.
John's feel is just so solid.
This guy is an Absolute Legend. Just amazing live. Love to watch this master at play.
Hahahah the whole band just lookin at John intensely in the intro like "so do we start playing the actual song now r wat like"
i mean i think they know better than that. I’m sure they know all the cues on when go time is
@@tw8454qqwqq wow p we q
Probably just in awe of this world class talent in front of them just like all those he's in front of
Nah they are all in the pocket with him
This is easily his best song,!!!!!
One of my favorites but Covered in Rain has one of the best solos of our generation
The intro is absolute fire.
3:19 that chord 😍
Para quê jogar palavras fora. Mayer é um SENHOR CANTOR GUITARRISTA DO MELHOR QUE HÁ
Master Playing... What a sound and vibe!
Just wow. The crowds alone. For this singular star.
Zane Carney on rhythm guitar too! Killer sound
Especially in the intro!
chief hopper holding it down back there
Dank u wel voor het plaatsen!!!!

a little love wouldnt hurt.
Why is the pace so slow, the album made me want to grab my lady and dance, now i just want to smoke a bowl n close my eyes....
Because he is completely stoned in this video

He states differently in his Rolling Stone interview... Not a big deal either way, he's a major artist. Just clashing information
TSG what???? John mayer openly ralks about his love for the weed
Fuckin right
Mmmm❤❤❤
Hozier on Rhythm Guitar haha =D
+Ray Uini haha a short american hozier aka zane carney
someone please explain how this guy was making flute sounds at around 5:00
+Chris Odetoyinbo He was using volume potentiometer or volume pedal. This technique is called swelling.
Actually he's using swelling and a qtron haha
Damián Neuenschwander no. It’s just the pedal. No swelling.
Probably some boost prior to the Q as well. It responds to attack and signal input quite a bit. Lots of noises available from one setting.
@@JS-rp7qbyeah he was still rolling the volume on most of it. You can briefly see him rolling it with his ring finger in a few quickly frames
aaaaaaaaaaaaaahHHH ♥
8:26 👌🏼
That feeling
best intro
Olha na boa.. essas canções do Jhon da vontade de passar a mão no carro e sumir no mundo...
Hozier on rhythm guitar
How effect uses at the starts?, Any envelope filter maybe?
Antonio Fernandez yeah he’s using a qtron plus with something else looped in.
Let's hope some day he discovers beer.
Not sure what you mean, but I want him to trip on LSD with Dead and Company
Haha very similar to his solo from After Midnight on Seth Meyers
if that was a negative comment, like "lol he is bad" or something like that. Think about how many solos he has and will preform in his life.... Hard to come up with thousends of diffirent...
Brandon Look honestly there was only one part that was similar and thats not copying the solo. its just one of the many licks he plays
I never said he was copying the solo. I just said it was similar. The solo was awesome.
Bro how stoned is this guy? lmaoo
does mayer ever rock'a les paul?

Well, there's footage of him playing one when he covers Sweet Child O' Mine in Cabo. The quality is shit, but you get what he's playing at least :)
Yes, but not live
1. He said in Insta live once
2. He played Sweet Child once somewhere
(Yesn't)
If you like John Mayer, check out Joe Jenneman!
why do the drums sound so weak on this... everything else is crisp.
already influenced by Jerry it seems
Just not like the 2007 period. nowhere near sadly
