Listen to these going to bed ... Excellent shows! Thanks for creating Old Time Radio 👍🏻
10:43 - a reference to "Ripley's Believe It or Not".
Well... another banner show . I find them relaxing. I thought. What’s relaxing about Brutal murders and robberies that just curls your eyebrows. ??? Great shows . Thank you for putting them up
It's the even tone of the presentation and Joe Friday's solid, calm delivery.
It was a different time. Cops had more power to enforce the jaw. We were not such a legalistic society.
Later adapted for television on March 4, 1954.
A very rare episode where Friday didn't get the last word.
Good observation
Lol
"I don't know him. I just killed him." 1951 in Los Angeles.
Is the “matron lady neighbor” Peggy Webber?
YES.
@@fromthesidelines Thanks Barry!
You're welcome!
Jack Webb is A Savage!!!
You say that every episode.
6,000 hits and one damn comment ??? Exercise your right ha ha
What was that beep at the very beginning of the episode?
Maybe a network signal marking the top of the hour? IDK....
I wonder what those modern apartments looked like. It's interesting that he didn't get the death penalty.
Blah blah Fatima blah blah. 😹😹 One of the first episodes that no one was bitching about the cigarette ads.
1950s version of catfishing
The Big Winchester ?? I think the Big Tube might have been a more appropriate title …,🤔
This one made no sense... no hints about motive?! Really?
