I was born in Canada in 1963. When I hear "Chesterfield", I don't think of cigarettes; I think of a couch or sofa.
Me too lol . Safer for you to lol.
I love the cigarette commercials
The lead actress does a great job in this role.
Jack Webb used A lot of the same players...I like Virginia Gregg...
Hmmm ...one comment per 1000 hits ...🙁
I hear a high pitched whining sound throughout. It's too distracting. Have to skip this one
Jack Webb’s incessant mmmhmm mmmmhmm is so annoying.
ACS Shap so are you.
Better than the incessant use of Virginia Gregg for every female role on radio and then overused ad nauseum in the TV Dragnet shows (and other shows). It’s one thing to have the same person for a repeat character. That’s as it should be, of course. But so many radio and TV shows got tiresome really fast, because they used the same annoying actress for every damsel in distress, and every female villain. People would bang on about their “range”, but nope. That isn’t “range” when they’re easily identified as the same old, same old. The same voice (radio and TV) and same face with a different wig and makeup (for TV) isn’t fooling anyone.
Idky they couldn’t give more actresses a chance and give it a rest, give listeners something other than the same old whine from the same old woman. It kinda gives the impression they must have been sleeping with the producer. Why else did they constantly reuse the same person for different characters? Skip the long-term contracts and actually use different actresses. Same for lots of old shows, including Box 13, and the Nero series, both radio and later the TV series with Timothy Hutton, always the same old chick. Irritating chick to boot. It ruins the series when they do that. After a few episodes, you have to take a long time out and then watch or listen to a few more much later, when the grating on the nerves has subsided. They should do some voice overs with different actresses today, clear that problem right up. The best shows use mostly or all unknowns for any non-regular characters, it keeps a series fresh and interesting.
Why even listen to this if every little thing bothers you all.
Plenty of other stuff to get triggered about on UA-cam.
willc you said it Will 👍🏼
