FYI: i uploaded this like two days before the dark road finale so obviously this question is now answered, BUT I now have even more questions so look forward to some videos in regards to what we've learned from the finale~
The most common argument for Ephemer is that Scala and Destiny Islands might/likely run on different time axis. Meaning Scala might be running a lot faster then Destiny Islands.
That said I am pretty 40 40 on the Blue Robe Man being either Ephemer or Brain, with the other 20 having him just be someone new maybe someone from Missing Link.
Honestly I am much more interested in what Blue Robe Man told to Xehanort then who he is. I could see a lot of the information that Xehanort seems to have about the Lost Masters or even Unreality might come form Blue Robe Man and not Scala. Which would mean that Mickey has once again been given a wild goose to chase. And that most of the answers that the characters need are actually on the Destiny Islands. It fits both Mickeys characterization and the feeling that there is something important on the Destiny Islands.
