Chris, you can avoid the lottery license by having a question that has to be answered. That makes it a game of skill. Then you pick between the winners (which will be all but the thickest of your viewers) by random number or drawing from a hat. This quick google confirms: www.out-law.com/en/topics/tmt--sourcing/media-law/running-a-competition/
Wil Hawkes that'll be why that family are selling their house by form of raffle as you need to answer the question. Hope he sees your reply as that's a good suggestion!
After giving this a quick read, it also specifies that you can run a lotery so long as there is a free entry alternative. You see this sometimes in competitions on daytime TV. You can enter a draw either by texting in and paying money, or by postal entry(which is free). Naturally, 99% of people can't be bothered to enter by post and thus pay the money.
I can confirm this. If your competition allows people to enter without a fee (i.e. you enter by buying a sticker, but you can also enter for free by sending a letter to "this" address), and/or you have an element of skill question (e.g. Which rider won the 2013 MotoGP tittle?) , then you circumvent the lottery regulations. Source: I work in market compliance which also regulates competitions making sure that no illegal lotteries are out in the UK market. Example Below **Mobile users be careful - The link below leads to a competition service that can bill you directly on your phone if you sign up for it** app.pinchecker.com/index_v2.php?pca=B6fKUiB&partner=tc_x_pn_ssv_pin_kod&x_synd_id=tc_x_pn_ssv_pin_kod&transaction_id=g25d1mbng75tqmzwh271&msisdn=?&x_synd_id=tc_x_pn_ssv_pin_kod&sid=h8uipri0ho6ti0cpgns289uil4 As you can see in the link above, this is a competition, prefaced with a skill question, which allows these guys to avoid lottery regulation.
Thank you for your advice on the KTM Stickets. Now to either man up and put my ballsack on the line or bail out and "bank" - like that tv show with that old nasty woman with flame grey hair. special edition "Jizz machine" stickers, 12,90 a pop, with a limited (800-1000) supply. 1 of the stickers comes with a small price... a superduke 1290 :P to be picked up in the UK.
Harley Davidson Breakout Ducati Panigale 1299 I made $360 from UA-cam last month and I think I'd be lucky if 500 people actually committed to entering. but then I'm a pessimist!
Thank you for giving AdjrianNickelodeon your crashed muffler, not only is he another step closer with a build but it means us subscribers to him get more content, plus you gave it to him for free which is awesome, so you sir are amazing and good luck with everything.
Baron, glad things are well. Some of those more "down" vlogs inspire me to fly across the pond and give you a hug and buy you a pint. The scenery where you are riding is beautiful and those roads are enchanting. I always look forward to watching your videos and I appreciate you sharing your life with us. Cheers!
Glad you're feeling better. When I see a new BVG or 44T video in my subscription list it literally makes my day better (regardless how it's going), so thanks a million for that.
Hi BVG, Your videos inspired me to get my full bike license last year and they still inspire me to get out there and ride. I'm glad you're okay and keep doing what you are doing! Cant wait to see your design for the bike.
I like watching these more kind of 'update videos' makes it rather personal still, like the old days, BUT, don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of your content... would love to bump into you again on the road or at loomies again.
You do this: Sell a limited run of special edition stickers. Everyone who buys a sticker has their name put into a hat and you draw one out at random. The person/name you pull from the hat then gets to meet you in person. They get to meet you and see your KTM. The person then offers to buy the bike off you and you agree on a sale price of £12.90 in a private transaction.
Not sure how I ended up watching this, but I grew up in Crondall in the sixties and seventies. Nice to see it all again. Thanks Baron.p.s. If you live in that neck of the woods your flat cap should be Barbour. Cheers.
TWITCH ! Make a Twitch channel, the subscription fee will be the entry. You will be broadcasting a draft live for your subscribers where the prize will be the bike. :-) Legally, we will be paying for the broadcast, the raffle for the bike will be happening only because you are such a nice person.
A. It takes months to get a channel big enough to get Twitch sub button. B. It's illegal to give away a prize for subbing. People have been banned for it. Towelie was the biggest channel that this happened to.
One mans loss is another mans gain. Awesome work helping another bloke out... even if it is the other side of the globe. Can't wait to see AdjrianNickelodeon's S1000RR fire up and make some glorious music for us.
AJ says thanks for the muffler! Loving what you and Big Gay Al are doing over at 44 Teeth! Definitely one of my favourite channels! Wish you both all the best! Jizz
You aren't always angry, and you obviously have a soft side (not just for Al and double deckers). What a gesture sending AJ that akra end can. If you cant use it, and no-one else wanted it, why not. Top marks for you there. I know 44T has been busy but can we have another Baron vlog? :D
I like your attitude towards the end. It's your channel, your content, put up whatever you want as long as you are happy doing it and ignore the haters.
Holy shit. Almost a quarter million subs. WOW! Congratulations. I remember watching you talk about pissing yourself and talking about orcs years ago. This makes me soooo happy.
I think you should design a limited edition T shirt, each person who buys a t shirt gets a "free" entry into the raffle. when you have sold enough to cover the costs of the KTM you simply pick a lucky winner to "give" the bike to. Surely a product with a "free entry" will make it lottery exempt?
650ib Do it! I'm not entirely sure at the moment! but there are a few track bike rental companies who could help out. would be AWESOME to have you there :)
It's ok to feel in a dark place sometimes that's real life, your videos have been great I have been having chemotherapy for six months, which meant two weeks in bed each month but managed to still get out on my bike.
So you design stuff for a living, but the only merch we can get from 44 Teeth are blank tees and hoodies! The 44 Teeth symbol is awesome; put it on cool stuff. Take a page out of PLAECO's book. Great videos, you and Al are hilarious, looking forward to more videos.
Wow, as if I've never heard the term "Spring forward, Fall back" before. That's definitely going with "Righty tighty, lefty loosy" in the top-tips part of my brain.
AdjrianNickelodeon brought me here, for what, i say thanks to you for helping him on his track bike project by sending that awesome exhaust all for free, every little things count, you got my sub right here, and great videos. Live the dream, keep calm and ride safe !
No idea if it's legal, but maybe you could make a club that has access to 'exclusive giveaways'. People pay an entry fee, and from there you can randomly select a 'club member' to receive the bike for free. Kind of like the Dallas Buyer's club, I think (I haven't seen the movie)
Baron, hey man I love motorcycles like you. I own a K1300R and waiting to ride the summer season here in Canada. Your HP4 rocks. Look at the sun and enjoy your life, like you say. You mean well and I really appreciate your videos of your passion of motorcycles. But never mind the cars
you could try patreon then at the end of the payment period pick one of your patreons backers to give it away to I believe it should be classed as a gift
I think its no longer a game of chance if you add an element of skill. That's why they put those stupid questions on daytime TV giveaways. Like "KTM is a) Austrian, b) Japanese , or c) Welsh?
Bonza! You've won a nearly new ute and a half full tin of xxxx! Unfortunately; due to currency conversions and shipping costs, your entry fee is $12099.00. And you have to collect in person.
If you’re still thinking of doing this - the way to get around it (as done by many Facebook/Instagram popular car contests are done) is to ask a question when the buyer submits, this means it’s not a lottery but in fact a competition or some BS! Hope that helps 👍
Love your videos man, was totally surprised when I was watching another motorvlogger from Aussie 🇦🇺 (adjrian nickelodeon) and he mentioned you in his video. Seriously man it's awesome when motorvloggers connect with eachother. Keep up the good work, always looking forward to watching your videos. Oh and thanks for sending adjrian nickelodeon your akrapovic exhaust :)
Mate! It's your honesty that makes us care and respect you. And I hope you understand that your videos have helped a lot of people in dark times. Me included. Give me your hat size and I'll send you and Al flat caps. No joke. It's the least I can do to show my appreciation.
BaronVonCheerey! Keep up the great work Chris. Glad to hear that so many great things are ahead! (even though my neck now hurts from looking at the screen sideways)
Coolest wearer of a Kangol ever was Mike Hailwood. 1979 Senior TT winning helmet. Come to think of it, that RG500 paint scheme was pretty cool too. Barnstorming...
As mentioned, all you need to do is make it a quiz that you have to pay to enter. You dont then need a licence. Have a simple question and charge £12.90 to enter your answer. Then once you have the desired amount of entries, make the draw from the correct answers.
Lovely to see the Bubbly Baron back. As a member of my local Blood Bike group why not donate the KTM to your local group to raffle, as a charity they wouldn't need a licence and the funds would help them keep the service going. xx
I can remember watching you when you were searching for the Puss In Boots DVD at blockbuster!! It motivated me to get myself my motorbike license so I could go around shops buying DVDs.
Perhaps you can get a Global Hypercolour paint scheme on your Bahnstomer S1000??....now that would look cool! :0) ...and seriously do you think the Beemer looks better than a Panigale??? Good to have you back, enjoyed your video as ever....all the best - TMF
Simple - require everyone who buys one of your products to leave their name and email. Then GIVE the bike away to a random person from your address book. If it just so happens one of those people bought one of your products, well, cant help that
another quality vid baron. you made me feel a twat to myself as i laughed at my phone at the nipple one liner sat alone in the sanctuary of my living room. you are a bit of a legend dear sir
Cheers for the pipe from AdjrianNickelodeon! I still remember when you took your super bike down the muddy trail as a "test run" and dropped it in the puddle, fuck bro I felt your pain!
Big Thank you to all AdjrianNickelodeons bro's coming over here and saying hi. Lovely stuff indeed lads.
good to know you are still alive since there has been no uploads & or on social media. Hope all is well!
Chris, you can avoid the lottery license by having a question that has to be answered. That makes it a game of skill. Then you pick between the winners (which will be all but the thickest of your viewers) by random number or drawing from a hat.

Wil Hawkes that'll be why that family are selling their house by form of raffle as you need to answer the question. Hope he sees your reply as that's a good suggestion!
I think the question should be "which tv character is famous for the phrase DONT PANIC!"
After giving this a quick read, it also specifies that you can run a lotery so long as there is a free entry alternative. You see this sometimes in competitions on daytime TV. Best question: what is the Barons favourite chocolate bar? A double bloody decker of course!!!!!!
"Let's pull over and end it here" - NOOOOO BARON!!! DON'T DO IT!!! YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR!!!
Thank you for your advice on the KTM Stickets. Now to either man up and put my ballsack on the line or bail out and "bank" - like that tv show with that old nasty woman with flame grey hair.

The Weakest Link?? Nice video glad to see you're back, great content, summer weather is coming!
special edition "Jizz machine" stickers, 12,90 a pop, with a limited (800-1000) supply. 1 of the stickers comes with a small price... a superduke 1290 :P to be picked up in the UK.
Make it a thing where "buy this hat and get a FREE entry ticket to a bike win". No one is buying the bike change, they're buying a hat.
BaronVonGrumble I agree... sell stickers for 12.90 but give the bike away to a random person
Harley Davidson Breakout Ducati Panigale 1299 I made $360 from UA-cam last month and I think I'd be lucky if 500 people actually committed to entering. but then I'm a pessimist!
I fight with depression, and Sir I salute you. Keep going, because you express the dark dog better in many ways than I can.
Glad to see you back, amigo.
My old dad once told me, "You can never have too many tampons!" 🤔😂
Thank you for giving AdjrianNickelodeon your crashed muffler, not only is he another step closer with a build but it means us subscribers to him get more content, plus you gave it to him for free which is awesome, so you sir are amazing and good luck with everything.

I would certainly buy a 1290 ticket, find a way around it :-) nothing wrong with flat caps I wear one they must be cool!!!
Glad you're feeling better. When I see a new BVG or 44T video in my subscription list it literally makes my day better (regardless how it's going), so thanks a million for that.
Glad everything's fine!
11:17 - "Right let's pull over and end it here. In my favourite spot."
OH GOD NO BARON NO!
Amazing how just the thought of the clocks going forward, and the imminent arrival of spring/summer can cheer you up no end.
Your vlogs where you went on trips were my favorite, thanks for all you do for us.
AdjrianNicklodeon, say cheers for the muff, and we cant wait to hear it at full noise
Glad to hear your positive vibe today. Back to living through UA-cam. Snow today after riding the past two days with temps around 18C. Come on Spring!
Hi BVG, Your videos inspired me to get my full bike license last year and they still inspire me to get out there and ride. I'm glad you're okay and keep doing what you are doing! Cant wait to see your design for the bike.

*Talks about people's reaction to depressing video*
*Pulls over* "Okay let's end it here..." 11:17
One mans loss is another mans gain.
Jizz
it never gets old seeing that great UK countryside!
Big thanks for sending that Akrapovic muffler to AdjrianNickelodeon's upcoming track bike!!!
What a beautiful spring day you've got. We just got 2-3 inches of snow.
Thank you so much mate for AJ's new exhaust.
You aren't always angry, and you obviously have a soft side (not just for Al and double deckers). What a gesture sending AJ that akra end can. If you cant use it, and no-one else wanted it, why not. Top marks for you there. I know 44T has been busy but can we have another Baron vlog? :D

Barons back 👍🏼😊 good to see a happy Baron, it cheers me up, and iv just passed my bike test thanks and can't wait to get one now
I wanted to raffle off my RSV4 RF but the laws in the USA don't allow it either. I'm looking forward to your track day vids.
650ib you should come over man!! 2 dudes coming from Canada and one from Australia so no excuse..!
BaronVonGrumble I want to do that! Are they shipping their bikes?
650ib Do it! I'm not entirely sure at the moment! but there are a few track bike rental companies who could help out. would be AWESOME to have you there :)
top bloke baron for sending adjriannickelodeon the exhaust !!!
AJ sent me here, BTW he said thanks for the exhaust slip-on
It's ok to feel in a dark place sometimes that's real life, your videos have been great I have been having chemotherapy for six months, which meant two weeks in bed each month but managed to still get out on my bike.

BaronVonGrumble AdjrianNickelodeon said thanks for the exhaust and that was really kind of you to do
Wow, as if I've never heard the term "Spring forward, Fall back" before.
That's definitely going with "Righty tighty, lefty loosy" in the top-tips part of my brain.
This year, clocks go forward at 1am on March 26 - signalling British Summer Time.
Sounds to me like the Baron is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the 44T stuff, but i have really missed the old style Baron content.
AdjrianNickelodeon brought me here, for what, i say thanks to you for helping him on his track bike project by sending that awesome exhaust all for free, every little things count, you got my sub right here, and great videos. Live the dream, keep calm and ride safe !
Another great video! Glad to hear you're ok and I'm really looking forward to the new design! Good luck with the KTM!
AJ says thank you.
What i take from this is "don't be a bell end, be a friend". it's not gonna be easy, but i'll try.
thanks for the Akra from AJ! You sir, are a top-bloke!
Ps, both you and AJ's videos discussing mental health are fantastic
that s1000 will be very very interesting!
Ask RoadcraftNottingham. He's done a couple of raffles in the UK.
No idea if it's legal, but maybe you could make a club that has access to 'exclusive giveaways'. People pay an entry fee, and from there you can randomly select a 'club member' to receive the bike for free. Kind of like the Dallas Buyer's club, I think (I haven't seen the movie)
Ryan Mills i like this idea
Good to hear that you are alright.
thanks G for Adjrians fully sick exhaust!
good to know buddy. I'm just happy to have bvg videos to watch. bought my first big bike last sat and am now completely obsessed with it all.
'Mouse rabies in my ear hole' classic grumble, this is why I watch, nice there are bikes too 😂
had a strange feeling about the last video. It´s great that it was just a little black mood and you sound much more enthusiastic now!
Baron, if the draw were open to your friends across the sea, I would definitely buy a ticket. I hope it works out!
Lol baron getting excited about that weather, over here in Australia that day would be considered dog shit weather.
I have been wearing flat caps since I was 20. 27 now and still going strong
you could try patreon then at the end of the payment period pick one of your patreons backers to give it away to I believe it should be classed as a gift
I think its no longer a game of chance if you add an element of skill. That's why they put those stupid questions on daytime TV giveaways. Like "KTM is a) Austrian, b) Japanese , or c) Welsh?
John Moody was just coming here to say that 👍
John Moody .... I ccchh chhh chhhoooseeee C
No KTM for you! Now give me £12.90 and be on your way.
ooooh I know this... the answer is a) Australian
have I won?
Bonza! You've won a nearly new ute and a half full tin of xxxx! Unfortunately; due to currency conversions and shipping costs, your entry fee is $12099.00. And you have to collect in person.
that song at the end is 10/10
Thanks for being a generous guy and sending @AdjrianNickelodeon a gift. You earned yourself another subscriber👌🏻
If you’re still thinking of doing this - the way to get around it (as done by many Facebook/Instagram popular car contests are done) is to ask a question when the buyer submits, this means it’s not a lottery but in fact a competition or some BS! Hope that helps 👍
Just re-watching some of your videos because I'm bored- didn't see the outro the first time, it's awesome!
Great to hear you sounding so much better. It's easy ..". Just live life & love it. F&%# what everyone else says.
Thanks for giving AdjrianNickelodeon that pipe! That is legendary!
Baron, your so damn inspiring to me. Thx alot for that. Your definitely my favourite UA-camr/Vlogger what ever
The musical endings are very jizzy man, a good touch is needed to create the perfect jizzy ending.
Mate! It's your honesty that makes us care and respect you. And I hope you understand that your videos have helped a lot of people in dark times. Me included. Soppy stuff over, what about raffles inside clubs? There is a loophole in the states for stuff like that. So join 44teeth fan club and an a chance to whom a bike? Or give a percentage to charity. how about truck nuts and lots of sparkles for the bimmer? I happen to be a purveyor of extremely high end country fashion.
Top vid mate. Difference a solitary bit of nice weather can make as well (not that it's all weather)
TOO LATE I AM PANICKING!!
Coolest wearer of a Kangol ever was Mike Hailwood. 1979 Senior TT winning helmet. Come to think of it, that RG500 paint scheme was pretty cool too. Barnstorming...
Callover Pete *Baronstorming
You're such a nice guy for helping out AJ. Keep up the awesome work on 44T!
If you're well, then I'm happy. Thanks for the update. PS might just be easier to ship the ktm to me x
Clocks go forward on the 26th March! (in the UK)
As mentioned, all you need to do is make it a quiz that you have to pay to enter. You dont then need a licence. Have a simple question and charge £12.90 to enter your answer. Then once you have the desired amount of entries, make the draw from the correct answers.
Looking forward to all of your upcoming videos this year :-). Good to hear all is well man, Take Care.
Yes.
The Kangool Caps where cool in the late 90´s. I wear them too :D
Now i wear tweet flat caps like an old man :D
a big thank you on behalf of AdrianNickelodeo for the exhaust u sent him and refused to let him pay you without a doubt a very kind gesture
Lovely to see the Bubbly Baron back.
As a member of my local Blood Bike group why not donate the KTM to your local group to raffle, as a charity they wouldn't need a licence and the funds would help them keep the service going. xx
Best question for the lottery: what is the Barons favourite chocolate bar? A double bloody decker of course!!!!!!
I can remember watching you when you were searching for the Puss In Boots DVD at blockbuster!! It motivated me to get myself my motorbike license so I could go around shops buying DVDs.
Love how it looks like the bike has a character of its own and Baron needs to concentrate on controlling what it has decided to do! 1:17
Perhaps you can get a Global Hypercolour paint scheme on your Bahnstomer S1000??....now that would look cool! :0) ...and seriously do you think the Beemer looks better than a Panigale??? Good to have you back, enjoyed your video as ever....all the best - TMF
Hi TMF :) lol
Hello....
Kappa makes me laugh, cause "Kappe" is German for cap. Looking forward to meeting you again anytime soon.
Simple - require everyone who buys one of your products to leave their name and email.
Then GIVE the bike away to a random person from your address book. If it just so happens one of those people bought one of your products, well, cant help that
God that HP Sauce sounds good shifting through the gears!
Thanks for the muffler BVG! :)
another quality vid baron. you made me feel a twat to myself as i laughed at my phone at the nipple one liner sat alone in the sanctuary of my living room. you are a bit of a legend dear sir
thanks for giving Adjrian nickelodeon your sick exhaust much appreciated
Speak to Russ at Road Craft Nottingham. He was involved in raffle-ing a Harley Davidson last year.
Cheers for the pipe from AdjrianNickelodeon! I still remember when you took your super bike down the muddy trail as a "test run" and dropped it in the puddle, fuck bro I felt your pain!
Chris. The clocks go forward on the 26th March. If you change your clocks this weekend, at least you will be early for stuff of two weeks!! :-)
