Although I am not a truck enthusiast, I find your reviews of various trucks interesting, informative, enjoyable and very worthwhile. I think you could do videos on anything and you would have a big following because of your professionalism, honesty, content, production quality and of course your brilliant commentary! You do it all very well Stavros, CHEERS!
I have some friends who work for a local company and they love their DAF lorries, the company previously ran Scania, MAN and Iveco, but they prefer the DAF for the same reasons you mentioned, quite, comfortable, fuel efficient and good value for money.
I came off Mercedes for Scania.... Then off Scania for DAF over 20 yrs ago now..... For comfort and space I would not leave a Super or a Space Cab..... I absolutely loved my 95 XF Space Cab.!!! Saying that i'm now in a 85 DAF CF 410....Company doesn't go for big cabs anymore..... awww what a pity I hear.!!!!!!! Great vid fella once again and good honest review as always.!!!!! Mossy,!
Another excellent video Stavros. I split time between a XF105 510 and a rental MAN TGS 26.540. Here in Australia we get a very different Product to Europe; we have Kenworth rear air suspension, Meritor diffs and drum rear brakes, still on Euro 5. It is very rough whilst bobtail but improves remarkably with a decent load on. I agree it is a very quiet truck, the quietest I’ve ever driven. It’s quite a pleasant place to spend a working day. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work.
Amazing pronounciation of DAF, Van Doorne's Aanhangwagenfabriek N.V. I live in Eindhoven, where these amazing trucks are being built, love that you try to pronounce such a difficult name! Also, amazing reviews, keep it up!
Another great review. I do like your enthusiastic commentary. So pleased to see you have a new pair of shoes. Bit more up to date. More truck reviews please. Any make, any model
Cant go wrong with a daf, one of the comfiest trucks on the road, and i love the mirror style. Really easy to gauge depth in the front mirror and curb mirror so tight manoeuvres are that little bit easier.
I’m not a truck driver, but I’m considering this for myself as I plan to start my own business as a workshop mechanic specialising in bicycles and motorbikes. In the future, I’d like to have a custom-designed rigid truck and a purpose-built racing transport trailer, similar to what professional companies use. These would be tailored to my needs and help establish my business as a fully equipped, professional workshop with a dealership included. My goal is to build an independent business with a dedicated, highly skilled team to deliver exceptional services. For the racing industry, I’d like to create setups similar to what professional racers and companies have, using trucks and racing transport trailers to support operations. Additionally, I’d like to share this journey through UA-cam content, showcasing the process and the steps involved in achieving this vision. The DAF 2018 XF 460hp truck seems like a solid choice for a beginner. One aspect that stands out is the design of the steps-it could be improved to prevent twisting your ankles or feet. Like any truck, it has its pros and cons, but overall, I’d say it’s a good option. I’m not sure about the current cost or whether this model is still in production, but if I were getting one, I’d consider something similar to this or a Scania. Both DAF and Scania are brands I greatly admire.
It’s interesting to see the European trucks compared to what we have here in North America. I’ve always liked cab over trucks, and the styling of the DAF is a 10 in my opinion. I have wondered why these trucks aren’t imported to North America? The safety features, driver comforts, and refinement seem decades ahead of some of our trucks. Although I’m not a fan of all the features, I did really like the keyless entry and bulb self test feature. Very well-thought engineering. Just out of curiosity, do you know what final drive (axle) gear ratios are offered / common with these trucks? It looked like the transmission gears were approximately 450 rpm apart, so that is very similar to an Eaton 9 speed we are used to.
Good review- I like a DAF I’d have one before anything other than Volvo No need to change a great cab design better to live in than ANY. Other tractor unit. Superspace is better though Good video
Isn't DAF a division of Paccar ??? I see the headlights are similar design to the 579 peterbilt here in the states. Just wondering if we'll see some of the technology from this truck in American trucks in the future???
btw van doorne Aanhangwagen Fabriek (Aka DAF) Is translated to van doorne(a dutch surname) Trailer Factory in dutch, for anyone wondering. good video , my dad drives a cf and sometimes the xf. i like them alot but for local transporting the xf isnt very good, hurts your back after stepping in and out 30 times.... but its a good truck. thank you for the video, btw i have a problem with my cf that if its a windy day the fusebox starts fluting, or making a flute kind of sound while on the highway... idk what it is, does anyone know?
Tesla or a DAF? Hummm it's DAF for the win in my book. Thanks Stavros, once more for a great truck informative video and nice to see a new one too, err not so battle worn. Nope you beat me on this model Stavros, 95 XF,105 XF then down to 85 CF on my night trunks. The little cameras in the wind-lets might add to the lower door wind noise (might).
Truckers getting it easy these days I used to drive a avm daf 1160 with a 9 speed fuller box 100mph easy down hill with 40ton of steel Durban to Zambia no air con and a metal engine cover
A nice review of this DAF. My company in Holland uses it also, together with some Mercedes and Scania's. Some of these Scania's are LNG powered. I drive a Mercedes as a daily driver.. It is also equiped with the latest safety gadgets. How do you feel about using the steering nob? It has been told to me that it could damage the steering aid(?) because it is used when standing still, or at low speed. Thnx for your response..
Very nice video! First time watching your videos, but I will sure come back :) Why did you used the 80km/h in the motorway? In Portugal - and many other EU countries - the truck speed limit is 90km/h.
my favourite is Tanya aur 450 truck interior very nice output Very nice interesting function display very easily and coming soon made in Bangladesh market ok 😚

Thank you, much appreciated
Yes indeed i think quite so to its very interesting
That cab is originally a Cabtech design from 1987 used by DAF, Seddon Atkinson and Pegaso.
I have some friends who work for a local company and they love their DAF lorries, the company previously ran Scania, MAN and Iveco, but they prefer the DAF for the same reasons you mentioned, quite, comfortable, fuel efficient and good value for money.

Another great review. I do like your enthusiastic commentary. So pleased to see you have a new pair of shoes. Bit more up to date. More truck reviews please. Any make, any model
From Canada, love watching these videos!
I own a DAF XF Mega Space Cab 4x2 440 Astronic 2016 Euro6 and I love it. A bit slowish gearbox but supergood comfort and space. Good fuel economy. 👍🏻
Looks solidly built
Wow... this is my first time I see Daf Truck mr stavros. Cause I never seen that truck before. So I like that... 👍👍👍
Dutch sure know how to make trucks :)
@Stavros DAF main focus was comfort for the driver of DAF truck plus all the safety features and plus you can get a 480hp

Didn't know Paccar owned DAF. Probably a lot of similarities to the Kenworths and Peterbilts we have here in America.
brilliant video review. still not keen on daf but thumbs up for the great video of one.
I am a fan of DAF and I love the euro 6 series and the pure excellence series which came to the UK and ireland this year
BEASTY BOY 539 I've been DAF fan all my life and I love the 95 DAFs with the Cummins Engines
Cant go wrong with a daf, one of the comfiest trucks on the road, and i love the mirror style. Really easy to gauge depth in the front mirror and curb mirror so tight manoeuvres are that little bit easier.

Thanks Stavross
Nice job
I wonder if that wind noise could be down to the cameras placed in the cab corner deflectors?
Loved it @stavros969
24:51 Nice horn
We drive only DAF XF 106 530. And its a unbelivable experience
What kind of transmission is used in these trucks? did you ever drove a long trip with an manual gearbox?
Keep going man keep going
Awesome video
so satisfying and very informative
No dipstick ? I hope the sensors for the gauge in the oil pan are bang on cue.
I like the sound DAF
Thanks for very great truck reviews, my question for you is “ How do you tell the sockets of doozies?”
Nice truck, although the old school dafs from the 80's look a lot better than these ones.
My step dad drives a DAF XF and I sometimes go in it for the night when he works for Linney refrigerated Transport in u.k Oldahm
which one is shifting gears faster, volvo dual clutch or new generation scania
Great question!
Black Hand
New generation scania is better and faster shifting gear...
True
Of course scania ng upgraded gearboxes.when we compare volvo fh with scania streamliner,we will understand that volvo fh is sooooo faster
24:20 I think almost all the articulated lorries from the 7 manufacturers in Europe have been awarded International Truck of the Year in some year
I like the way you explain thanks Stavros from Victor S A
always the best, bravo goes on like this and please do truck videos more often💪
can you make a video for the iveco Stralis AS2 euro 5?
Thanks
Isn't DAF a division of Paccar ??? I see the headlights are similar design to the 579 peterbilt here in the states. Just wondering if we'll see some of the technology from this truck in American trucks in the future???
Steering wheel is also same
finally DAF
I’m surprised that the transmission is automatic. Is that becoming more popular in Europe?
Haha i was watching you jack the cab just after i wrote that thanks for the info love the vidoe's
great videos! what is the inside height off the cabin? thnx
Lovely, quiet comfortable cab. Gutless as a gutless thing though.
Rust quickly

btw van doorne Aanhangwagen Fabriek (Aka DAF) Is translated to van doorne(a dutch surname) Trailer Factory in dutch, for anyone wondering. good video , my dad drives a cf and sometimes the xf. i like them alot but for local transporting the xf isnt very good, hurts your back after stepping in and out 30 times.... but its a good truck. thank you for the video, btw i have a problem with my cf that if its a windy day the fusebox starts fluting, or making a flute kind of sound while on the highway... idk what it is, does anyone know?

Where do you put the TV?
Thank u for doing truck vids
Are you a truckdriver Stavros? Nice video :)
Thorough as always Stavros, any chance you could get a look at the Volvo FH 4?
Tesla or a DAF? Hummm it's DAF for the win in my book.
Thanks Stavros, once more for a great truck informative video and nice to see a new one too, err not so battle worn. Nope you beat me on this model Stavros, 95 XF,105 XF then down to 85 CF on my night trunks.
The little cameras in the wind-lets might add to the lower door wind noise (might).
Shaun Moore DAF is the best
Did he show the air horns
Can you do one vdo for Chinese trucks eg howo, beiben, or faw trucks
It isnt a daf 2018 model thats also why it doesnt shift fast
This might sound daft but why would you only have a electric guage for oil what if it fails?
Aaron Ruff If it failed you would have to jack the cab and use the dipstick
Could you record a video about renualt T???
Hope to get one sometime
Stavros969 and previous generation volvo FH
Truckers getting it easy these days I used to drive a avm daf 1160 with a 9 speed fuller box 100mph easy down hill with 40ton of steel Durban to Zambia no air con and a metal engine cover
Cool review on this DAF,but can you make a review on the Iveco Stralis Hi-way or Iveco Stralis Euro 6?or how do you want to say.
DAF XF nice 460
Can you do a Ford F Max review, I don't know if they are in Ireland or the UK but they look good
A nice review of this DAF. My company in Holland uses it also, together with some Mercedes and Scania's. Some of these Scania's are LNG powered. I drive a Mercedes as a daily driver.. Just like listening to my own truck (Peterbilt) starting
You say its a 2018 but the new models have the facelift with the different sunscreen and grill, is it different in the uk or is it just not a 2018?
nicola Prythencko This DAF is registered in 2018
Stavros969 alright... so do the 2018 DAF's in the uk and ireland just dont have the facelift? Sorry for being so stubborn
it's not a Stavros review without mentioning the full air deflector kit
Could you please make a video on Volvo VNL
I would love to if i could get one
The VNL is for the american market only, real shame..
That gear box is really dated now. Theyve changed it for a traxion unit in the new updated one. Great review mate
Very nice video!
First time watching your videos, but I will sure come back :)
Why did you used the 80km/h in the motorway?
In Portugal - and many other EU countries - the truck speed limit is 90km/h.
D. À .F stands for What ??
my favourite is Tanya aur 450 truck interior very nice output Very nice interesting function display very easily and coming soon made in Bangladesh market ok 😚
What is add blue
