Always enjoy the honesty. It's nice to see the comparisons with East Riding which is a fantastic event. It looks like events over here are slowly becoming more and more slick, spectator friendly and social like you see on the continent. It's easy to forget especially with COVID how most closed road events in the UK haven't ran that many times, hopefully keep improving!
Totally agree. Covid really knocked the development of closed roads back. But they are on the rise and improving all the time
Get yourself over to Ireland for a spin, Wexford stages in early September, 2 days closed roads 10 minutes off the boat in Rosslare, always a very well run event

Nice one., that looked like great fun. Budget is everything. Picking 3or 4 events you really want to do is better then doing 8 or nine in a series, 6 of which are of no real interest.

Sounds like it came together Richard and she did not seem that much slower from the footage. The town square assembly point did also remind me of the East Riding Stages. Pleased you are keeping her and look forward to your next outing. Phil

Rallye du Bethune is another one with a stunning town centre/ parc ferme. They make a big event of it on the continent, and the local people understand the revenue a rally brings. Whereas we're still running single venues at the back of nowhere closed off to the public. It's slowly changing for the better.
Do they allow paddle shift on Bethune, Paul? I think it has to be as homologated.

What are the costs like compared to the uk?
Entries are about €600 all in. So a bit cheaper. Which helps with the cross channel bit.
East Belgium will be a very expensive event. As you are forced to buy tyres and gasoline beforehand from the RACB. Very pretty rally tho.

@@Richard_Weaver omloop van Vlaanderen is the same as its a brc event as well. Only difference is its not so deep in Belgium for you. Best rallys for the money are vas/asaf rallys to be honest. Like Wervik that is soon or staden.
Q2
