True tear jerker. And I'm a dude, If you want to get some emotions out privately, Just take a listen. Oh yeah it helps if your a family man with a daughter.
and just like any 'great' country song, it's just a simple chord or two, allowing the words to speak volumes - thank you so much for those tears, just showing us how humanand beautiful you are Sarah
This song is definitely a tear jerker. Easily the best song Tim McGraw ever did. It is something that says what many men think about girlfriends, fiancees and wives, but have a hard time saying or showing.
Country music comes from the heart. Most of the old country singers would say that it is life's experiences that they have experienced personally is why they sing the songs that they do.
Great reaction. This was an instant Favorite with the First note when I heard it for the first time. In case you didn't realize it - the Mother ( the girl ) lived and was bringing the picnic basket to the boys at the end of the video.
Samuel Timothy "Tim" McGraw (born May 1, 1967) is an American country music singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He has released 16 studio albums, 10 of those albums have reached number one on the Top Country Albums charts. Don´t Take The Girl was released in March 1994. The song reached number one on the Canadian country charts and reached number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100. He has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Suggestion: Another country song from 1994. Mary Chapin Carpenter - Shut Up and Kiss Me.👍 Thanks Sarah! For "Tim McGraw - Don´t take the girl" reaction video! 🙂
Sarah, you are a tender heart person. I like what you said about your brother. I myself have an adult adopted daughter. Even though she is very capable, I still ask her to call me when she gets home from work during the winter when the roads are icy.
I also have two biological daughters. I do the "Dad" thing to all three. My NBD is foreign born. Her skin tone is even different than mine and she speaks English with an accent. But, I can't tell the difference. To me they are my daughters.
This song has such a powerful message. Thanks for doing this one. My favorite songs from the great Tim McGraw are When She Wakes Up, One of These Days, Just To See You Smile, Don't Take the Girl, Can’t Be Really Gone, I Do But I Don’t, Angry All the Time, Grown Men Don’t Cry, Back When, My Little Girl, Everywhere, You Had To Be There, and If You’re Reading This.
When I was pregnant wit my son 19 yrs ago I played this song for my husband as he was rather new to modern country. Got to the end and he said I was not allowed to play this song again until after the baby was born. Now he loves the song.
Absolutely love this song! I know every word of it growing up! It's so sad, especially the last lyrics! Am I still think you should check out Slipknot Vermillion part one and two lol 😁😊
The song let's the listener decide what happens. Did she die and Johnny was taking Johnny jr. fishing at the end? Or do they leave it hanging by repeating the first line for you to decide?
You weren't crying alone I bawl everytime I hear this one.
Very emotional
So do I!
True tear jerker. And I'm a dude, If you want to get some emotions out privately, Just take a listen. Oh yeah it helps if your a family man with a daughter.
I think this song gets everyone

I'm a middle aged guy and this song has always made me cry. Don't tell my friends lol
All reactors think she died. SHE LIVED!!! that's her running toward grown up Johnny with their little boy. I enjoyed your reaction. It was very real
Such a beautiful reaction
Great reaction. This was an instant Favorite with the First note when I heard it for the first time. In case you didn't realize it - the Mother ( the girl ) lived and was bringing the picnic basket to the boys at the end of the video.
This song always brings me to tears. Also, your brother is a true man for protecting you..
I would do everything to protect my wife and my only daughter and sons as well
Country music does that to all of us, it’s so emotionally powerful
I love that song, it has always made me teary.
Real country music has that effect on a lot of people it's everyday life brought to music and it touches so many.

Song is old as dirt and still tears me up every single time I hear it...
Good to know the girl survived. That's her running towards the end of the video.
She lives in the end. Rejoice! 💕 The footage shows her. By the way, you’re very stunning! 👌🏽
Actually she doesn't
Cry every time i hear this song.
Hello beautiful 👋😊 love from Wisconsin USA 🤗🥰 God bless you sweetheart 💪🤝✌️🙏
Like most country songs, they tell a story. Like this one.
Humble and Kind or even Undivided. Tim has a lot to react to.
Lovely song but so sad! Loved your tender reaction Sarah. 😊
Thank you pa 🙂
I've determined that she doesn't die at the end so for me it's so emotional with a happy ending. I never want to hear otherwise.
@@mulltothree4375 Yup, and she's carrying another baby.
It's pretty much impossible to not cry to this if you're a human being.
One of the most that tugs my heartstrings after Dont Take The Girl is There Goes My Life or The Good Stuff
Great reaction and ty for your story about your brother
This song always hits hard. Real life.

That's so nice to hear 😊 she will always be your little girl 🙂

Dang she's pretty!
BTW I tear up whenever I hear this song.
That’s what The Dance by Garth Brooks always does to me. Song was from the 90’s like this one but it always makes me cry.
My #1 favorite country song ever
Every time without fail 😥😥😥
I don’t like country, but this is one of my all time favorite songs
If you don’t cry , you have no soul 😂😂

Country music tells the story like no other type of music does.
It's beautifully how it starts with him not wanting her and ends with him not being able to live without her. Such a beautifully touching story
Beautiful
Many do not realize that his dad tug McGraw was the reliever for world series winning Phillies.
Ugh... Why you got me crying over here!? Lol
Sorry 🤧
@@SarahDengler as long as you're crying with me!

💕💕💕💕
it's amazing how "don't take the girl" can have so many different meanings
if you pay attention at the end she lives
If you watch the very end you will see that Johnny was there with his son and the mother came running. The girl survived!
Hey there beautiful ❤😮
😢😢😢😢
I love you Sarah ❤
??? I started tearing up in the first few words?!?!? I had to stop the video because I knew were it was going. Got stuff to do today.
Listen to the song If I Die Young by The Band Perry.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Even after the second verse, no one sees the third verse coming lol
