I'd like to mention two things in the order I realized them and I hope it helps someone else: My front-driver window was locked in the up position. Pressing the switch did nothing. I eventually cut the cable which allowed the window to drop. After I finished installing the regulator/motor, I tried raising it to attach the window and nothing happened. What I found is, if the light bulb is not plugged in then NOTHING happens. So, I might have been able to plug in the bulb rather than cut the cable. Plugging the bulb in allowed me to raise it enough to attach the window and continue the installation. I would also like to specify that I mean the cable that manipulates the window up and down and NOT any of the electrical wires.

If you are buying a new regulator because the motor stops working how do you roll it down to get to the bolts?
