Tolles Video Johannes! :) My Question: I ran into similar problems with those typical low end "Horns" often used in melodic techno after a drop (I hope you know what I am referring to). I use a kick and an arp bass. I only sidechain the lowend of the arp bass. I tried the following options, but I am not satisfied with them. Option 1) Arp bass is off when the "horn" hits (but then i loose the groove of the arpbass) Option 2) lowcut on the horn (but then it loses sustain because all low end comes from the arp bass) Option 3) sidechain the lowend of the horn to the low end of the arpbass (kind of works, but to avoid clipping the sidechain has to be so agressive, that it sounds basically as if I had a lowcut on the "horn"). Do you have any tipps? Or is the problem the balancing? It feels very difficult to mix this.

@@JohannesOfficial ist schon im warenkorb ;) muss aber bisl warten mit dem bestellen. nach ca 6 jahren musikpause hatte ich den letzten wochen ordentlich eingekauft. plugins und samples. natürlich auch bei pml ^^ muss aber noch vieles wieder neu im bereiche techno, peaktime, hard techno lernen. *schwitz
Is the 1/16 bass a preset from a PML pack?
Nope. It's made with Abletone Wavetable and some kick samples as wavetable sources. More infos in the course... :p
