#amazon #prime #amazonprime - Наука та технологія
'Request an invite' - Oh please Amazon, let me spend my money with you. I won't ever look at another online retailer, if you just give me this one little invite.
🤣🤣🤣
I can see why they do it: They want to make it hard for resellers and give everyone else a chance.
as someone who worked at Echo Devices Unit at Amazon, they do it to get some initial customer feedback and improve their products before releasing it to larger customer base
I absolutely love this newscaster. Her energy is what we all need, and she just tells us the details that we actually want to know!
Just a heads up that best buy will pricematch prime day deals so long as they arent sold out
Amazon Prime day never discounts anything I actually want to buy. I have maybe 200 items on my buy later list. Maybe 2 of them will have a real discount.
I rarely use Amazon again. Ebay is king

I used to be excited about Amazon Prime Days. Lots of good deals. Now, not so much.
Black Friday is the same way now. It sucks. Black Friday is now two weeks of deals and nothing on Black Friday cause all the deas are gone.
I feel like that critique could apply to almost all of Amazon. When I first started using the site about a dozen years ago, it was full of all sorts of great deals. Now you'll rarely find any.
Your loss
Amazon Prime Day deal my butt!!! I've been watching a grill long before Prime day. It has been $89.00 for awhile. It is STILL $89.00 but now it say -10$ off! How is this a deal when the price is STILL the same!! And yes I checked to see if the 10% off only applies at checkout....it does not! THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH!!!
If no one uses the Invite system, they won't do it again. Just putting that out there.
😂too late for that
I remember in 2020 prime day was in October. I bought 2 expensive electronic items thinking I got a good deal. Only to see lower prices on Amazon during Black Friday a month+ later.
That's why they changed prime day to July. Amazon noted the discounts were the same or better on black Friday.
Might as well wait for black Friday. Competition among retailers on who gives the best discount is everything. Thus, at this moment in July, there is no competition.
Reasons why I dont like "holiday/anniversary" events, it is design for people to spend money.
Aight, ima head out. Don’t need to jump through hoops for a few bones. I’ll likely buy what I see “invite only” at some other retailer just out of spite. Amazon’s success was based on taking the friction out of shopping. But now, just like my old Econ textbooks told me a monopolistic company tries to do, it goes and adds moats and friction to the prices to flex its new found pricing power.
there should be a wishlist dedicated to invites that also indicates the probability, in fact sorts it in that and even provides a graph of probability so you know where you stand. another crazy thing amazon could do is to have spinning wheels against each invite so while you are checking that wishlist, some if the invites would show spinning wheel icon. now if you hit that, it would produce a result and if that result is good, there'll be a good jump in the invite's probability.
I work at Amazon...all the Prime sale stuff I saw coming in was cheep Chinese Crap. We call it the garage sale.
Shipping to an Amazon locker is the way to go! You can pick things up at your time without worries.
I went to a fresh store with a paper coupon for 20% off, didnt know that was for all members automatically, prices seemed higher on some things though.
So, for the "Request Invite", do you still have to go out and find them? Or do you get some kind of notification? Also, Will we get a notification if the "Request Invite" option shows up on items that are in our lists?
Didn’t know about the Amazon fresh 20% discount, thanks for mentioning it!
CNET is one of the only news channels that I consider to be reputable and accurate. It will never be the same without Brian Tong. But I love seeing the same people over the years and the content they deliver.
And that’s just a Bad Apple 🍏
I love Bridget. I could watch her all day
“Request an invite” should’ve been a pre-pay option that delivers the first day of the prime day.
Man its been so long since Bridget showed up on my feed. Miss the CNET Update videos Bridget used to host.. need more videos from you!
I’ve have never shopped on any amazon prime day or got a card for myself because I only get 1 to maybe 3 items every 5 weeks not nothing large or over 30 dollars only when needed not just wanted
Is there any emergency medical care or cabins in Elk City, Idaho for sale in Prime?
Great tips, very good presentation.
I work at an Amazon warehouse. I’m happy to help people get some deals on expensive stuff. I only ask that you not order beverages. Amazon works much differently than a grocery store. Each item has to be handled many times by various people. Very dense items are the worst.
Yeah, we don’t want to carry them either…
Same stuf will be on sale Black Friday or Siber Monday.
Does Amazon have the latest edition of "The Mueller Report"? I gave my other copies to my family and their friends.
The FOREO is amazing!
Those jbl’s headphones look so cool.
Why do I get charged sales tax on my prime membership but not Costco?
I dont think this applies to the UK website
Great video! Good Tips! Thanks Bridget Carey!👍
Great tips thank you 🎉🎉🎉
The discounts are even discounts anymore. Most items I’ve seen at the same price for months and the they push the price up just before and bring it down during prime day
Amazon has really gone down hill - I was told I would get a refund on a $400 item within 30 days and if the refund didn't go through their chat reps would take care of it. At 30 days the listing changed to give us 2-3 days to return. Three days later it changed to 5-7 days. They are running us in circles. I don't see Amazon lasting very long so perhaps their Prime Day is a moot point? I won't be investing any more money in a company who can't issue a return as stated.
LOL at lottery, what even is life anymore. Just really take a pause and consider if you need/will use whatever it is before clicking away.
She is right about subscriptions- remember to cancel them when the free period expires- I was subscribing to Amazaon Prime Music for an extra $10 per mo without knowing, for 6 months! They refunded me 4 months of that, when I called them, so that was good.. just FYI.. so yes..be diligent.
Only If Adobe had a store in Bestbuy lol 🤣
As if I'm going to beg an online retailer to buy their products 😂😂
Request....F that lol 😂 plus they never have anything that I want to discount...
Prime Day has been very lackluster in the past 7 years. It’s just another bullet point to get you to subscribe to Prime and to trick you into their ecosystem.
Will they discount my tushy?
I loved this person’s energy lol
Thank you, this is helpful
It is funny that they chose a Tuesday and Wednesday, there's going to be lots of people that won't have money, they should have done it on a Thursday and Friday (paydays), is almost like they don't want to sell stuff lol
Thanks Amazon for saving me money this year. Im not going to request anything. If i cant click and buy, its not worth my time.
I am relatively new to amazon but noticed prices go up weeks before prime day..then suddenly the prime deals are just the old prices... lol so prices are actually horrible on prime day
Definitely appreciate the update, but this will deter a lot of people looking for over 10 code that someone wants to buy 10 items which is absolutely absurd
I installed the Amazon photos app and uploaded some photos to it but didn’t get the 15 dollars added to my Amazon account so I will delete the Amazon photos app!
"Request an invite" = Doorbusters a tactic to get people looking because of deals they cannot have means maybe there are ones they can. Sad but nothing that othres are not doing.
That's why they changed prime day to July. Amazon noted the discounts were the same or better on black Friday.
Might as well wait for black Friday. Competition among retailers on who gives the best discount is everything. Thus, at this moment in July, there is no competition.
This was an advertisement for Amazon.
We couldn't continue our prime membership because we have to remove our "payment method" after each purchase. Amazon has been internally compromised by organized crime. Our account was hacked for "gift cards" three times over two years for $2000+. Almost everyone we work with has had a similar experience. Since Amazon won't admit there's a problem, it would seem that it's never getting fixed.
Meh I won’t be participating this year! If I have to go through all this just to shop then it really isn’t a sale is it? Besides I’ve already got everything I need 💁🏻♀️
If it's too hard for you to cancel your Amazon Prime membership, just throw your computer away. It's literally like 4 clicks.
Eh there's no point anymore, it really bothers me you have to pay for returns now unless you purposely return due to "defective" even though it isnt. Thats the only way to get away with it because dropping off in a mailing store isnt always an option.
For some reason I feel like this request invite is a privacy issue masked by some stupid problem they want you to believe.
Excellent reporting
Prime Day: Megatron must be stopped...no matter the cost. [Cue "You Got the Touch".]🎵🎸🎹🎤
Doesn't the subscription indicate your interest by itself? I've never met anyone who accidentally set up an Amazon account...
Not a fan of invite only!! Most people don't get an invite and wasted their time or passed by another deal that is no longer available. Leaves too many people salty...
This lady makes me anxious!😅
Hey CNET are you gonna just ignore that they are doing this the same day as the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
I’m a sucker for Amazon, and I don’t mind it one bit. Been holding off my spending saving up for Prime Day for me to go buck wild
Cancelled Prime and all my other streaming services back in June, in support of WGA strike… so I guess Prime Day is now just a regular day.
Good information. Amazon is a big yawn, just more ways for Amazon to get its hooks into you.
She is so lively!!
but fire tvs are crap. nothing like amazon ads on ur tv. basically amazon trying to empty out their warehouses of old stuff that didnt sell last fiscal year.
Save your money. Invest in assets.
I would not do the photo thing, because they can then use this data in ai graphic info.
Does Whole Foods count as an Amazon fresh store?
It doesn't for that promotion. Lame.
this video is perfect!
I just want prime on sale
hopefully Amazon keeps track of the ppl who request a invite but dont buy. that way the chances of them taking a spot next time is less. like u requested like 10 items but bought only 1?
Amazon Prime: 70% off junk I wouldn’t take if you gave it to me…
The Titan submersible controller in the thumb...
This button keeps in the waiting line...I just want to rush to the store directly!! Amazon let me spend my money directly🙏
CNET has lost its way… how much did Amazon pay to have their sale items advertised in this video? 😊
"Request an invite", what a sucky idea.
Bridget is the best!
why her eyes are giving me a suspense movie vibes?
I’m the LEAST excited for a Prime Day that I’ve ever been 😢.
And I’m a die hard that has multiple Amazon devices in every room. Even all my streaming subscriptions are through Amazon & I watch them on my Fire 🔥 TV & tablet.
We won’t even talk about hire bad the delivery 🚚 📦 drivers hate me, lol 😂
3 cats 🐈 & a dog plus a teenager.
3:17 That's an illegal practice. Perhaps someone should sue?
I don’t fall for these baits, always check the all time low price from Keepa
2023 to do list:
1. Buy more amazon product
2. Install those spying gadgets
3. Let Amazon farm data of your family and you through echoes, ring, earbuds, etc
Making customers work harder to get a discount by “request an invite” is not a winning strategy. People are easily just going to look someplace else to get similar items. Not only that, many retailers price match each other to a customer’s business. Amazon needs to have to have the best deals upfront with no BS.
Amazon had a sale? Oh. I don't really care. Moving on
Dishear...
How can they get away selling fakes? Why would anyone trust this company?
If everyone is a prime user then nobody is.
No thanks, waste of my time. Prime is a waste honestly. Same with Sams Club.
Lol, seems we need someone who knows retail to run Amazon again. Like Jeff Bezos.
prime day has always been a bust, only decent deals are fire products
or IDK maybe kill the bots and control them instead of doing it like this........
Bridget is the Best! I really enjoy her realistic approach to topics she talks about with CNET. This video is another great example of how to be a smart consumer, not be consumed by corporations and their “sale price” tactics.
Team, Temu!
The best thing I ever bought at Amazon? Covert nanny cams and home publishing apps. Necessaries for all citizen journalists.
That’s some clown shyt just like the shoe game
CNET just gave me another reason to not look forward to it.
Request an invitation to buy a $100 face washer from Amazon? Child please
O yea, it's great 👍
Junk Junk and more Junk
