@@gurutyler1991 as a blind user, the photos app is still kind of relevant to me because when I select a photo I want it will tell me who is in the picture and all of the details I also have only been blind for a few years, so I’m familiar with how the world looks
@@gurutyler1991 I am also blind and the photo app is helpful for taking screenshots of graphics that have text so I can listen to what is in that graphic. However, I have started using the AI option in the be my eyes app which also does a really good job a identifying the text in a screenshot.

As a blind user with motor control issues, I use voiceover and voice control. I am most interested in whether or not dictation gets more accurate and iOS 18 and whether we can now listen to the spelling of a word that dictation has chosen because most of the time dictation makes the worst choices possible.

The only people that really use loud ringtones are.... Older people. It is always vibrate for most people. And Apple still didn't make that thing when you put a picture in one of the albums to stay there if you want to delete it from the main gallery! Android is still better at that! For example, when you move a photo from Recents to Travel album, they can then be removed from your total gallery but be kept in album gallery!

I want to find a few photos, not videos, not live , plain photos .. can I figure out how to view only photos ?? no , go into library and then media types , you would expect photos to be there but no, Live Photos, videos, screenshots, selfies, time lapse, slo-mo, cinematic, screenshots and screen recordings, but you can't view just photos in the photos app , WTF apple?
I don't fully like what they've done to the quick menu. It would've been great if they just keep the OG version and add the customization and the redesigned buttons. But the Pagination of the menu is annoying. I was used to swiping down to open the menu then swiping up the close the menu. However now I have to treat it like an app and swipe from the bottom of the screen or tap and empty space on the menu. I've used apple products for years now and it's actually a big learning curve for me. Though everything else about the update are easily appreciated.
I downloaded ios 18 on mu main phone which is iphone 15 pro max and i am so afraid but agter i after update everything is working no bugs no heat up. Its like normal but i notice everything becomes smooth and wife becomes faster. So happy
iPhone user here, pretty shameful from Apple to call this a “big update”! I get caution with complex apps & I like them for their patient long term approach and most users feel the same ! Ai is a perfect example brilliantly, executed, and worth waiting for, but having a huge segment on moving icons & colours is patronizingly embarrassing! It’s just making itself look obsolete to every android user.
All these apps resizing things and and moving them is so so old, when I first got my official Android in 2019 I have been doing these things since then.
There's no way to justify all these changes as 'upgrades' at this point. Using iOS and Android for several years, yes Android is much more cohesive and better at this point.

Absolutely. I have a LOT of Bluetooth devices and being able to hop in that list fast is a big deal for me. I use it a lot.
As a blind user/voiceover user the Photos app is an absolute nightmare to use

Bridget - you can customize all the pages of control center, and even add or remove pages if you don’t like it. Hope this helps!
