My wife and I were at this concert. It was wonderful. Our week in Sant Andreu listening to these amazing musicians was a truly wonderful experience. We hope to return this year. Thanks to Joan and all who are involved with this joyous group.
This is a beautiful moment in the growth of SAJB. The kids have mastery of their instruments already, but they still look very young. Joan, you will never know how much your jazz and your kids have meant to me and my wife during this difficult time in the US. As I watch and listen to them play their instruments, I have hope for the future.
Joan, you guys are kill'en me. The quality of the sound, the arrangements, the raw but well disciplined talent of the kids is almost a sensory overload.... Love it, great music. Trombone by John beautiful. Love when the instrument solos don't stray too far from the tune and become abstract. John's was great.
Very very rarely does Sant Andreu Jazz Band disappoint. Given that these young musicians are amazing, a good deal of credit goes Joan Chamorro - God Bless all you guys who make our souls rejoice.

I agree with Abbas Akbar - best jazz on UA-cam. Wonderful group of musicians, as professional as any I've ever heard, and I've heard the "big bands of old" many, many times. Warm and beautiful sounds. Bravo!!
I admire so much that the kids can play standards and run changes! The band is tight and rhythm section is crisp and swinging. Bravo again, Mr. Chamorro! Do I have to say that this is a great arrangement? ALL your arrangements are great!

Victor sounded great on his solo! That Clifford Brown bridge was executed perfectly but i liked the sincerity of his own notes even better! These kids are all so soulful and honest in their playing it just sounds beautiful. Excellent work Victor I look forward to more of that stuff!

Victor is killin' it... now, he's six feet tall or more...and Carla is as solid as Freddie Greene... the dream band of our times.
Smoooth rhythm during quite sections. One of my favorite 'Big Band' tunes with a difference. Some of the best sounds on the planet.
Victor and the Sant Andreu jazz band do a great rendition of this old jazz tune from the 1940s.

Joan has the Sant Andreu jazz band at peak performance while presenting this jazz tune. This is as good, if not better, than the big bands in my era.
