Rest in peace, Bill. 😢 Thanks for all the great music, and for John to carry the torch.

Great!
Thanks for watching.
Just learned of Bill’s passing. He leaves behind a great legacy.
Sad to lose Bill Allred, but so glad he left an abundance of recordings including vinyl, CDs and videos.
Great players. John has so much color and plays right in the pocket.
They complimented each other. Thanks for watching.
Great.
Thanks!
Outstanding
Appreciate your comment. Thank you.
Those guys took that song a couple of notches up! 👍👏👏👏
We certainly agree.
Pretty nice chase!
There is no comparison to Bill and John Allred!
@@applejazz3410 It's all a matter of opinion; I was referring to their point of inspiration!
Bix Fest!!!!
Yes! The 100th birthday of Bix in 2003. It was 100 degrees on that stage.
2 absolute beasts!
Thank you.
My Dad played jazz trombone , i also play jazz trombone , we never got round to recording together though , it would of been interesting to say the least. Theres quite a few Dad n Son trombonists out there.
This is top notch playing from both
Thanks for watching and for your comments.
"Orlando, Florida"???????
The Bill Allred Classic Jazz Band is from Orlando FL, but this performance was from the Bix Beiderbecke Jazz Festival in Davenport Iowa. 2003
@@applejazz3410 I know - I was there.
Oh! I thought you were asking where the band was from. So glad you were there for this performance!
@@applejazz3410 The video gives the impression that this was in Orlando - hence my reaction.
Yes, I see your point. The audio announcement was direct from Iowa Public Television, who announced each band that they recorded. However, the "Bix Lives" banner hangs above the stage and right below the video, this text appears:

Really high-level musicianship there! They make it look so easy, when it's anything but easy.
Thanks for watching!
Spectacular. Nice trombone sound!!!
Much appreciated.
Wow, this is awesome! So well arranged for the parts that were prewritten!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Such great articulation and swing!
Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching.
Damn. What a great time i had listening to this! Love to hear trombone work like this. Always hard for me to believe it can be done this well!
Thanks for listening!
Waouh!!! I'm a french trombone player and i didn't know this great performance.
I watch an listened John on UA-cam, but Father and son, what a lesson !
So pleased that you liked this video.
I'm not familiar with the french trombone, is it related to the french horn?
@@quinnparker6111 : no !! it's a "normal" trombone. I'm the owner of a King 3B and i'm a french player !! and my english is not perfect (so far!!)
@@nemonemo1841 Just making a silly joke my friend. Your english is great!
