As someone who does sports I actually prefer start/split and stop/reset the way they're on this watch. It makes more sense to me to press the biggest button on the face to trigger splits in laps.
The original watch in the 80’s had the buttons separated. I have had 3 or 4 of these over the years and I just bought another one because it is far less complicated than a smart watch and if I damage it on the job I am not out a ton of money.
Good review. I know what are you trying to say. I have the same watch and I like it so much, but really timex needs to improve a little bit more in some details. I have issue with the light display that sometimes the numbers looks less darker and you need to like adjust your wrist to get the right angle to have a darker numbers. Hope timex listen the people about what they want. Best regards
I think timex needs to put the hour in the "screen" of chronograph. Or the "screen" of timer. Because I like to see the time while I'm using the choro or timer. Like casio. Casio do that in their digital watches. Timex can make a solar version, and improve a little bit more the plastic. You still have that feeling of cheapness in timex. They need to fix that. I think you don't need to hace those things of atomic time or like 30 countries times in your watch like casio, to be honest you never use those things. Is completely useless.
bruh i had the exact same feeling - i basically want a stopwatch for my wrist, so the stop/start button should be the easiest to access
Fully agree with your wish that the start/split button should be a start/stop. Too often I find myself having difficulty resetting the time to 0....

thats my go to watch aswell but the all black one 43mm it has the words under inside the glass so they wont fade under use looks cleaner too
I’ve owned these watches for decades. About 20 years ago I bought one with a metal wristband. Very durable. Wish they would bring that back !!!
I have a timex with the occasion reminder. Very handy for upcoming important stuff.

These watches are great for kids because of that durability and water resistant.

@LuisFlores-cx8bo mine hold up well, it helps that the digital face is slightly recessed and protected by the rubber part around it.
