Nice video! And nice performance! My Vortex Wireless 2 arrived a few days ago. I am experiencing the "Hang Notes Issue". I didn't have much time to test it deeply yet. I had the impression that it is related about "how far you go from the USB dongle receiver. Not sure. I saw that a huge number of guys are experimenting the same issue. Did you experience it? What should I expect about it? Any idea if is this going to be fixed, updated? I am so confused as well about "how far can I play from the USB receiver without any issues. No information about it in ANY source on the internet. Thanks for any help.
I have a question. I own a Roland Exr-5S synthesiser with a 5-pin MIDI IN port. Provided I connect an Alesis Vortex keytar controller via MIDI cable to my Roland, can I assign sounds from the same Roland Synth patches to Alesis Drum Par buttons for a quick access? Or does this function only work with the default ones included accessed by the PC connection? If I could, are these only the general midi ones, or can I assign a MIDI number -let's say 315- so that the next time I connect my roland directly to Alesis and I press a drum button on Alesis I switch into my roland 315 Jmp Brass from the Roland Synth Library (not included in the software and not using any PC)? Thank you very much.
So I'm kind of confused. Does this need a computer to use? Are there internal speakers or something? Is there any way to use this without a computer, like for the car or on the street or something? Or does it absolutely need a computer or module to use? Also, does the same apply to the vortex wireless 2?
Hey I just got my own Wireless Vortex and on the box it says Free Exclusive Vortex-I Virtual Synth by Sonivox.com I can't find the free one they told me and I can only find the one that cost $50. Can you help me out with that?
Hi Allison, The Vortex sends standard MIDI messages. If your plug-ins listen to MIDI (and really, what plug-ins don't?) then the Vortex can control them. Thanks for watching!
blahblahblah, why the heck don't you just play on it?? The number of buttons and special effects is not remotely as important as a solid sound quality (at least for me).
