if you have absolutely no experience with electronic keyboard programs, dont have a keyboard or any other equipment but want to play the keytar. what do you suggest i do? im pretty music savy and can handle some software pretty well. i have a guitar amp.
Nice video! My Vortex Wireless 2 arrived a few days ago. I am experiencing the "Hang Notes Issue". I didn't have much time to test it deeply yet. I had the impression that it is related about "how far you go from the USB dongle receiver. Not sure. I saw that a huge number of guys are experimenting the same issue. Did you experience it? What should I expect about it? Any idea if is this going to be fixed, updated? I am so confused as well about "how far can I play from the USB receiver without any issues. No information about it in ANY source on the internet. Thanks for any help.

Can’t you make your strap longer so it wouldn’t be so awkward looking like a veloster raptor? Seems if you can extend your arm, it would be easier and more comfortable to play
can you assign the touch strip to the pitch instead of using the pitch wheel? if so does the center of the strip stay on current note and go up and down on either end you slide to? I really want to purchase this keytar for the price but for some reason i really want to use the touch strip for pitch bends. It just seems like it would be more natural.

If i don't hit the notes staccato and press them a certain way, there is barely any volume. I want to play this like I could a piano, nice and smooth, but it doesn't seem possible with this. It's a shame you can't play bass notes on the neck. On a mono synth I like to hold down a low octive key while playing, so when you take your finger off a key the note portamento bends down to the low octive key
Does anyone know how to deactivate the accelerometer permanently? When I select some guitar sound even though the accelerometer is off, when I move it starts to modulate and it is exasperating.

working on junk lawn mower(safty spring broke,while I was checking a pully,it engaged itself)(should have shut off the engine before sticking my hand in there)it went plunk,I jerk my hand out and there went 3 finger tips,but I guess it could have been worse,glad it wasn't the blade,it would have got whole hand,Thank you
I do the same thing. When I practice I'm usually in a chair, hunched over, so the Keytar is really close to me. You get so used to it, that when you stand up, if you strap it low it doesn't feel right.
Era of Operation does you're wireless dongle freak out and render it useless unless you reload the default patch library? Mine wigs out and only works with Midi out or sometimes USB. It's not distributed anymore from what I see.
I got mine through Sweetwater but it was kind of a trade for a Wurlitzer 200 that I refurbished and sold to Chuck Surack the CEO and it's being used in the Sweetwater studio!

I want a keytar with two mini keyboards- one facing away from you and one towards you joined in the middle with foot controls for the pitch bender.

Which program is used for installing sounds to keytar?
the keytar is just a midi controller--it has no sounds. you will only remote control a software synth on your computer or another keyboard

yes--the ribbon can do pitch, and yes the centerpoint is no effect and goes both up and down
You sain u directly plugged the USB dongle to the Kronos, do you think it will work same in my Korg M3?
as much as I like the Aleesis Vortex Keytar, it tends to lack a 1/4" jack for connecting to a pedal board.

hey, good video. I have a question. If this only reproduces sounds being connected to the keyboard you already have, what's the point of having it?

1. yes. I have used them with Windows 8 (and Windows 10 if you want to know too). and everything works well.
2. yes.

it works with mixcraft 7 studio, which is lucky since i was not able to download the software

areolaman Get a sound module. That's what I did. I just plug it in to a sound module. The one I use is Roland jx-03
