It's so cool to see high school buddies grow up to become successful in their own rights inside this car community. Absolute legends.
amazing how far money gets you with zero charm or like-ability
@@cliveramsbotty6077 And you just got no money and a sad life...!

A detailing podcast would be awesome BUT you already do so much. I would definitely listen if you started one up 😄. Thank you Larry, car looked incredible!
This exactly. Make your podcasts something Ammo worthy. That would be awesome.
he had one for a while, but it hasnt had an episode in a while.
Larry, I love your videos!!! When I'm having a bad day, I always watch your videos they make me happy!!!! Keep pumping another decade!!!! Well done and deserved!!!
Thanks for the support!
Hell yeah bring the Ammo Podcast back! Love every single one of them, 50 Cars at Sema, Freedom 1, Answering questions, etc, Gotta have Joe, Jason and Kevin on the first one to kick things off though lol.
Totally agree! I would love to listen to the old episodes and new ones too.
Larry I just want you to know I'm a USAF Veteran and I am currently working a full time job but you have been the biggest influence and my biggest detailing role model for my growing small business Hicks Auto Detail ( named after my grandpa's used car lot). I would love to talk to you some time if you would ever have the time to talk to me. Thank you for all your tips and guidance
Congrats to Matt on the new car! Honestly I have been watching you and Matt for 10 years now and its crazy how fast time goes by. Feels like just the other day i stumbled upon your channel and its so awesome to see how far you've come. I would love it if you brought back the podcast, would love to hear about the business side of things on the podcast too! Hope you meet you someday Larry! - Paul
Thanks so much for the support Paul!
Just as I was thinking to myself "that's a bit of a girlie colour but I won't comment on it", he took the words right out of my mouth 🤣🤣💗
The Pocast would be great…but how would find the time😂? Love the channel and appreciate your hours of hard work and instructing us on how to properly clean (drive) and protect our cars!
I think all AMMO videos are wholesome but this one is extra. Love the car. Matt did a great job and love the detail and video.
I’ve been waiting for this video to release! I recently listened to TST podcast when Matt was picking the car up. As usual, a very enjoyable listen and a very satisfying watch.
I just want to say thank you Larry! I have been a fan for years, love the the work you do, and thank you for inspiring me to open my own detail shop! We are small but the clients couldn’t be more happy, especially with all the little tips and tricks you taught me. Thank you!!
Love this car, although I'm not wild about the combo of that interior / exterior. I like both, individually. But it's Matt's car and he's the only one that needs to appreciate it. Certainly that engine is a BEAST and this car is going to rip something fierce. Can't wait for the driving videos once he gets it broken in.
Yes, would love a podcast as long as you're not working yourself into the ground!
Yea, I can't get behind the frozen berry especially with the red. But if you can buy a Porsche you deserve to do whatever you want
Agree it takes balls to decide on this color but it is insane beautiful for sure.
Once I found your podcast I probably watched all the episodes in a week. I would love it if you started that up again!
Another exceptional video....Podcast PLEASE!!!! Keep them coming Larry.......awesome!
Of course, we would love to enjoy your podcast again! I’ve listen to most, if not all of them, and glean a lot of information from them but whatever you got time for my friend!
A Mentor for detailing industry. Mr LARRY.
Larry, I can't describe how satisfying it is to whatch your videos man! Awesome job!!
Pod cast yes please it’s always filled with lots of information that I didn’t even think about I’ve gotten a lot of info that I have put to work
You have my vote on the podcast! I love all you do and sell.
Had the largest detail/reconditioning shop in a state in the 90’s. Wasn’t a auto, boat, semi, sales business that didn’t use my shop. I would probably still be doing it if UA-cam existed then. I had a lot of fun. Factory paint quality, procedures, products sure ain’t what they used to be. “Orange peel” is now SOP right from the factory.
it takes a real man to buy a mary kay colored boxster - Matt Farah has the biggest cojones in the automotive world
STUNNING! OMG best looking car at the moment, the 718 spyder is better looking than the 991 speedster, mid engine 4 liter, 6 speed manual, 8k rpm its insane driving machine but did i say its looking insane beautiful. Even better than a 991 Speedster as dimensions are fabulous perfect. Beautiful color just stunning and different as i am a big fan of the Miami Blue but now not so sure.
So awesome to see Larry & Matt driving Porsche’s and making car content all these years later. Keep up the great work!
Honestly I've been wanting to email you about my friends 1978 Chevy Malibu, it really needs a good detail and definitely needs some love to the interior.
Yes, Larry please start up the podcast again. Only if you can fit it in your life. You’re already a busy guy with a demanding schedule and a successful business, don’t forget the family aspect. We will watch and love everything you do regardless.
Thanks for taking us on your journey with you.
Well said!
Larry should be the host of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” rebooted.
What a car and what fantastic detailer Larry is.
That color is growing on me. Not sure I could pull it off - car looks fantastic in whatever color, I'm sure. nice work as always Larry!
the knocking dirt off your shoes before getting into the car gets to me.
i've said that to a couple of people when they want a ride, and the responses are just aggravating, hearing things like it's not a nice car, it's an old car and so on has me sitting there like but it's my car and i'm the one that has to clean it
It's funny to see that when Matt walks in, he says what's up and immediately talks about the car. I love his enthusiasm.
It would be interesting if you could get a tour of the new car paint process, everything done from initial application to customer delivery, to figure out where some of these things happen.
damn those exhaust are insane and beautiful! i love hearing the "roar" sounds. i don't like pink colors on cars but this is a really interesting mix you got there so i really like it!
I managed several different detailing crews at our various dealership accounts back in the late 90's through the early 2000's the shipping protection on Mercedes was a pain in the you know what!! Specially black peeling off the white film left chucks of glue all over.... Also on the bumpers they put what looked like cheese cloth man that was worse than the white paper lol.. Awesome video as always Larry!!
Also Larry 100% it's condensation that gets trapped under the white paper and seeps into the clear
For sure start up the Pod again! Your episodes on TheSmokingTire are some of my favorites
YES, detailing podcast please!
Hahaha, no joke, I have used the "Larry move" since I started watching him in like 2015! 🤣🔥 GORGEOUS SPYDER
Matt is hilarious. Bring him around more often.
When I saw this colour for the Cayman GT3 I was intrigued until I saw it in person. It’s going to be a rare colour but I think it’s for good reason.
So after watching your channel for about a year now, I've finally learned that your name is Larry.... so thank you, Larry!
Totally agree with Mat's analysis of the car in the end. This guy knows his stuff! Thanks to you Larry for another great video.
Amazing video LK!!!!! That 718 is on a different level and your cleaning too, was on a different level. Congratulations brother!!! Also, the music at the outro of the video is a banger. Can you mention the name of it?
Matt’s laugh while driving to me says it all. Congratulations Matt‼️
Yes, Larry! We miss your podcast
Bravo, Larry!
Complimenti, Matt!
Smoking Tire, folks, if you don’t watch Matt’s content already.
Larry! What watch are you wearing in this video?
Definite yes to the podcast!
At first, when I heard about the engine, I thought it sounded like a small displacement V8 engine with what sounded like an X pipe. Almost reminded me of what NASCAR stock cars sounded like back in the late 90s with that distinctive whine like noise. Kinda baffled me, just sounded like that at low RPMs.
Yes, Larry! Would love to see the detailing podcast make a return for sure!!
Yes please, your podcasts were amazing!!!
Congrats on having no spam comments! It's so refreshing haha
The color of the car made total sense when I saw the California license plate 😂
Great video Larry. There better be a swimming cayman sticker on there somewhere to commerate those lost in transit! Haha!
What an incredible color! Amazing to see how much detailing work can be done to improve on a brand new Porsche
Since 2012...Damn Larry don't make me feel old like that.
ZP8: 04.07.2022. ZP8 is "Zaehlpunkt 8" which is the eighth counting point of the assembly line, located at the end of the line. All stated differently, the cars birthday is the Fourth of July.
The backstory with you and Matt is the best, you guys are a great compliment to each other. I thought of Matt’s safari car when I saw this color. I love the color, it’s different. It seems like all the new cars are white, black, or red.
Great video, as for the podcast do what allows you the most bang for the buck. There is only so much time in the day and family always comes first. Looking forward to you ordering a similar spec car.
Also, I think Matt’s original car was on the ship that sank…..what a wait for a killer machine.
Yes love to have your podcast Larry
Yeeesssss to the podcast starting again!
I’d listen to a detail podcast from Larry, not sure where he will find the time to do one though. If I had enough free time I’d love to do a thorough detail on my vehicle. Work and kids eats into that time 😅.
Love this! The “Larry move” and the call back clip was great! And OMG! Yes!!! Bring back the podcast. I cant be the only detailer that listens to podcasts all day to pass the time.
I love the paint color but the interior doesn’t go with it. Not sure what would look better but definitely not that.
I was gonna say the interior colour doesn't match!
Black with white stitching would of been much better
Tan/beige interior would’ve matched the exterior. And then change the red breaks for body colored breaks and the top to tan as well. Really, the exterior is cool but mixing pink and red is a Valentine’s Day spec and I assume Matt was stoned when he bought this
Curious Larry if you have any comment on the Lake Country Pad Washer 4000 for cleaning pads, versus blowing them out? Also a side note, you are one of the few detailers I see online that wear PPE, especially a mask. Have you ever covered this in detail in a previous video? Maybe a future one?
This is one of those love it or hate it specs
Correct. I'll go for the latter.
I think it would be really fun just to hang out at Matt's garage and see his collection.
Matt’s zip jumper has the same colour scheme as the character Mirage, in the new transformers rise of the beasts trailer, who turns in a Porsche coincidentally
Fantastic colours.
Hey Larry, just wondering what impact the PPF will have on the fresh paint where in this case it may not be fully "gassed out".
The clear side markers looked great on that car, especially compared to the orange!
Great work, Larry! When can we see you work on that Volvo 850R? Fab content as always.
You should use glue remover after stickers removal. Razor blade on new car isn't best option.
8:46 oh sweet Lord YES! I know it sounds stupid but it bothers me so much to see all those pesky, cheap looking orange reflectors on cars in the US and Canada. They look like those pesky reflectors for bicycles and do NOT BELONG on Porsche and other luxury cars.
I'd rather have more detailing videos than a pod cast.
You already do so much, Larry! But if you brought back the podcast, I would listen. Another fantastic job on the car. Love that color!
I can’t wait to see it when the HRE’s get installed
Love the fact you highlighted ‘modified’ as a hark back to his show on the Drive network back in the day. Awesome content as usual Larry, totally enjoyed listening to you on his podcast too! 🎉
Wow, just wow, how you can make a new car look even better. Would love to have you do my brand new ‘23 2500HD Silverado High Country. I already noticed some factory imperfections on it pearl white tri-coat paint.
Larry, where do you normally blow your pads out too? Do you normally blow them out into the open like that or is that just for the camera? It seems like that would make a huge mess to clean up later?
With that exhaust thats the closest I have heard a water cooled Porsche sound like an old air cooled one.
i love to see this channel and other detailing cars channels. for me it's like a dream, i clean my car in self service car wash and it's bad: with no roof, no foam, only soap pressure water and rinse water. i try to do my best but it's not... perhaps one day i will do a video on that... and of course - Yes!!! i will love that you do your detailing podcast again!
I have a Frozen Berry Metallic GTS 4.0, one of a couple made in 2022.
She great on the road, awesome on track and a pleasure to look at.
Great job derailing this beauty for Matt.
Cheers
Yes. Please do the podcast.
loved your podcast
Yeah those squiggly lines on the PTS Porsches are a pain. Worked at a dealer a few years back and we used a heat gun to melt/blend the lines into submission. That was a recommendation from a factory Porsche rep.
Did that only happen to PTS Porsches in your time there?
Hey Larry, I noticed that the pads just velcro onto the actual tool. Have you ever had a pad come off of the tool while polishing and cause you to damage the paint by accident? Is that something a detailer should be concerned about and/or at least have in the back of their mind?
Yes I think its happened to every detailer. I've had pads literally explode in half while polishing before. Luckily never caused any damage when it happens.
Its never happened to me. i usually will stop using a pad if I'm not confident the back end of the pad will stick to my polisher.
So basically its not the same power to weight ration as a GT3 but its more power to weight ratio 😂 that is a beautiful car and as always an awesome video!
Such a sick detail! Would you know how Matt requested for the dealer to leave the car like this for delivery? Feels like the best way to avoid any sketchy dealer washes.
You can request it. Most delears are cool about it as their still going to charge you for the pdi. Plus the delearship detailer will love you for it as it's 1 less car for them to clean. You can also request them to not install the front license plate bracket for y'all that live in those states
@@wesd991 Good to know about both of those! Especially that front license plate comment since I saw someone post a video with a misaligned front plate on a Ford Lightning.
love the outside color! idk about the interior color.
So I've been listening to your podcast for a while and was thinking about seeing if you would be interested in starting that up again. I listen to it when I'm at work. It's awesome, hilarious and educational.
Absolutely beautiful color.
I've never seen such a beautiful spec ever from Porsche
Really? I think it looks awful. I have nothing against frozen berry or bordeaux .. but together? No thank you.
Larry what are your thoughts on the safeness of black sponges for washing? Mainly the black sponge and the Kamikaze Hagakure Wash Sponge 2.0
I much prefer to drive than clean, but I also love having a clean car and watching your videos always makes me go out and clean mine (I have a plain-jane white 718 Spyder ;)). I'd love to see some tips, etc. for the best methods when living in an apartment and things like "hoses" are tough to come by. I recently sold my house and am living in temporary housing and it's killing me that my only options are the local pressure wash place!
I work at Subaru and detail all the new cars that come in straight off the trailer. those white paint protector sheets are a pain sometimes. I feel like they do more harm then good. i've had plenty of times where the glue from the sheets will bind into the clearcoat or scratch it when you take them off. you have to be super carful with those!
I loved listening to the podcasts and would absolutely love to have you bring them back, so long as it wouldn't add too much to your workload.
This was a great video. When I get my next new car, it's coming to you first! And I love Matt Farah. One of my favorite car guys.
Keep up the great content Larry! Always love seeing Matt and you pick right back up despite being on opposite ends of the country
The 718 spyder is so expensive. Wish I can afford to upgrade from my 987.2 one day.
Nice Spyder. Hopefully you will have an opportunity to detail the new 911 Dakar in the studio!
Larry, it is a strawberry shortcake for sure! Great job man!
I’m not going to spend six figures on a car and have to shift gears like I’m in a 1996 Nissan Sentra.
I guess I'm a boring person. I would never even consider that color but Matt loves it and that's all that really matters!!
If I was your neighbor... I would have a UA-cam channel of the cars that enter and exit your property.
