The King James is about 95% Latin Vulgate? Is that really what Dr. Ruckman meant to say? Does anyone know? I would of thought it would have been the other way around.
I have always heard that the Vulgate text is 50% the same as the KJV, as Jeronimo was partially based on the Vetus Latina, which is the oldest translation of the Textus Receptus.
I like Ruckman's old sermons but the KJV is not 95% Vulgate as Ruckman states near the end. One only has to read both to very quickly determine it's more like 50 to 60 percent. That percentage was a bad choice on his part.
