Homemade golden syrup is actually also so great for homemade mooncakes! I used to make my own all the time just bc we don't have it here in the states!
When I saw the flapjack recipe I wondered where you go the golden syrup from, haven't watched it yet as I couldn't find the syrup anywhere. I'll have to make both now. :)
I have used Korean syrup but a slightly different taste. you will love both these recipes, let me know how it goes. A few people have already sent me photos and their flapjack looked amazing.
