how are the Commander III's holding up? I just bought a 2017 Fat Boy S that has a fresh set of Commander III's installed. I have always used Soft, sporty tires on my cruisers, just because I ride them hard and aggressive. But I also ride a lot and in all weather, so the soft rubber, while good at cornering and speed, it was lacking in wet weather and milage.

In my experience, the Pilot 5s aren't as good as the older models and don't get the long life they used to. They get squirmy and wear poorly with age. I switched to the Battlax T31 two years ago and although they ride a little rougher and might not be as good in rain, they cost 30% less than the Michelins, they corner as well and have a longer life. I have over 10 000 aggressive kilometers (I wear my tires evenly almost to the edges) on my set of T31s and they have little to no wear.
