I took my stock sway bar off without disconnecting the end links from the bar. The bar will rotate in the clamps(if not just loosen them) so you can keep it all together and save some time during disassembly.
Thanks for the tip. There are a several ways complete any install, this is just one of the suggested ways and simply a guide for how to do it that way. Nothing wrong with deviating from this install guide if you find there is a quicker or better way to get the job done!
I just picked up this bar and installed it. The washers that are now included are significantly thicker than the ones used in this video. The video shows 2-3 threads showing and on my current installation I cannot get any threads to show unless I leave off the washers which, of course, wouldn't be correct. Additionally, the mounting holes were not big enough for the bolts to go through. I had to use a file and drill bit on all six wholes to open them up enough for the bolt to fit.
If Were to back my 07 IS350 onto a set of med height ramps; would that mimic being on the ground... or allow me to adjust the preload on the bar correctly? Would It represent being on the ground "enough" to get an accurate adjustment on the ends? I'm lowerd on 20'' wheels and its very hard to get under the car on the ground. Thanks for all the help!! If your careful that there is no pre tension on the bar nothing will happen. You just don't want it pulling up or down on one side or the other before it's sitting on the ground. Because on some cars one side of the suspension may droop more than the other you can have an uneven load when it's back on the ground. Since these are super high quality turnbuckles they are easy to adjust when on the ground after the install also. You can simply remove the nut from the stud that goes through the bar after it's sitting on the ground and if you can slide the end link stud in and out of the hole easily then you are good to go. If not just crack the jam nuts loose on the turnbuckle and rotate one way or the other till it's sliding in and out freely then tighten everything back down.

Probably would have been best to connect both sides of the new sway bar before tightening everything down... Also your instructions are quite a bit more detailed then what you just showed. You didn't lower the car on jack stands putting the weight of the car to load the suspension and adjust the turnbuckles like it says you should. This leaves me a little confused because I get the feeling I installed my swaybar incorrectly.
Your tip about looserning the Control bar bolt in order to remove the links helped me a lot. Thanks.

Yes that would work perfectly and be the same as if it were sitting on the ground

You should have the weight of the car on the wheels before you do the end link adjustment, 4 post lift.

at 4:40 we do recommend lowering the car down to finish the install of the end links. For the sake of the video it was done on the lift.
Can I sneak one of these on a 2015 3is?
will this fit on the 2014 Is series?
not sure on that, we have not tested it on that vehicle. It's possible but no way to tell for sure without actually trying it.
