Knowing dark elves they would probably murder each other over who gets the biggest room on the black ark so making them big ensures there are less conflicts i guess idk

10:00 I think the most powerful ability in the game is something that is consistent and allows you to either ease the early game or make you unstoppable. sure deleting a faction is cool but it takes time to get and you can only do it once, meanwhile stuff like Malakai's adventures give you factionwide buffs for the whole campaign. the most op ability in the game to me is probably either skarbrand's movement replenishment shenanigans, or Taurox's rampage system perhaps ; going fast allows you to get a lot of money, experience for two of the best combat lords in the game, and snowball out of control (my taurox experience is pretty limited and I think he got nerfed in game 3 so I might be wrong here, but Skarbrand's movement stuff is what makes him among the best if not the best faction in the game).
edit : there is also some detriment to blowing up a faction you're fighting, since this cuts you from a lot of battles, experience and gold, and also makes you unable to profit from the high level settlements
I think there is a delay between casting and when the spell lands and it is different for each ability. so cast one then while it is going off cast the next do it right an they seem to land close together timewise. Or the AI cheats
this is one of the most enjoyable campaigns in a while!

That was my first Eshin campaign.
Was allied to Grimgor and we killed the Ordertide. And at the end, I blew up Grimgor and got the long victory.
