On the Monster Hunts: It's usually one of the option- dilemma moments that break. If you can reload and choose the one that doesn't break it, it can work. Trying to remember the one that broke your last campaign, and I think it was one where you could pay for info from trappers or something.

Looks like its time for MA's annual reminder that the Norscan faction is actually playable. Its a shame they haven't been touched because I like there units. There's just something fun about being a faction of angry Vikings with Mammoths and weaponized furries in the Warhammer world.
I think our definitions of playable may differ. Poor Norsca
@@MonstersAbound To be fair I meant playable as in their an option when you start a new campaign. Also back in Warhammer 2 I would sometimes just kill a faction leader instead of confederate because after that island was added with the Naki DLC if you confederated it, the High Elves and Bretonnia would suddenly know you exist and declare war instantly.
Yea norsca is actually a fun faction to play. They just need new factions. I love using their monsters. They have more varied units than any other faction, or on par with the them at the very least......heavy infantry, chariots, monsters, beasts, giants, dragons, skirmish cav, missile troops, special lords on after certain conditions are met
Is the monster hunt mechanic just randomly breaking still a thing? That's why I haven't touched unmodded norsca since game 2.
Granted I don't think I've run less than 100 mods since like 3 months after IE dropped so I wouldn't play unmodded any faction nowadays, but they're the only ones I actively strive to change the base mechanics of.

If you dont know bodvar is the 2nd bad guy of the 2nd vermi tide game and the skittergate bot is because in that game it's what he was gonna use to flood the empire lands with chaos from the heart so yeah cewl lore......love your vids man cant wait to see more especially ur modded stuff

If one of the options was *actually* to Vassalize the defeated tribe, I think that might have some uses because I know people enjoy utilizing a bunch of vassals. But as it stands the other two options are just traps of "do nothing"
You like throwing pointy sticks and setting things on fire, imagine spear with Molotov Cocktail at the tip, or some type of incendiary explosive.
I would imagine nurgles smell would be rottern kippers mixed with 15 year old eggs with a hint of maggots and the waders from an avid fisherman that has been fishing for 2 days straight on a side note also what monsters feet smell like on a hot summers day 😁
When you are taking settlements, you get the option to give it them to clan fester if you feel like keeping your vassal alive, honestly, just give them all the places you can’t settle or you don’t want

The norscans actually have a huge amount of varied units. Norsca needs a buff not a rework. They need a huge economical buff and more factions. I use a 50% reduced upkeep mod that maked norsca an absolute blast to play.
They do need a rework. Mechanic wise to match the new corruptions and stuff maybe let them upgrade marauders to the God versions and such
