You can hold your pen any way you want to! Surely the 'correct way' is whatever works for you and what is comfortable? People are too quick to criticise when I bet they can't letter half as well as you can! Keep doing what you're doing - you produce gorgeous lettering. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
@@HowtoHandLetter every tuesday at 9pm pacific MrMgWard does a live stream and I have me some sleepy time tea and my writing looks amazing I highly recommend unless you are super sensetive to melatonin I would have some at night and not try to strugglebus it through the day just ... keep that in mind :)
Chai tea is traditionally made from black tea and spices, so you're likely still getting caffeine that way! Black tea has as much caffeine as a shot of espresso, and more if you steep it for a longer time. Green and white tea also have caffeine, so if your aim is to go caffeine free, herbal tea/tisane is the way to go. I second the sleepytime tea suggestion, especially the peach one. And wow, people really have an opinion on everything!
Yes, thank you! I really love black tea also (with a little milk & sugar :) so I wish it were decaf, but I suppose I will just keep to the herbal teas for the time being! Maybe I will keep black tea/chai as a treat! In the summer, I grow chamomile & lemon balm and love using that as tea, too! Thank you for the suggestions!
@@HowtoHandLetter Ooh those two are some of my favorite herbal teas, must be so much nicer when you know exactly where they've come from! I wonder if there is such a thing as decaf black tea, if they do it for coffee maybe they do it for tea as well.. I know what I'll be googling haha!
@@HowtoHandLetter I think anything to do with handlettering, being a creative in general, finding your personal style, turning your lettering skills into a business, creating for Instagram or random chats!
You have to be comfy with how you hold the pen. You do you. You letter beautifully so do change for anyone. I like a Tul ink pens but never have tried the color ones. Thanks so much for the letter along. 😊
I teach primary/elementary school kids and I reckon I have seen all the variations of pen/pencil grip by now. Writing is not a natural activity, so there's no "correct" way to hold your pen. My grip alternates between 3 or 4 ways. The only matter for comment here is whether your hand gets tired or not. Keep doing what you're doing and don't apologise to anyone for how you do it!

I hold my pencil/pen the same way you do. There's other things to worry about than to judge someone on how they hold their pencil/pen!
I agree! Do you!
Haha yes! You're so right!
sleepytime tea is amazing for the soul
Oh, thank you! I will have to look for that one!

Wish I could’ve seen how you do your strokes instead of the top of your hand after the stroke is done.;-(

Thank you so much! And that is good to know about the TUL pens! Maybe my first was a bad batch or something!
Your handwriting is pretty lovely 🥰
I hold my pen similar to you. We can't help how we write or hold a pen. Sheesh! Lol!
Did you buy the individual zebra sets or the 36 pack? I’m wondering if the 36 pack has the full color selection..
Hello! I first bought the Bright Light set to see if I liked them & then I went back and bought the 36 pack! Thanks for watching!
Where did you get the gold paperclip?
Hello! I believe I got mine at Hobby Lobby, but I just searched "gold binder clip" on amazon and a bunch came up! Thanks for watching!
