My AOD died today. No forward gears. Time for the manual swap I've been talking about for the last year. Wish it would of done it before Winter.🙁🙁 The life of a poor Fed Ex driver. Stuck driving the 7.3 with the leg press clutch until I get it fixed.
I, have a friend with an 04' Ram SRT, 6 speed, regular cab, shortbed pickup. He, bought it, at 1 year old. Only, bolt ons. It's, a fast, great handling, great stopping truck! Pretty amazing actually, for what it is!
This manual swap had been done before. About 15yrs ago. Featured in muscle mustang & fast fords. It's a shame there wasn't more done like this over the years.
I’ve thought about digging into swapping my gen 1 lightning to a manual. I’ve seen a couple done, but not really sure how in depth it is. It would be a huge improvement I’ve the E4OD that came stock. Beautiful truck he has there.
Love the lightnings. Bought one in TN years ago, trans let go before i got home (in Kentucky) returned it. Bought a new Mineral Gray 2003 cobra in May of 2002. Divorce sucks.
love the channel, content, and how you break down a lot of what you do so it's more of a straight forward process. I know your manly a fox body channel, But I feel it would be great if you did bring some diversity to your channel, different ford builds would be wicked!!!! Especially a 6spd lightening build!!! Keeping banging those gears and knocking out great vids.
Hi I have a 1990 fox body Mustang with a 302 I've been having issues with the car it keeps wanting to spit and sputter and die out on me every time it rains. The car runs perfectly fine when it's not raining but as soon as it rains it starts acting up was wondering if anybody have had these issues with their car and if anyone would know what could be geting wet and causing this to happen
Nice video bro! Neo have you ever had tps voltage to go from .85 to .90 to 65 foxbody is going crazy. I’ve changed tps checked grounds changed computers. From one fox to the other. Thinking it’s the wire harness smh.
Those trucks still look great 20+ years later.
Agreed
Very cool truck, love that blue. For sure a Gen.2 SVT Lightning F150 is a bucket list vehicle for me. Very well
done truck.

Beautiful awesome Truck! Thanks for sharing that with us. Thanks Dan, and thanks Tyler.
Hopefully this year as I build my motor I'll get a transmission to hold the power and maybe catch up with you at the track.
Love those lightning trucks.

Hot rodding is still alive outside of all the new A.I cars
Don't do it Dan keep pushing the Cobra
Did they say how much power the truck makes?
450-500?

Thx. Make sure the tps Is seated properly
You should definitely build a first gen Lightning or at least a clone of one
If I spent the time and money it would almost have to be a Gen 1 original
Do it!!! 😂 I have a 1993 red 1st gen I just did a bunch of work to.
Manual or nothing
