I have pickled watermelon rind for many years. My critique is NOT a criticism but rather an observation. If you combine water and vinegar to boil, the water boils at 212°F while the vinegar at 244° F. The end result, concentrated vinegar. Also, puree the watermelon to add instead of water creating the best pickled rind you've ever tasted. If you want pickle-like crunchy rind, and a tea bag or preferably a couple of bay leaves to the jar. Nice starter video. Thanks for spreading the word.
@@peopleonthego1 Have you heard of Pastor Van Moody? Moody Ministries? I just started working with them. So blessed. Now I can’t help but think that I clicked on your video for a reason today. Of course anyone that lives to make pickled watermelon rinds have to be an amazing person.
Pastor this is my first time seeing your channel. Pickled watermelon rind is so good. Just one suggestion please don't use your brine to clean the top of your jars as it has sugar in it and will affect your seal. Especially if one stores it on the shelf. Of course I'm sure the pickled watermelon rind will be eaten quickly.
Maria, you absolutely can. I like the crispy texture from storing in the refrigerator, but storing for later by using the water bath technique will work too.
You can! The consistency will have more of a softer taste. The crispy taste comes from storing in the refrigerator. Try the water bath. Let us know how you like it🤗.
Thank u very much bless you for sharing this video

You’re welcome 🥰. Enjoy!!
Can you re use the brine?
I never have, but I don’t see why you couldn’t 🤗.
I will lactoferment instead of pickle.
Same way as Sauerkraut with 6-20 grams unrefined salt per 1 liter of brune or 1 kg of produce.

Why can't these be waterbathed? I have little space in the fridge. Thanks for this video!

I had to cut mine smaller, and it was a few weeks before I felt like they werent hard.
Amount of red pepper corns and corriander? I must have missed that.
Hi. It’s in the description too 😊
Aldi has the best AC vinegar...nummie
I’ve have to try Aldi’s AC vinegar
Why remove green? No need?
Oh yeah, I forgot- grape leaves work just as well as bay or teabag.
Annoying tinny music
