- F.C. Christmann was a German fencing master who served in the war in Napoleons army and taught the core of what he learned of sword fighting when he went back to Germany. We already had a look on the Haupthiebe, cuts to the arm and leg and also some Nebenhiebe and Zwischenhiebe. Now we add the curved cuts In German: Schlenkerhiebe. These ar the last cuts in our arsenal.
Schlenkerterz, Schlenkerquart, Schlenkerprime und Schlenkerseconde
This kind of military sword fighting is different then fighting scenes you will see in cinema when it comes to pirate or cavalry movies.
If you want to join us, Mispeldorn is located in Aachen Germany
We are one of the finest clubs for smallsword and sabre if you are looking for a different kind of weapon in HEMA. Maybe you are interested to join our study group for cane, staff and Savate or just come for a visit!

If you know something similar from other systems; let me know 🙂
Schlenkerhieb, was für ein klasse Name!
Sehr deutsch 😄
Oh...oh my💚
That is what most people ask for after they have a quick look into the book, because its 'interesting' 😅
This one I didn't fully understand, do you try to sneak the cut under the saber? Would it work better against a "regular" guard, like third or fourth? Cheers
That's what I was afraid of 😅
The Prime and Second will be easier to understand in the upcoming combinations but you may have a look at an old short clip. Plz tell me if this is somewhat better 😃

But indeed - I never tought about it - the cut for it's own would work very well against a Terz guard 👌
Where can I find this wonderful cutting diagram so I may use it with my students (Heartland HEMA) as we explore FC Christmann?
If you want to, I could Mail you the pdf on

And you can print it on your own 🙂
