Kudos to Rivals developers for making the single most intense racing experience I've ever had to date. Yesterday, I booted my old PC to play it and it was still as intense as ever.
NFS Heat with Heat level 5 is brutal too, I'm still sad that it's already dead... I liked Rivals too, and the police pursuits weren't that insane, atleast from what I remember.
Most Wanted 2005 hands down has the best cops ever featured in a videogame. Top notch quality police chatter, the different heat levels and the fact you can never predict them making each pursuit unique in its way.

I'm already downloaded TDU2 a week ago and police pursuit is very weird in this game, especially the physics and logic, you're actually only to survive for the specific time to evade the pursuit
It was the same in TDU1 as well. You literally needed to avoid the cops entirely and just drive... otherwise you'd come to a complete stop almost every time.
Once you get to the second island, there’s an area in area 3, that makes cop chase life so much easier. The car that you get, for escaping enough pursuits without arrest, is one of the best in its class, so it’s worth racking up the victories. Also, consider a Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The off-road abilities of the car IRL, were coded in.
one thing I really like about High Stakes is that the PS1 version has the option to change the language of the police radio to the language of the country the track is located in
Man I miss how cop cars had more detail in older games, or so it seems, especially like on Midnight Club, I love the sirens they used too lol, also on The Crew the lights look cool
Crazy right because the standard police cruiser in gta5 is so terrible it crumples easily and the Police decal on it is so plan but the old version version based off the charger and crown vic I prefer and love the character they have
People who never played Rivals will not know the fear of dozens of cops driving the Veyron, Agera, One:1, and the Venom GT chasing after you with deadly pursuit tech equipped.
I hate the police in TDU1. At level 3, they're impossible to outrun, and when you go offroad, they don't chase you but the wanted level doesn't decrease

I’ve had a Level 2 upgrades Merc Gullwing that I bought for $405,000, and sold back to the guy for $497,250. Stock refresh seems to be tied to the first vehicle on the list (normally C3 class), so you’ll need to switch islands, if the first vehicle on the list is a Zero Upgrades. You can take a chance on Zero Upgrades, if the vehicle is 10% under showroom price, which is the lowest the UCD goes, but even if you profit, it’ll be no more than 1k in profit normally.
tbh I hated a lot of things of NFS Rivals, but T-bone other Racers or Cops in that game felt SO DEAAAMN GOOOOOD, almost as good as in the burnout games or un flatout

Asphalt 9 has one of the most intense police chases due to the fact that police cara are literally the fastest in the game. so I think you should have also featured that.
Best AI police imo is Midnight Club L.A. Although they’re not hardcore bloodthirsty savages like NFS Rivals, or very strategic like NFS Most wanted, they’re more realistic in terms of how you have to maintain the speed limit, stop at a light when you’re nearby them, and even getting pulled over.
They also teleport, if you’re too fast. I’m serious, take a Ducati 1098R or a fully upgraded Exotic out for a spin sometime, get in a cop chase, stay as fast as you can go, and keep an eye on your map.

Kinda sad to see racing games with cop chases becoming rare after 2014. Need for Speed is currently the only one that has it, Midnight Club and Driver are long dead, and The Crew 2's wasn't even real cops. Not too sure if Solar Crown will have them when the first two TDU games did.

Always feel sad, just want to do street racing in my games but they keep making games where you have to run away half the time. May be for other folks but never was for me could do 2 or 3 races in thr time it can take to get away from cops in these games

In midnight club 3, if u stop the car, the police will only stop near u. Never bust u. They are programmed to just chase u
