It was an absolute honor to do your extensions girl! I can’t wait to see you in a few weeks for a move up!
You did an awesome job they look so natural!! im definitely getting these done💜
i loved it!!
You did an amazing job !!!
Lmao I just read, it was an absolute horror doing your extensions! I was like her hair must be difficult lmao
@@EliseDFENS lol OMG, I was like did I put horror?!? 😂 no doing her hair was awesome
If I had a client who liked to color themselves, I'd have zero problem putting the hair in for them, however I'd maybe make them sign a waiver just in case they ruined the hair ar home. Not saying you would lol, just in general
I mean she’s a cosmetologist. I think she understands the situation
@@lex9499 yeah she is, so you would think the stylist who refused knew that info and would know she knows what she's doing
I’m a photographer and I 100% agree with a waiver. As an artist you want to protect your art. I ask that clients not edit my watermarked photos themselves. However , I would feel differently if a fellow trusted photographer asked to edit my work.
@@andie3448 when I have a color correction, a first time fashion color client, or a first time extension client, I actually do have them sign a waiver. The integrity of their hair is my top priority.
@@andie3448 when I worked for benefit, they had our clients sign one every single time because who knows what products people are using on their skin that could react with the wax. So if they sign it and their skin ripped, we technically weren't responsible because it was on the waiver.
Girl, all your outfits are special and unique. Love your outfits when you put them together. Your hair is amazingly beautiful and natural.
Thank you 🖤🖤
this is really interesting for me! Usually when I’ve seen/gotten sew-ins there’s a lot less leave out and more rows
I think it all depends on the thickness of your natural hair 🖤
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!! You've been talking about getting your sew ins for a minute, and I've been chomping at the bit for it! Also you're such a cute client, getting gifts and treats for stylist!! 💕
Looks perfect. I have “health issue” and my hair has been getting thinner slowly and it’s driving me nuts! I’ve been thinking about extensions and this just has me SOLD! 🥰 looks great!
22:12 that was so adorable, you can see how much he adores you,
I want sew ins sooooo baaadddd
I cannot wait for you to color these bad boys! They came out so beautifully
I love your style👽 and the makeup for this vid is impeccable 🙌🏼😩
Thank you 🖤
Love love love ❤️ .
as a stylist for over 20 years, I truly look forward to watching your videos . Your hair always looks amazing! And I wish you luck and success taking care of your hair extensions.
I’m so happy you very able to find her to do your extensions. It’s so nice to have a choice and to get things done for you by likeminded people. It’s a whole another experience when people involved are on the same page 😍 can’t wait to see dyeing process on this new hair ✨
I tip my stylists and servers ALWAYS!!! I've been told I over tip, the thing is, I could NEVER do either of those jobs as I don't like people enough.
BISSSHHHH that makeup is insane I love it on you
Omg, I can’t believe you brought her gifts. 😭 that’s so sweet!
Thank you for sharing your experience, as someone who's totally unfamiliar with extensions it's very interesting. I like the idea of getting extensions because I miss my long hair but I don't think I could ever spend that much money on it honestly.
so excited to finally see how they came out and the experience :D
I start cosmetology school this month
I had sew in extensions and it was the best decision i ever made! Took me like 2 minutes to style my hair for work. Highly recommend !
Did the extension made styling easier for u? Why? How?
@@sophiebell4758 for sure! i work full time and putting in clip extensions everyday was too time consuming. sew ins are pricey but worth it because it cuts styling time in half. they aren't as visible compared to clip and tape ins, and were super light on my head too.
@@kararench1897 ah okay. But the time difference was because u already did some kind of Extensions?
I had a little hope that "normal" styling would get better with them too, yet i couldnt explain how that should work :)
Thank u for your answer
rewatching this video because your videos are a huge comforting presence in my life, and omg 22:13 HES SUCH A CUTIE BABY lol "are you good??"
I wish more people had your attitude about how they treat stylists because I just started at a salon and wow people can be rude 😅
The stylist did a awesome job and the hair is really blending well.❤
You are so very sweet. That's thoughtful of you to pick her up this decorations
I understand salons having to mark up the hair to make a profit, but the pricing seems like you’re paying twice as much as the actual cost of the hair which sucks
You are such a sweet and generous person.love your outfit, lookin’ like a snack!
I want to learn to do my eye makeup like Aislinn. I just love how it makes her eyes look so big and bright
I love that your videos are always posted at my lunch time :)
Can we just talk about mimi for a second please, cuteness overload!!!!
Agreed! Take care of your stylist!!! I was only an assistant BUT I was relied on for alot! And I had to wash clients and I'll tell you there's so many clients that would be like "no keep washing my hair", " scrub my scalp harder", "your not doing it right!!", So many people were Soo nasty and then at the end they'd give like a 2 dollar tip. Like what??? So I couldn't even imagine being an actual stylist!!!!!!
I miss my hairstylist so much! I have always tipped her so much money money. I totally agree about the tipping. Thank you so much for this video.
It’s the location I live in NYC getting a sew in is under $250 but of course there are more salons and stylists to choose from
You essentially got a “braidless” sew in! It’s almost a type of micro link hair style. Either way it looks amazing!!!
Braided is when your hair is braided in horizontal rows against your scalp, and those are what the extensions are sewn into, right? Or am I thinking of something else?
I could never afford or handle the upkeep of extensions, but I'm still curious what the cost difference would be and what the benefits or drawbacks are compared to the way she had it done with the beads.
Isn’t these cold fusion? 🤔 I am so confused, this isn’t what I know as sew-in - Those aren’t done with beads but with sewing them onto a braid down with your own hair.
I think this is what i imagined when i got my first extensions but my whole head got braided instead first which im sure with the condition\colour of my hair (didnt match the extensions i wanted) was entirely neccessary. Im too afraid to ever try again. They hurt my head so much - it was summer - so i kept getting them wet which i wasnt supposed to.
Wow!!!!! That's expensive!!!!! I used to pay like $120-300 for a sew in with hair included. It's mind boggling how a sew in that I would get is not only different in style and how they're applied but the pricing too. You look amazing with them though. Great video and can't wait to see your rainbow hair with the extensions.
Wow, hair extensions is a profitable business!!
Your make up looked stunning today
You can use that leftover weft to make coloured streak clip in extensions 🌈
OMGGGG it’s perfect, Aislinn! You’re so beautiful no matter what you do with your look 🥰 but this length and color on your is EVERYTHING 😍
I miss when I had my rows in but dang! Mine were nowhere near that expensive!!! Mine was 50$ every move up. And for the initial install with 2 packs of 24 inch hair was 300$. I couldn't imagine paying this much 😳
Mimi is so adorable 💜😭
I love watching your videos. You’re an absolute sweetheart. Your extensions look fabulous, Katherine did a superb job! I would love to know the song that plays on your outtro.
I love the longer hair on you ! Soo much more volume! I live like 2 hours from Kokomo!
I see a lot of people talking about extensions being so expensive and they are but they type that are used for sew Ins 1) has to be the absolute highest grade of hair so you can sleep in it and so it can handle typical day to day friction and weather damage. 2) if you get hand tied wefts they’re literally hand tied and it’s a lengthy process. Machine wefts are way cheaper , I think flat wefts/hybrid weft/silk weft is the best for longevity but yea lol hand ties are honestly the most light weight and most “invisible” or seamless effect.
(Ive done extensions in California for 4 years now and I specialize in platinum blonde hair)
Kitty missed you! So sweet!
Beautiful Aslinn.Love your fur baby.
It looks so good. I love love your videos and have benefited from your suggestions of conditioning based colors, thank you.
You look beautiful! Thank You for sharing this with us. Your cat is adorable, I'm dying lol!😻
The outfit, the makeup, the earrings 😍😍😍 you are so stunning!!! Please can we have a tutorial for this makeup I’m in love!! 💖
You look gorgeous as always Aislinn love your hair! 💕
Girl those Docs are rad! I wish I could still wear them. I wore those for years and years. I'm too old to wear those, they hurt my feet!
I just might check that stylist out, I'm in N. Indiana and have ZERO experience bleaching and toning my own hair. The last salon I went to I asked for silver (my hair was golden blonde at time) and the stylist was a family member, she didn't give me what I asked for. Instead of giving me the silver I asked for, she gave me light brown. I paid $150.00 for that...I was highly upset.
I'm a natural brunette and had been getting my hair lightened since the previous year in preparation for the silver, needless to say, it put me back an entire year in the process. I haven't done anything since as I'm terrified of the salon results
Use "colour b4". It removes hair colour without any bleach or developer, it only slighty dries your hair out temporarily. Highly reccomend!
Same happened to me, but I didn't learn the first time. It happened 3 times before I gave up on hairstylists for color/bleach. I have medium/dark brown hair and bleach it myself to platinum. As long as you're careful and learn a lot about bleaching, you'll get the hang of it. I'll have to go to a salon for a specific haircut I want, but I don't have high expectations, so I'm prepared to do that myself too if needed. What a world 🙄🤷♀
When I went for silver I always bleached and toned it silver. No dyes, but I heard there are some silver dyes on the market nowadays
Aslinn, if you need a head of hair to bleach platinum...I'll be that head of hair. 😊 Love your style
I clicked so fast! Omg! I love you! Thank you for everything. You’re amazing 🥺🥰🤍
omg your hair is literally so freaking pretty you princess 😍😍
Thank you 🖤
Those extensions look amazing and match your own hair so well. I'm glad to see you share this, even if I'd never be able to have extensions cause I go through periods of time where I just can't be bothered with my hair. It's why it's currently super short, cause less maintenance, except for me choosing to start dyeing it again.
I live in Ohio and sew-ins literally run about $200 to install you do have to bring her own hair and that's where the cost really is high and usually they styled your hair after the fact I know we are different communities LOL but those prices are really high I'm guessing maybe because the technique is different
Exactly what I was thinking 💁🏾♀️ but I think they do charge way more because of the technique
Same! Every place I know you usually bring your own hair
I remember seeing the braidless sew in technique in black hair magazine way back in 2006.
It’s a braidless sew-in & I’ve seen high end stylists in larger cities like Chicago & Atlanta charge half of these price or what the first 2 salons wanted. The prices I’ve seen have always been closer to what she paid the third stylist, and a lot the time that was with the hair included
Was thinking the same thing. Black stylists are much less expensive and because we use extensions for protective styling the entire head is braided. This appears to have been for fullness. I’m in California. Bring your own hair, full head install $200-400
If you don't like a silk pillowcase, you can buy silk bonnets - a lot of dreadlocked people use them because they stop our locs from drying out. It's interesting; a lot of the care advice she gave you is similar to what a loctician would give to someone new to dreadlocks.
Finally! I was waiting for this vid, I'm excited for your saw in! 😜
She looks amazing, Good experience and outcome ! 💕
those shoes are so fucking cute. love the green fishnet moment too!
Wow! These extensions are expensive. I've done a full sow in before(costs $170 to install) and I've spent anywhere from $75 to $400 on hair.
I am a new subscriber and have learned so much from watching your videos. I colored my hair purple for the first ever for my birthday. I tried the vitamin c method to start removing color after watching your videos and it worked so well. Just make sure not to accidentally get some of the foam in your ear. 😳 lol
I've been waiting for this video ever since you said you wanted to get extensions!
They blend so well!!!
I had a sew in weft done along with tape ins and girl lemme tell you. My head was SORE!!! Honestly I couldn't deal with having all that on my scalp so I had to take them out.
How many wefts per row do you have?? Looks great! Luv you makeup!
ugh thanks for posting this. I needed this today love uuuuuu
That cat looks so mellowed out,, hes so cute 🥺❤️
The hair looks awesome and your cat is hella cute. 🐈
OMG. She looked super friendly. 😊😊😊
She is 🥰
Omg I’ve been so excited for this video !! 🤩
They look great! Colour match is perfect! MiMi is adorable at the end. Stay Weird!
Oh wow i live in Indianapolis Indiana…. You are amazing at what you do and your hair is amazingly beautiful
You are absolutely stunning!!!!!!
the hair looks really dry is it soft still after u style it? and is bellami your favorite for extensions ? I use their clip ins but im interested in the hand tied extensions now! it looks really natural on you.
Yes! After I styled it it looks just like normal hair 🖤Extensions come with a chemical coating on it. The stylist washes them and does a Malibu treatment on them to make sure that chemical comes off. If I didn’t wash them and just tried dyeing the hair right out of the package it would be patchy and uneven. It’s also not good to apply heat on the chemicals.
Yeah the hair quality doesn’t look the best! The weft should be same length roots to ends, But it is hard to find good quality platinum wefts as they need to be heavily processed. If in UK/Europe - totally recommend BeautyWorks, beautiful hair 👌🏻
yay been waiting for this video!!
They look fantastic on you !
idk how i always catch your videos the second they go up🤣
Can't wait to see the rainbow hair! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
You are so cute !!! I loveee your outfit !!!
You're so unbelievably thoughtful, OMG 🎃🎁
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
0:38 "i will tell you guys about the cost, the price" 😭😭😂
is there a particular reason to use the beads instead of just making a braid and sewing the weft into the braid?
No idea 😂
I’m wondering the same thing 🤔
Hi I believe it’s to achieve extra thickness as with the bead method it keeps your natural hair down instead of braided up
Also braiding doesn't work as well on some hairtypes and I feel like it feels less tight and the scalp is still better to reach
That looks about right. I live in Michigan and salons around me charge anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 for sew ins.
I have no interest in extensions but wow! What an informative video! And the hair looks really nice.
Tbh Michael's killed it with the Halloween decor this year 🎃
Yessss the video I've been waiting for.. Woot
I’ve been waiting for this!!
I love this method! I’ve done it on myself a couple times while I was growing out my hair. Of course takes a lot more time but I could not afford to go get them done. Luckily my hair is long enough now 😁
She did a amazing job!!!
You should do a haul of your Halloween decorations and are you going to dress up for Halloween?? ;)
I need a partner who looks at me how your cat looks at you!
Omg how did I not know you live in IN!? I live one state over from you in Chicago, IL!! Hey state neighbor! Lol I know you're probably not bear like Munster or anything but one I feel like we would have been friends if we lived near each other, doin hair dye sleepovers n sfuff! 😊❤
Love that you are from Indiana.
I love your hair! You look amazing with that length of hair. No way could I afford extensions, I’m just going to impatiently wait for my hair to grow back out.
I was in Kokomo yesterday!!! Aislinnn fellow Hoosier here 🌽
We need a kitty cameo for every video , please!! 🥰
Omg girl where are you from? I’m a little under 2 hours from Kokomo
🌻Although beautiful, sew-in x-tensions are a pain in the butt; more cons than pros; they are heavy; sleeping on beads isn’t very nice; the beads will get loose and the wefts will droop and be off kilter; (I used pliers to repair my wefts but it’s not easy to DIY); they will mat from humidity, certain hair products, etc., and there will be breakage; if you got platinum blonde hair you can’t just bleach and tone every 6 weeks time as they need to be removed; the overall cost is simply outrageous; very expensive to maintain in addition to specific hair treatments, the repairs, constant brushing, resetting and replacement, etc.; got mine done once for a heavy metal concert then gladly removed my wefts with pliers a month and a-half later.
Thank you for such an honest review. Without the full details of the reality of having extensions, one can’t make a fully informed decision. Of course, there will be those that go ahead anyway because they’re happy to sacrifice time, energy, comfort and money in return for a luscious head of hair that boosts their self confidence and esteem (I myself have fallen into similar categories before and still stand by my decisions). However, if you aren’t aware of those cons, something you’re so excited for can become such a disappointment. Setting the expectation is key. Thank you 😊
Yaaaaay been waiting for this! :D
I call my baby kitty boy Bubba all the time too! His name is Rowdy, and he's not a technical baby at 8 years...
Love your makeup 💄 😍.
Not her getting her stylist a bunch of gifts omg. Aislinn you're the sweetest
I CLICKED SO FAST
Me too
You beat me 😭
