when my hair was really really damaged aphogee was the only thing that made my hair doable, i had tried the ion but it just didn’t do anything for me
My Sally's was out of the aphogee so I bought the ion and it was def not the same or even comparable. The ion did absolutely NOTHING. I was so mad. I hope I can get my hands on aphogee soon! My hair is in despair!
I worked at Sally's beauty supply for 3 years, and I absolutely hated ion. I never recommended it or used it because I felt it sucked and did nothing. All of my coworkers loved it and would upset it to everyone and I didn't get it. I used it before I even worked there and felt like it did nothing. Ion is absolute trash. Only thing I really like is some of their hair dye and their silk drops. That's about it. And trust me. I've tried almost everything there.

Amy Enfinger i had always only did aphogee since i first bleached my hair, but i wanted to try ion just to see if it would work for me since aphogee is a little messy and it didn’t at all but i waited a month before doing aphogee again to not have protein overload
I mean if the afogee helps repair my hair I’ll do it I mean I don’t think there’s one hair color remover or dye or protein treatment that smells decent and works properly!
It smells like old lady to me, almost earthy. But I don’t think it smells like chemicals or most color removers😂

shameemali39 not everyone has access to olaplex, as it’s only for licensed cosmetologists, and aphoogee is much easier on the wallet.
@@dduran6735 it's sold in shops i buy it all the time only olaplex n01 and no2 are just for hairdressers as it's added to bleach. The rest of the range is available worldwide

When I was bleaching my hair to platinum I swore by the apogee two step process. It made it so much more manageable! It’s messy, a bit of a pain to apply, and yes smells... BUT the results speak for themselves. It will save your hair.
Can I apply it right after I bleach my hair?

Im due for my aphogee treatment. You just reminded me to do mine tomorrow. It’s my holy grail for my bleached curls. Smells horrible but the results are unmatched.
Healthy hair staples:
*intense protein treatment every couple weeks
followed by a deep conditioning masque
*alternate between protein and moisturizing hair masque weekly.
*olaplex #3 added to my weekly deep conditioning masques.

Olaplex no. 3 is not a conditioner, it simply strengthens.

That's crazy. I use it too. I use to use the packets but this time I got the bottles. It's way easier to apply. Once I run out I'll probably buy a packet or two and pour it there. Lol but neither of them never smelled. It's probably just me lol. So that's werid.

I’ve used the aphogee a few times over the years and it’s a game changer for over processed damaged hair. I pour it into a spray bottle to apply!
I also tried both after a year of bleaching my hair and I also noticed a huge advantage to the Aphogee treatment. I actually bought the larger bottles (4oz) so I could do a protein treatment every 8 weeks or so. It DEFINITELY saved my hair, more than Olaplex, miracle masks, or deep conditioners.
I bleached my long black dyed hair that was down to my bum 5 times!.... it damadged it alot! But apohgee saved my hair... its been a year now I've had a few trims and my hair is still really long past my bra strap.... apohgee really is great stuff I couldn't get a comb through my wet hair now I can and its getting there!🥰

You should try cutting it shorter first and then doing the treatment and then last resort just cut it all off if you really want to. My hair is super damaged right now from bleaching it alot but its still strong and I know once I get my hair cut itll feel way better.

I have tried both of them yes you’re right about the ion one is better to use when your hair ain’t that damage. The other product yes is better to use when your hair is breaking off.

Thanks for taking one for the team on this, I can't imagine doing something to only half of my hair, but this is by far the most convincing way to compare products.
Highly recommend getting some olaplex...brought my hair back from the dead. (I’m a hairstylist) I can’t do protein it effs me up.
I should mention I washed my hair and then put olaplex 3 in my hair and slept with it in and then washed and cond the next morning. I’ve done this several times and it has literally fixed my hair from straw to basically feeling like virgin hair.
I've used the Aphogee treatment multiple times and always feel a difference on my bleached hair. Their Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer leave in spray is suuper awesome also. 🖤🖤

I’ve used the aphoogee one many times, and I have dark brown naturally, I’ve never tried the ion one before. I use the aphoogee one in a spray bottle mixed with water on my dry hair, I’ve found it’s the easiest way to apply it. Then I’ll go sit in the sun, or I’ve worn it as a style and washed it out before. Currently my hair is pink and orange, it’s been red, blue and purple. Definitely one of my favorite products I’ve found.
10/10 wouldn't recommend the ion one. It's a waste of time and money. Definitely stick to the aphogee in my opinion if you've used it and already love it
Ive used the aphogee but not the ion treatment. I could instantly tell a difference with the aphogee! Its definitely a great treatment I recommend!

I've had the aphogee treatment for months but haven't used it. Now I have your feelings and I'm glad I made that purchase instead of the ion again. When I used the ion I felt the same way so I felt the need to try a different product and I'm glad that's the one I bought and now feel confident using it

The aphogee treatment literally is the only thing that makes my hair manageable. I have had green hair for about four years straight now which means lots of bleach! I prefer the aphogee karatin spray treatment that seals in with heat. But I love all their products! I agree that they could use a fragrance revamp though
Fragrance is terrible for your hair. I would rather just deal with the smell than use something that's supposed to help with ny hair but does damage because of Fragrance

I love the ApHogee treatment so much more! I put in in a spray bottle for easier application....then rinse it out after so it doesn't dry up inside the bottle and clog it.
I LOVE the Aphogee treatment. It brings back my curls that I lose from bleaching. Also used it to help my daughters breakage after bleaching, works like a charm

I am so glad you mentioned that excess protein can make the problem worse. 🙏 I was using the red bottles Ion repair mask and a daily conditioner and I was so sad, i thought I was going to have to cut all my hair off. Then, i just switched to a regular conditioner and my hair revived.😭

That Aphogee treatment has saved my hair from falling out of my head when I left bleach on too long. I swear by it! The Ion one was just a nice conditioning mask for me, but didn't save it when my hair was fuuucked

I haven't used that Ion product before, but I've used the Aphogee treatment for a few years. They also have a slightly less involved 2 step treatment that I use once in awhile. Great line of products.

I've used the apogee and its extremely sticky. I flip my damp hair over and make sure my hair is hanging over into the tub. Apply the product and blow dry. The smell is strong but it makes my curls come back to life. I typically use Shea moisture black castor deep conditioner and steam my hair for 30 minutes🧖
Aphogee is my favorite!!! It’s my #1 must have product for bleached hair

just did the Aphogee treamtent on my bleached hair yesterday and all I can say is WOW! I had lost all my waves from bleach it and after doing one treatment my hair is wavy again! Not just ~kind of~ wavy but almost wavier than it was before I ever bleached it!!
I’ve only used the Aphogee 2 step treatment, and I thought it did a good job. I agree step 1 smells terrible, but I love the smell of step 2! Only thing I’ve tried from Ion is their Wellness Solution Nourishing Mask, and it’s soooo nourishing.
Hey Aislin! I'm obsessed with bleaching my hair too and when I over process or it becomes dry and breaking off my go to's are Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Anti-Breakage Leave-In Treatment after every shower and I use Extreme CAT Anti-Damage Protein Reconstructing Rinse-Off Treatment like once every week or 2 weeks depending on the damage. I use the Redken All Soft Mega Hydramelt Leave-In Treatment after I apply the anti snap and my hair comes out feeling super soft after styling.
I'm not sponsored by Redken or a hairdresser or anything lol, I just know it works for me!
I feel like the aphogee ended up drying my hair and even tinted it yellow, I didn't like it at all. CAT is a much better easier protein treatment.
Aphogee is always my go to and I always recommend it to people because it really does work wonders on damaged hair.
I’ve used Aphogee, Ion & olaplex. Aphogee worked the best for me. Helped bring back some sort of curl pattern. Also my hair was no longer melting off. Aphogee as a once every 3 months treatment & olaplex as maintenance once a week or every two weeks is my go to.

Aphogee forever! That stuff rocks! I use once a month. I tried Ion once. It did something, but not as much as the Aphogee. I also do treatment when I want to make a color change. It will seriously fade fashion colors. I would say it pulls out more color than a baking soda treatment but actually improves my hair instead of drying it more.
I've used the ion one of my bleached hair and it made my hair knotty when wet also. I didn't like it. I will definitely try and get my hands on the other stuff

Giovanni Nutrafix Hair reconstructor is what I use and it's AMAZING. It's not as heavy duty as these treatments, just a regular ol' conditioner, but it really does work on damaged hair and smells like tutti-frutti. It makes hair easy to detangle and feel thicker, but not as "brittle" as some protein treatments can do (also vegan and cruelty free!) It definitely saved my hair when I went from black to magenta to white in a year.

I just used the aphogee because i toned my hair the other day and for some reason it made it super dry again but the two step treatment is a life saver to me and its only like $4. It just turns your hair back to the way it was, manageable, soft, and just amazing. i recommend.

Thank you for this. I am in the UK and I had fried my hair with triple bleaching. I tried Olaplex and just about everything else on the market. Then I was recommended Aphogee, WOW! Yes, it has a strange smell but the results are great. From fried to silky in 1hr. I highly recommend this product too. Maybe a drop or two of essential oil would help the aroma?
I use the aphogee one religiously. The two minute reconstructor is great as well

I use the Aphogee products quite often. I love the two step protein treatment but you cannot use it often because it will dry out your hair and break it off. I like to bleach my hair as well and the Aphogee treatment has helped to minimize the damage and to keep it from breaking.

Using a spray bottle for the aphogee is definitely the way to go! I did it that way when I used it last time, after years of using just my hands or a brush and bowl and WOW it's so much easier with a spray bottle 😂 I felt so stupid for not trying it sooner lol
Ugh I'm so late for this video so you'll probably never see this but I loveee Aphogee products. None of them smell amazing, I agree. But I use the "balancing moisturizer" A LOTTT and also the "keratin 2 minute reconstructor" occasionally. I've never used the 2 step treatment though.
I have textured 2b hair, which it’s wavy.
I use the aphogee because it targets my textured hair way more so it’s a stronger treatment especially to help anyone with course, thick, thin, textured hair...
The ion still works but I noticed it works best on anyone with straight hair, since it’s not as thick.
The treatment isn’t as aggressive since straight hair doesn’t need many oils/proteins because straight hair isn’t as dry or frizzy like textured hair, textured hair is wavy hair to 4c coily/kinky curls
Its like you knew that I needed this video cause my hair was damaged enough already then I did a dumb and went and got highlights and attempted to tone and here i am
