The artist known as DIM was an accomplished concert pianist who achieved a good bit of notoriety before disappearing from the classical music scene some years ago.
I suppose that you will find similar bands if you search in the channel. These 2 projects have a renaissance style and i guess that you have to look towards this direction if you like uplifting tunes.
Grim and loveless, I dwell on my mountain. I heed no prayers but to send doom, caring little if men live or die. I breathe power to strive and slay into the souls of man, as I stand vigil over the Fields of the Dead. Dismal enough to need some good DS. It is fitting enough haha!
@@cromalmighty3954 It sounds like you preferring living dismal days, I am more fascinated by the eternal sky which...you can say always looks up on their days.
@@TMFeilla I successfully got my friend into Age of Wonders 1 in about 2016 largely because of the music hooking him long enough for him to realize how well designed the rest of the game was, we still play it sometimes. Probably one of the best video game soundtracks, possibly ever.
@@GrimgoreIronhide i've tried playing with my family again in recent years (I grew up playing the game religiously). However, the multiplayer has been crashing a ton on windows 10. Have you found a way around that?
I actually managed to get a tape of this album; I don't know if any are still in stock but you can check Out Of Season's web site to find out www.outofseasonlabel.com/categories/tapes-in-stock
Thank you for this music. I've been really sad recently. I'm trying not to focus on it, but I really miss my friend/lover. She made me feel things I didn't know were possible. Even just hanging out as friends brightened my day. Now she just seems really distant. I'm trying to find inner peace and fulfillment, but it's hard. This music always makes me feel a little better though. 🙂👍
My first encounter with the harpsichord was when I was really young, playing Heroes of Might & Magic 2. It just fit the atmosphere of that game so well. If you're interested in classical pieces, you can search UA-cam for "Bach harpsichord music". He was one of the classical artists that used the instrument extensively.
08:32 sounds a lot like The Witcher soundtrack, especially from the first part of the game. Also like the "The Witcher: Music Inspired by the Game" album. Check it out, it's brilliant! Great release btw
Vaguely, similarly to how Undertale just vaguely riffs off of better games while pretending to be unique. Just Tumblr-flavored WarioWare with a lazy, boring overworld between the minigames.

Interesting! How do you know? Greetings :)
this is deep lore
That is interesting, really cool.
This true??
You can just tell this more melodicaly sound than most DS. This person really understands melody
DIM and Fief are among my favorites

You'd probably like Soltri if you like DIM and Fief.
@RendSever You should check Moonless Nights

Oh my god, only magic music in this channel
What a masterpiece! I'm in love with Dim sound!
This reminds me of the original Age of Wonders soundtrack to an insane degree.
One of the greatest OSTs of all time. And definitely a huge degree of overlap with dungeon synth, I would agree

@@TMFeilla No, unfortunately not, thankfully the game load super quickly. Save often is my only advice.
Que álbum perfeito, a trilha sonora para uma viagem além das épocas.
Pode crer, mto bom mesmo esse som.
edge of town is a FUCKING BOP
why are you typing like that
absolutly beautiful.
Amazing. Simply amazing. Almost at Fief levels. And by that I mean, almost god-like.
Oh cool, it perfectly fits for a game I'm genning.
Glorious.
great melodies excellent work DIM
One of the best on this channel
Very nice. The closest thing to fief I've heard so far
Fief is my favourite DS artist, but when I discovered this work I was amazed, good musicianship, very nice sounds and songwriting, top stuff!
Amazing Great music....
Oh man, Sellsword's Grotto is something else!
This would be so damn awesome on tape!

Ouvir estas músicas é como se aproximar do que é mais divino e puro e transforma todas as outras aflições em coisas insignificantes
I would love to have this on a cd or even cassette
same here man this artist along with fief and lord lovidicus stands out.
amazing
Love this! Does anyone know who's the painter of the artwork?
Love it
This one is also very good.

Does anyone know what preset is used in the first bar of edge of time ?
Took long enough to post this, I bought it a few months ago on Bandcamp.
Wish For Honor used Dungeon Synth.
Dim dude... can you give me the tabs please? I can't find them :(
hahahaha
Ah yes *sips ear gray tea* I do quite fancy this fine track *powders white wig* Butler, do you per chance know when the biscuits will be ready?
What synths are used here?
CineHarpsicord for sure... probably some other CineSample stuff in there.

This is the entire genre of shoegaze to me. Just people throwing slop at the wall to cover up how they can't play their instruments or write music.
99 % of Dungeon synth music is terribly boring.
